  • Lindsay Briggs vs Lindsay Ellis

Litttle Miss Gamer VS Nostalgia Chick.

    /w James Rolfe | /w Doug Walker. |

  • 20 Haloheads here. BTW I hate how the industry put specific ganers "niche" into notion. There are people who buy systens just to play soccer or driving ganes. Or Halo. Or the casual thing. I spent 98h on Baten kaitos, which I think is one of the nost beautiful experiences I ever had with a gane. And itsvery unlikely that these segnented narkets/people would be interested in such a beautiful thing. Ganes are great. All of then. Don't be a Halohead only, open to the true original world of ganing.

  • That Haloholic demonoid is a Nigel fan! Which means he's probably also a Republican.

    }:-D

  • The premise of this game reminds me of Tenacious D. That floppy diggitty dog has a melonbean head! XD That Halo demon guy is a hilarious parody of online gamers.

    I want a Sno0py dog! X3

  • I had this game and loved it. I traded it in a long time ago and have regretted it ever since :-(

  • This is a pretty insightful review. I, too, noticed a lot more about the game when I watched a friend play it through. (Especially in the UFO level—I could hear so many melodies I didn't notice before.)

  • Ironically, i spent the first hour or so cursing this game out- and then my bf picked up the controller and whizzed through (to the shark)..... as stated in reviews, Easy (for others anyway :p) to pick up difficult to master.

Oh yeah, and Ps2 compatible Ps3's don't agree with this game all that well (the characters flicker, and there is timing issues) best go with a ps2.

  • I wish I could get this but i don't have a ps2

  • man this game is just too awesome i had both copies and beat both master lol very hard but u for got bust a grove 1 and 2

  • 4:33 Hey, I have that thing hanging in my closet~

  • My fav part where that xbox live guy got his eyes bruned by Little Miss gamers Skills in Gitaroo man.

  • plz do

    parrapa vid

  • dude the master's play is too easy for me i played it before plus you can't figure out how to get in a warthog on halo dude go to fileplanet download halo(pc) demo and play multiplayer and go to ipwnyoun00b

  • NERDY HOTNESS I WANNA BANG YOU

  • HOT DOG flavor, nooooooooooo!!!!!

  • You are really pretty! I like you!

  • Pro gamers=Demons...?

  • My first rhythm game was Vib Ribbon and I found it so solid. My next one was Donkey Konga, and I was really good at that straight away. I dunno how I can answer that question now :/

  • its a shame it wont work for me on my ps3 with the emulation software. Although the psp version is just as good it would be nice to see it with better graphics once again. (I hurt my wrist a few days ago attempting to beat stage 4 on masters (space lamprey guy)).

  • YOU GOTTA BELIEVE!

  • @SupremeDominator lol first thing i though of when i first played this game!

  • don't forget about pa rappa's sister game Um Jammer Lamby

  • I remember my first exposure to rhythm games. It was Parappa the Rapper. I didn't know the playstation controller at all so I sucked at it.

  • I thank you for introducing me to such an amazing game. Quite possibly one of the most unique games I've played.

  • <3 the intro. XD

  • omg, the thing when you played halo with the type of match you didnt know how to play exactly happened to me once XD

  • Sanbone trio is the farthest? I am on Gregorio and almost beaten him!!!

  • No but Gregorio is a pain in the ass xD

  • Personally, I think the toughest ones were Ben-K (Stage 4) and Zowie.

  • i just got this on ps2 and love it love it love it

  • zomg BEST INTRO EVER!/ Best game ever!

  • Gitaroo Man LOL i love this game and it's so rare to meet someone that have played it xD i can't belive there is a review XD

  • its not such a big deal to clear master!....i beat it on both ps2 and psp

  • AWESOME!its so cool to see that a girl is actually interested in games!everyone says girls never like games but you are a pro!awesome job

  • I believe my first rhythm game was Parappa the Rapper. Then as I grew up I got hooked on the Bemani series (DDR and Beatmania mostly).

Keep it up, Z! Your show is awesome!

  • erm... this game isn't that hard, I only had it for about a week n I finished master mode, its still an awesome game tho

  • Oh I LOVED Gitaroo Man! I wished tehy made a sequel....

  • Also, rhythm games like Vib Ribbon & Parappa were awesome! Rhythm Heaven is a MUST for modern day rhythm games.

  • Maybe the GBA one;the DS one is pretty lame compared to the GBA one...It's so gimmicky (I mean the stylus controls).

  • little miss gamer is so pretty :) i just can't keep watching her, and she also make very good reviews!

    thumbs up for her!

  • I love these paper intro ^_^

  • there is hotdog flavoured icecream in the US ?!

  • luv this game

enjoyed the cheesy plot that contributed to the humor and the unique game design

orgasmed in the 2nd to last stage

    it's genius

  • my first RG was um jammer lammy.

    couldn't get past master onion

  • Guess you need some practice, eh?

  • well i was 5. i could probly merderize that game if i had it now

  • I LOVE rythm games. I play Rock Band drums and DDR every week. Wish we had an arcade with drummania ._.

  • mmm, my first Rythm game was GH III, I was away from games at the time and waaaay away of the times when I played at bands, so, that game was the link of my childhood hobby, my adolescence dreams and my adult way of knowing that no matter how hard the day at the office was... I can still see my friends yelling at the screen

  • i really like rhythm like samba de amigo and donkey konga with the bongos and the wiimote in fact donkey konga is one of my favorite games of all time like 2nd or 3rd best i do like that you reviewed a rhythm game because i really like rhythm games i hope you try out both games :)

  • I've beaten master mode....but it took me a WHOLE YEAR D:<

  • The first rhythm game I played was actually a game on Aerosmith's "Nine Lives" CD. It was a regular album, but it had interactive features when you put it in a PC. I think it only required you to push one button, but it still seemed quite tough at the time. It was nice going from that to PaRappa the Rapper, a couple months later.

  • God, I love this game- I'm so glad I got it around the time it came out. I managed to complete it on master mode- but only after an epic 3 month struggle against Mojoking Bee and much tearing my hair out.... :(

  • The first 10 seconds caused me to subscribe.

    Great video.

  • same with me, totally subscribe.

  • This is awesome. I believe my first rhythm game was donkey konga, I kind of forget.

  • I played Gitaroo Man on the demo at my friends house, and I liked it so much that I nagged him into lending me it. Then one day I found a copy of it in a store mixed in with the usual pile of crap games in one of those bins where everything costs like 10 bucks, so I immediatly bought it, and since then I've never seen another copy anywhere at all. Oh, and I've gotten to Gregorio on Master's Play. Sanbone Trio was so difficult I got kind of burned out after getting past it ;-)

  • gitaroo man rocks man, just knowing you were ultimate and not anybody knowing about the game as well made it twice as sweet, but since i wanna get the game again i cant find it. Disapeared without congratulations.

  • Awesome video. FYI, it's pronounced ko a

  • got this for psp and ps2 XD, and Legendary Theme (Acoustic) is easy to play most ppl can get a handle of it ^ ^

  • saw it at gamestop used for 25 dollars but i got killer 7 instead for 5 dollars cuz it was the only copy they had for used condition

  • In reply to that first letter she read, games can't be static, they're like classic books to explore and appreciate ;p Glad Gitaroo Man is covered_^)

  • t was pretty cool when I found this on Playstation Magazine demo. Heh, it was so hard just for one boss, but it was awesome when I could do it without thinking. It was awesome, too bad the game is hard to find.

  • god I love this game. it's a shame that it's really hard to find in stores. I had to get my copy online. and I couldn't get passed Mojo King Bee on Master. This game has some of the coolest music I've heard in a rhythm game.

  • i love the intro

  • is this avgn's sister lol

  • lol i beat the whole game on master mode :D

  • What about umjama lammy?? :(

  • good review

  • If it was ported to the Wii I would buy it, iNiS = <3

  • I beat the game, S rank on Master, save for the last song, Ressurection, I can't get higher then B

  • i'm glad this was ported to the psp but playing on the psp's analog stick cramps my left hand really fast lol, awesome game!!!

  • I love the part where LMG go I'm good at.... GITAROOMAN!

Its just like the game. That is so awesome!

Greatest game ever BTW. The Legendary theme is the best song ever.

  • Great game, I need too get it sometime from Ebay.

  • It is a great game, and I advise you all to get it. However the Ben-k battle was unforgiving on my first time playing. XD

  • wat

    Ben-K was extremely easy, bro.

  • The first time playing, you didn't lose to it?

  • The first or second?

The first one was kind of hard if you didn't get the pattern.

  • First

  • Pretty hard until you realized that it was really easy and you weren't doing it correctly.

  • AWESOME INTROOO!!!

  • I was gonna write that too!

  • OMG

WoW i've never seen gameplay for this game..

    NOW I MUST HAVE IT!!!!!!!

    Thanks LMG!

  • I can beat Panpeus on Master, but that's it. ._.

Sanbone Trio is the hardest boss for me D:<

  • The trio are easy once you get the pattern for the dodging part at the beginning... But trust me, if you're unlucky enough to get the hard version of Gregorio's song... You'll have a very hard time passing the game from that point :P

  • I can't believe someone with a low IQ giving out advice like that. Amazing. Simply amazing.

  • i have this game on my psp

  • Pretty cool. Hey, if you ever learn to play the legendary theme, will you post it up on Youtube?

  • Gitaroo Man is amazing! Unfortunately, I can't find people to play with, since it's hard for a lot of people I know (one of my friends even goes so far as to say that the game's crap, just 'cos she can't beat Panpeus!) I picked up the game quite quickly and beat it without losing once, but then came Master Play - I never knew what hit me! I can beat Master Play easily now, but not even watching me kicking ass shows the months upon months of trial, error, and dedication I put in to get there

  • if you have a psp homie, i'll play withcha any time (JUST found it for psp ^^ ^^ ^^)

  • o this is i renemeber playing it it was so fucken hard

  • I agree, but it is very fun.

  • this game is one of my all time faveorates.

when i was about 10 i went into gamestation and thought "whoa this game looks sweet" so i bought it and to this time i finish it every mounth sometimes even 2 or 3 times cos its awesome :3

  • how his it favorite i cant even beat the alien guy

  • thats cos you suck...bad

  • HOW IS BABBY FORMED!?

  • lol

  • Have you ever tried Amplitude for the PS2? It's a rythem game that uses the controller.

  • ROFL! The beginning... I'd be the person yelling 'get on, get on' at my sister... she wasn't good at that game at all.

  • reminds me of parappa the rappa

  • Wow looks like a unique game. I shall keep my eyes open for it.

  • That gamepley looks incredibly unique.

  • I guess i can call myself hardcore since i love this game.......

  • willing to bet you are not any better looking. and who are you to say she is ugly to begin with? what, you work for cosmo or something?

  • actualy, i found her to be very cute ^_^

  • She is adorable!

  • @CabooseAzul Oh Yeah !!!

  • Pull yourself together, Z!

  • The boss Gregario III must've been kicked out of Malice Mizer for not being cool enough lol.

  • I tried this game...i can get past the second level but may be the psp version will be more forgiving since it has an easy mode

But i do like it i just want to beat it now is what throwing me off the ps2 version.

  • Wow a lot can change in a day

    I just beat normal difficulty

  • Gitaroo man is GOD!

  • Look's awesome.

  • Oh, I've heard of that game.

  • Noob is a term Noobs use:)

  • Wow. Now I'm going to envision Kazuya and Zowie like a wretched demon.

  • I remember watching video previews of this on IGN back in 2001, but sadly never got a chance to play it. They made a remake for the PSP a few years back as well. Nice review btw.

  • o thank u

  • oops sorry i clicked on the post comment buttem twice

  • hey i hate to seem rude or anything but why is Captain S seson two a comic?? why? are u guys going to make captain s videos from the comics? i just got to know? i am a big fan of captain s

  • We have said many times, the comic is NOT season 2. While we raise money, write scripts, and get ready to film, the comic fills the gap.

  • Around how much money do you need now to get Season 2 going?

  • Gitaroo Man kicks so much ass.

  • good question chad

  • I love gitaroo man!!!! sept still stuck on sanbone master play :P. My only complaint about the game is when your finger accidentally slips and hits start, right at the end! and you have to start over.... sept not for the psp ^.^!

  • goddam awesome

  • I loved Gitaroo Man!!! excellent video!

  • cool cartoons

  • Well put together vid.

I can identify with the comment about music, etc from my "childhood" since I dig tunes from the end of the 60's through the 70's, even though I wasn't born until '75. That was the stuff I heard being played by my mom and older siblings while I was growing up, along with my own contemporary stuff at the time (80's-90's).

  • Z has a Captain S poster while the Halo player has Nes poster lol.

  • Love that Halo Gamer puppet.

  • Chad or the demon?

  • Love the into. Great work well done

  • I meant intro

  • That was an EXCELLENT review! VERY VERY well done. I wish you just had your own account. PS I think your dreamy.

  • "I'm good at...GITAROO MAN!" "AAAAAAAAAAH!"

I found this bit rather funny...I've been annoying people all day repeating this line cause I found it amusing for some reason...

  • I first played Gitaroo man in 2002 in a demo and i was hooked but it took me 2 years to get the proper game in the UK because it was so rare, its been 4 years and i'm still playing it, great review PBCProductions and i agree best rhythm game ever :)

  • Funnest rhythm game IMO is probably Samba De Amigo for the Dreamcast. That was one of my firsts. I was never very good at DDR and as funny as Parappa the Rappa was, once you beat it, you're pretty much done. Space Channel 5 is also good, but like Parappa, once you beat it, there's little reason you wanna go back to it. Samba is a game you could play forever.

  • great game

  • Z thanks for this. I love Gitaroo man! Though, I really sucked at it. I am going to pick up the PSP version because you reminded me it was out on it.

Plus...where can I find a woman like you. Pretty and likes games! haha

Keep up the good work. The reviews are pretty good. The only advice I would say is the intros are sometimes a tad bit long. Other than that good stuff!

  • Agh the version I bought was scratched and I can't see the ending! Looks like I'll have to get the PSP version. Ironically it's cheaper new than the PS2 game was used.

  • when you do a face melting solo it will actually melt face lol

  • Z you really make me want to play this again, I'm gonna go look for it tomorrow. And I love the hand drawn intro! 5 stars!!!

  • "everybody theres a new king in town! get ready! mojo mojo mojo king bee!"

  • This is the greatest episode yet, Z! This is one of the best shows on the internet. I can't quite afford the PS2 version right now, but the PSP version is getting some great reviews, so I may give that a whirl.

  • Have it on the psp it kicks sooo much ass

  • nice video!!!

by the way it's pronounced co-ay(^-^)

  • Gitaroo Man was PRODUCED by Koei, made by INIS. Who are famous for Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan on the Nintendo DS. I actually put in Gitaroo Man every time someone asks to play Guitar Hero just to show them how a good rythym game plays (trust me, not one has believe me).

  • Is Koei the creators of Dynasty Warriors?

  • yes...

  • Gitaroo Man was a great game. I remember playing it on a demo disc that the Official Playstation Magazine included in one of their issues and I thouth it was sooooo good just from the one level that the demo let you play. If you can find it on ebay for anything less than $50, BUY IT!!! Anything less than $50 is a steal for this game!

  • The first rhythm game I ever played was DDR. I absolutely sucked at it, and sometimes failed on Beginner. Nowadays, I can play most of Heavy.

Rhythm games are also now my favorite type of game. Especially Ouendan, that's a masterpiece.

  • In response to your question at the end of your video. The first time I ever played a rythem game was Dance Dance Revolution. I saw two kids play it at an arcade and was hooked on it instantly. I think that rythem games will be around for quite awhile.

What we need though is a new release of Bust A Groove. That game was awesome.

  • nice video if i see the game i might pic it up but turock and devil may cry 4 comes first and can i just ask when is the next seeson of captin s happeing (sorry about my spelling)

  • Where the hell is that video shot that you're outside without a jacket and nobody is anywhere to be seen?

  • Z does a great job at these reviews

    much probs PBC.

  • hahaha, Alexander and the terrible horrible no-good very bad day was one of my favorite books growing up!

  • Reminds me of Katamari...

  • cool vid, i LOVE Gitaroo Man, hard tho

  • Nice intro.

  • Who cares if you can play guitar, you still look cute trying...

  • The opening of that episode is so cute. (^^)

Great one, awesome job again, PBC.

  • That.looks.hard

You really deserve a whole load of compliments for doing so well on that game. So yeah: Great job! Nice vid too.

  • Great stuff, as always! :)

  • Gitaroo man looks cool, I'd buy it but I don't have a Ps2 or a PSP.

  • I love it ^^

But how do you make it longer than 10 min. ?

  • Apply for a director's account.

  • Where and how?

  • Same way you signed up for the user name you have now, just choose director's account instead of the standard one.

  • i think you had to have signed up for a director's account a few years ago, back when it was harder to get one. even though i have a director's account, i can't post videos over 10 min. because i missed the cut off date.

  • Interesting. We signed up for our director account in January of 2007, I believe.

  • You're good people. You have my support. For great justice.

  • Man, first StarTropics and now Gitaroo Man? You're awesome, Z!

I used to own Gitaroo Man... I've only beaten the Sanbone Trio on Master twice. The beginning is as hard as #$!@ and near the end it just throws everything possible at you.

But yeah... the first time you start playing this game, you're in bliss once you beat those first few levels. :)

  • i wish the show would get picked up by like G4 or something, but they'd probably make it suck anyways. Great show with a lot of awesome charisma. Keep it coming!

  • Wow, another good underrated future classic since God Hand on the PS2. ^^ I might try that out. ^^

  • awesome video
