  • respect the silver age of comic books

get bashed by people who dont know about a batman earlier than the 1989 burton movie

  • Who is blue beetle fighting

  • @Suziex9 Darkseid.

  • @powerbomb411 Didn't they say he was Kanja--Ro or something like that? Darkseid's bigger and scarier.

  • @thevampirefrog06 Yup, been a while since I watched the clip or show. You're right.

  • @Suziex9 My mistake. Kanja--Ro.

  • Ok now ik where to watch the cartoon network stuff :)

  • Just an amazing piece of craftsmanship.this movie that you can find on cartoonsi.co.cc is funny, extremely moving, and also very suspenseful!

  • I am seeing it on freecartoonsus for now! Overall, perfect cartoon and I will definitely buy the cartoon on blu-ray when it comes out.

  • It actually IS a good show. It doesn't kick ass or anything, but it is still funny, good and shows lots of DC heroes. Which is sweet.

  • I was obviously expecting this to be a solid 9 film based on initial reviews, I saw it on freecartoonsus and it ended up being way much better than even I had anticipated.

  • 0:04 SHORYUKEN!

  • The hell are you talking about? Can you try that again, but this time in English?

  • @powerbomb411

Let me mak it clear to you what coxmikki was trying to say: I iz da retardz wgoz cammnot spek anglish deee

  • omg is it so hard 2 make a good dark Batman cartoons as i like it ?

  • this is a tribute to batman of the 50 who wants always dark

  • BATMAN'S VOICE IS HOSS DELGADO XDDDD

  • holy damn, i think it is! ...from the grim adventures of billy and mandy? :O

  • Yus! O:

  • I....... think that i need more time for me to like this show because this is not the wayy batman should be......for starters batman smiling. what the hell is that

  • This show is cool; I love the animation, the fight sequence, the comic timing, and

the shinning light on normal super eroes such as the Blue Beatle and Doctor Fate.

  • no one liked the batman? the first season of that show RULED! really good writing. deep for a kids show.

  • I agree with the other people who are willing to give it a chance. It is the old version or Golden Age Bats from what I read somewhere. It's great in it's own right. They want to go for campy style and they are setting to do just that. Doesn't have to be angst Bats all the time(though IMO that's the best type of Bats). I like angst a lot, but this one is just a fun one. It has great moments like with Joker and Owlman and others that I should probably watch. Continued...

  • Just continuing(apparently I'm being a blab). Any way, just give it a chance people. No wonder the world's going down. There's not enough open-minded people around. Give it a try before you bang it. If you have, good for you. At least you saw some of it before you went all "bonko-crazy-bats-angstaphobia".

  • What the ?

This campy excuse for a batman, actually makes "The Batman" look like a good show.

Like someone said, the voices are good.. but.. too often, this knew show comes off as "trying to be kool"

This show feels more like a geek dressed in a batman costume, trying to act out the role !

  • Everyone who compares this show to Batman the animated series is a R E T A R D. This show traces back to Batman's roots during the Golden Age of comics.

  • for the people who are dissing the new Batman show, i guess you never read the batman comics in the early years or remember batman in the cartoons and t.v. in the early 70's . this is a tribute to the characters in the golden age of comics of the 60's. if you can get past the Kirby like style and watch the show you will find out that this show is a gem in the rough and the character's on film are dead on to the ones in the old books. if you know how to read.

  • from the batman angle, its bad, at least compared to BTAS and JLU. but i think it does a decent job of showing the other characters.

  • not only his show sucks they made some heroes into villians like static shock, metamorpho < hes an allie/hero & how is it that the only hero in this show is updated is bluebeatle everything else they made it look like from the 80s except for bluebeatle, i mean sinestro is even hero in this show this series is scwerd up i dont see it makeing to season 3 ill be surprised if some adult fan of batman likes this show im not one of them

  • This show is a piece of crap. The voices are okay, but the presentation of the characters and action are awful. The show seems too humorous and the music seems too jazzy and upbeat for a Batman show. Batman should be darker than this, dammit!

  • THANK YOU! This show is so GAY only the 35 year od tools who still live in their mothers basement likes this because they like ANTYHING to do with batman even its stupid

  • Justice League Unlimited was the last truly great show to appear on Cartoon Network, anyway.

  • Batman was originally an upbeat, PSA announcing crime fighter; that's who he was. I'm tired of of how everyone automatically assumes a character is cool if they're agnsty. It's all about spikey hair and black clothing and never cracking a smile, I've seen to much of it and I'm afraid that I've just gotten to bored with those types of characters. I'm glade they made Batman they way he used to be

  • ... Batman never had spikey hair. I don't know what the hell you're talking about. I enjoyed the animation style of the old 90's Batman cartoon, Kevin Conroy's voice, and all the villains in the show. Batman being a tough guy isn't the only reason I liked that show more than this one.

  • I'm not a fan of this style at all. They need to go back to the JLU story and artstyle. Watching this and not liking it makes me feel old, because I want a darker more serious Batman cartoon and they changed it into a light hearted kids show.

  • Kids today are gonna grow up to be wussies, when I was growing up I watched Batman TAS,Superman TAS,S&BA, JL,JLU,Batman Beyond, real shows, shows with balls.

  • The TV shows have nothing to do with it. It won't help when their parents are offended by everything that happens. This world is full of pussies.

  • @powerbomb411 When we're parents, we aren't going to band stupid crap. but maybe by then, everything will be banned already :/

  • true i growed up watchin those shows to and my favorite of all time was static shock

  • They need to show more violence like in the Marvel animated films but nooooo they want to appeal to the little wussy kids of today

  • This is the WORST version of Batman in history why can't they just make a good version of Batman...At least Christian Bale did a great job as the Dark Knight

  • Two words: "The Batman." That show was complete and utter bullfuck.

And if you somehow didn't guess, this show is meant to be a campy, over-the-top show. It worked for the '60s show, it can work now.

  • What in the Blue Hell is this?? This just goes to show that kids today are getting even wussier

  • An evil alien gets the shit beaten out of him by a kid wearing an awesome robot suit? How that "wussy"?

  • is the beetle guy also the voice of spiderman? sounds like him.

  • I checked. It's a no.

  • Jamie Reyes/Blue Beetle III is voiced by Will Friedle, who played Terry McGinnis/Batman Beyond.

Also, even though Ted Kord/Blue Beetle II is dead in the DC comics universe, he's going to be showing up in this series and will apparently be interacting with Jamie.

  • christian bale played the best batman

  • oh yes he cetainly did. SWEAR TO ME!!!!

  • This cartoon isn't bad at all. It's simply not a dark cartoon. This is meant for kids, not adults and not teenagers. It's campy and cheesy, but if people can handle the Adam West Batman and the shitty excuse for what Christian Bale tries to do as Batman, then everyone should be able to handle this.

  • well i loved ''serious'' shows wen i was a kid. Adam West? sure that too, but that is the 60s.

poor kids aways assume they cant handle it.

  • Agreed.

I fell in love with this version the second I saw a reference to 'The Aristocrats' joke on a tv in the background of a scene.

This show bears up to closer inspection, owing to sly tongue in cheek humour.

  • This has to be the worst batman version EVER. I LOVED the Kevin Connroy version...and loved "THE BATMAN" version on the Cw....but this 1 is just awful.

  • Well...The voices aren't bad...But Deidrich just isn't Conroy...And the show just ruins the "dark" feel of Batman.

Yeah, gotta present something to the younger generations but when I was young BTAS, TNBA, and Batman Beyond were cool. The Batman is suitable as well.

And I know they wanna show the less know peeps of the DC Universe, but when you can't show them in their full glory, why show them at all? We aren't getting their story from this and that's what I like about them. Their story.

  • an insult to the batman

  • Yes, the fact that you don't like this show is indeed an insult.

  • Bob Kane wouldn't think it's an insult.

  • This video is of Episode 1x1 'The Rise of the Blue Beetle',orig aired 11/14/08. Features the second Blue Beetle after Ted Cord died around 2005 and this young man takes over his role. Also features alien villain Kanjar Ro, an enemy of the Justice League first shown in the 80s or 70s I think.

  • Hahaha @ 0:24. Nice background distraction

  • With "The Batman", I think it was the concept art for the villains (like the Joker, Toyman) that put me off it. Plus the voice just wasn't Batman...even if he was suppose to be a younger version.

However with this one I'm being quite optimistic. Deidrich Bader doesn't do too badly in voicing the Dark Knight and distinctively sounds more like Conroy in comparison to "The Batman". One of the big plus points is they kept with original looks of the heroes and villains in this.

  • I didn't get into "the Batman" at first...and it took me till about season 4 to get on board. I went out and bought the DVD from the four seasons and it wasn't so bad after all. Yeah..it took me 4 seasons to give it a try..but it was well worth it. I finally finished "the batman" last night and have now seen every episode. It was GREAT. Give "the batman" a chance..im sure you'll like it. Better than this crap.

  • This is a little like the old comics used to be. Well, not quite this bad. I don't think any of the main Batman villains are in this show, Joker especially. Probably total failure. I mean, this makes "The Batman" look kind of good.

  • As soon as I heard about this on the Late Late Show, I KNEW it would be horrible. I don't know why I even watched this video to check...

  • Worst Batman cartoon ever

  • why would they go retro with every other character accept bluebeatle?.......seems kind of odd to me!

  • Love the designs, but the writing looks pretty weak. I love oddball campiness as much as the next guy, but this is no Teen Titans. By the way, I loved the writing for Teen Titans, but never warmed up to the visual design.

  • WTF is this? :( batman deserves better

  • Totally agree. Campy is NEVER the way to go with a dark vigilante and DC's most iconic superhero.

I don't mind seeing the "lesser" heroes of the DC universe getting introduced to a new generation, but this is not the way to do it.

  • yea i know what u mean, i'm just so glad when i was growing up i had the Batman Animated Series which is by far the best batman animated show ever

  • To compare it to Batman: TAS would make this show a crime. But to take it on its own...a children's superhero show that helps promote DC's lesser known heroes from the comics...it's not too bad.

  • I'm a big Batman fan, i like Burton's movies, Nolan's movies and of course Bruce Timm's series.

In all of them there is a "dark" Batman. Hoewer I like this nem series cause it has a nostalgic visual to the golden age of comix.

I hate the "The Batman" series cause it want to be so cooool ( like the Scuhmaer films)and i hate that kind of cooolnes. Batman vs Dracula - what they're thinking?

  • Arg I'm watching that now, and only because Batmans coming on after, but I think it's this episode unfortunately.

  • Also all this screaming and bickering about the show and the new batman is almost the exact same criticism that the new Joker from The Batman series got. Just because there is a difference in design and attitude on your favorite character, you immediately bash it? Wow...talk about intolerance. There's like soo many different versions of Batman and his villians, it's like choosing a preference now. People...you're allowed to not like this show but don't forget; the writers and staff are fans too.

  • well its' not just the joker it's alot of they villins I feel they look to exsatrated to me unlike 90's batman

  • You know. I'm just laughing my ass off at all of you and this show.

I agree this batman is different than most of his early predecessors but i guess i can get use to him since the animators and writers are suddenly getting back into the 1950-60s style of the characters. I gotta admit..the show is funny and i like the new batman but i like the dark knight better since he was the one i was raised on.

  • This isn't bad, for a first-year run. Batman: The Animated Series was unusual in how good it was in its first season.

Still, it's going to need to get better before its second season, or B&tB is going to die of poor ratings.

  • People, Batman was once a dumb fun goofy character. ITs a man dressed as a Bat, that already sounds stupid. Personally I thought the show was fun. Yes Dark Knight is one of the greatest movies of all time, but Batman cant always be serious. WHY SO SERIOUS FANBOYS

  • i agree what the fuck is this !! this is bull .. bta series still the best next to justice league , superman .. and the batman .. this is .. crap !!!

  • God! What is this? Batman in space with a bunch of little semen monsters? WHAT THE FUCK????????!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Epic Fail.

  • its like 60s

  • please more justice league unlimited.!!!!

please this is just not the way to go

  • Wow...this looks AWFUL.

  • IM DEPRESSED! i like this show but...i dunno. its over. its all over. batman the animated series, the adventures of batman and robin the new adventures of batman superman the animated series the new superman batman adventures justice league batman beyond justice league unlimited it ALL OVER! NEVER AGAIN! NEVER! :(:(:(
  • better than superfriends?... yes... that doesn't mean its any good though.

  • plus, i rather enjoyed Bader's conroy-esque voice for Bats... kind of a combination Kevin Conroy-and-Adam West, really

  • I echo chillcity1's comments... I was indeed entertained by this version and my 2 youngest boys watched it as well.

I loved the Timm produced DCAU, but alas it is no more. I think I liked this Batman better than the WB's new "The Batman" (i.e. Bat-Chan) cartoon from Saturday mornings....

  • i like blue beetle

    he rocks

  • Blue Beetle needs his own cartoon.

With Will using the Terry voice instead of the Ron voice.

  • For those saying this is for kids, I'm 40 &happened to have the TV on Cartoon Network when B & B premiered. I was totally entertained. What you're missing is that there is a generation MY age who grew up with a more fun, less-gritty version of Bats, in the comics & on the cartoons. I'll grant you this is not the Batman of the current teens and 20-somethings, but they might have created a show that works on 2 levels--for both the young kids AND those old enough to like the retro look at Batman

  • is it just me, or does Batman sound like Hoss Delgado?

  • Never heard of Hoss Delgado. Looked him up though. Same actor for both voices.

  • Sounds like an imitation of Kevin Conroys Batman actually.

  • fucking ron stoppable as blue beetle, why couldn't Will use his terry mcguiness voice?.It would sound a shit load better

  • The voice actor for Ron Stoppable did the voice for Terry Mcguiness?

Cool i did not know that.

And hes doing the voice for the Blue Beetle?

    Nice.

  • ''i just saved batman, I JUST SAVED BATMAN!''..lol..don't know about u haters but this looks like it could keep me entertained for 30 mins, and im old enough

  • i think it looks awsome too

  • I prefer the dark version of the Batman.

well he was originally supposed to be very dark but because the old live-action show got so popular they decided to make the comics similar.

I also think parents complained or something.

This show could become a great show eventually if they have good storys but it does not feel like a Batman show.

I wonder how everybody that hated The Batman will react to this.

I like the Batman and except for the 5th season it was a great Batman show.

  • I don't think this show will be better than The Batman.

  • ya me niether

but i do think it'll be a fun break tho

just seeing batman team up with people like Wildcat, Fire, Plastic Man, Green Arrow etc.

  • Everybody understands that this is for little kids right?

  • i'm just liking the blue beetle right now.

  • im loving this, lol.

i think the best way to watch this show, if you're a fan, is to think of it as a spoof or parody. that's all it really is. and if you look at it that way, it's awesome.

i'm just hoping the show is funny to people of all ages, not just kids.

  • Rapes the good (or rather bad >:D) name of Batman....

  • way to go kid. (little punk...!)

  • blue beetle's looking pretty spiffy, but what's with batman?????

that voice is nothing like batman.

that outfit is from golden-age batman.

it just doesn't fit today's batman, who is darker, even in the newer cartoons.

i'm almost ashamed to have this be a representation of batman.

  • This batman is just the early 50s-60s batman with some edge. Anyway it is not a bad show. I love the dark (orginal) batman, but sometimes there is a thing known as too much darkest. Remember, there are many versions of a superhero: For example, there is the classic, cool version and the chessy but funny and entertaining version.

  • This is the greatest Batman ever.

  • "Great I get to deal with this now."

    First time seeing blue beetle.

  • I haven't seen Batman look this goofy since Adam West wore the mask.

  • A lot of people have got on the wagon calling this series shit-looking but you gotta remember that DC needs to create a new fanbase for the future. If little kids today aren't interested in Batman then they'll be no one to read DKR or Killing Joke in the future! And I do like the bit at the end when you realise Batman hates this crap as well!

  • i actually laughed at how stupid this looked still as a batman fan i'm gonna watch the entire series (help me!)

"Starting tonight, people will die...I'm a man of my work...HA HA HA!" - The Joker

  • WORD!

  • Oops. Yeah wrong typing, thanks!

  • Fuck yes, Deidrich Bader.

  • 'The Batman' was a worthy successor to B:TAS, and does not deserve your scorn-this show does deserve it, though.

  • I'll give 'The Batman' this. It's better than 'Superfriends'.

  • OH okay thanks for the update... must reread the info given with a video...

  • When exactly is this being released?

I'd just like to know why Kanjar Ro thinks he killed the blue beetle and how the latest blue beetle is explained in this series I mean...

  • All I can say is thanks it was very enjoyable!

  • Pshh... I'm up for another batman series, but it sucks to know the only reason they're doing it is because Dark Knight is such a huge hit.

  • I think it's hilarious how Batman manages to sum up exactly what alot of Batman-fans think about this.

"Great. I get to deal with this now."

  • what badman is this?

  • wtf is all I can say. I'll watch it, but wow.

Reminds me of the batman and friends toys, but with some rather violent and adult injokes. Adam west classic toon styling with modern attitude.

  • Thanks for posting! That was cool!

  • Why Cartoon Network? Why?

  • Awesome :D

  • Fuck yes, Blue Beetle.

  • Hmm, don't know how I feel about Rex Kwan Do Batman or non-mexican Jaime "Hernandez"..

But hey, it's nice so him him animated, and hopefully it'll help save the comic.

  • Is Blue Beetle's comic getting cancelled? Maybe that's why he's now in the Teen Titans book...

  • Yes, it is being canceled.

  • needs more blue beetle.

  • wow this looks amazing. cant wait

  • FUCK YES.
