  • Not bad men, not bad...

  • My Dad would always comment on how beautiful Germany was, the woods in particular, in contrast to what they were doing over there.

  • Great video- beautiful countryside!!

  • if u find a ww2 relic like a german helmet in a different country from where u live, will the airport allow u to take it home?

  • @sickcunt1218

    i dont know ,,

when in doubt the better option is to send it to your home adress in a package / parcel

  • @Diggerww2 thnx man! big help

  • I think the americans take the bolt out because the germans surrendered right there and just left it on the ground, maybe the german soldier self left it because he was surrendering

  • @desfa000

i wonder what they did with the bolt ? buried with others

would be great to find the bolt

  • @Diggerww2 probly kept them as a suvonier(sorry about the spelling)

  • when i see old weapons and vehicles in such disrepair... it breaks my heart in so many ways. Such great pieces of history left rotting in a bog, or buried in the grounds over years to rot and decay.. bodies are one thing but metal guns and ammo like this... it's just upsetting.

  • THANKS KENNY

  • Wow!!!! A verry good find apart from it's missing the bolt.

  • @thebritishww2man

thanks ! one of my best experience in ww2 searching

  • @Diggerww2 Great vid. I hope you find your Tiger 1 ;-)

  • @Geekman333

thanks,a tiger tank would be a nice frontyard ornament ;-)

  • possibly burnt on a fire to keep a soldier warm?...never the less its a great find well done.

  • @Axeman02

thanks ,possibly we shall never know,

  • amazing find!

  • Wat voor metaal detector gebruik jij?

  • @unicyclejonas

i started with garrett ace 150,then the 250 with the large coil,

now i use garrett euroace with a SEF butterfly coil.

    cheers

  • @Diggerww2

    thanks

  • dunno much about magnet fishing but i do use the Garrett AT Pro for WW2 relic hunting, and also found some good stuff including german helmets and ammo,my best find was a luger pistol..i found it near the Reichswald forrest.

  • why is the wood gone?

  • @PrivatePeterson

after more than 60 years in the ground or laying on the ground ,

i,m not suprised, its just rotten away..

  • Hey, nice vid :) What type of meteldetector do you have? I search for relics here where i live, Fortunately is legal to search for ww2 relics in norway so there is no risk to do something stupid, The only person you have to ask is the landowner.. What kind of magnet do you use to search in water? There is a lake next to where i live, During the second ww ther was a lot of activity there. Among other things a POW camp and a very big batteri :)

HH and a Happy new year to you :)

  • @NorthernNorwayDigger

    Thanks!

i use a Neodymium magnet that can pull 120 kilo,s

i there was a lake near me with ww2 history i learned how to go scuba diving to the bottom :-)

i think you seen the video,s from Dirty Diver ?

    Gun,s , Statue of Hitler,very good mp-40 , k98 , helmets ,i like his video,s

HH and have a goog 2012

  • @NorthernNorwayDigger Is it Illegal to search for ww2 relics anywhere in Europe? That would be a stupid, and unjust law if ever there was one.

  • @Laevi1337

whole of germany is i think forbidden to search war relics ,coins is accepted

    the rest i dont know

  • Sad. In all probability the person who touched the rifle before you did was the man carrying it. And in all probability he died or was dying when the rifle left his hands. Beautiful place. Excellent story you have told here. Did you find the 8mm stripper clip near the weapon's remains?

  • @gooberon

    offcourse it,s sad ,

i dont think the owner left it when he died,

there was no bolt in the rifle, maybe it was stripped when he surrendered?,

or he died and the allies stripped the rifle and left the remains

we will never know...probably this rifle killed some people...

and yes the clip was found in the same area in a german trench,

we found several clips in 1 hole ..some even still had bullets in them ...

  • That whole area is a treasure trove, but metal detecting is illegal in HF and fines are hefty. Better watch out ;-)

  • Indeed great find- i am searching ww2 relics almost 3 years, and had found from weapons - mosin nagant M38 rifle. I hope i will get one k98 soon :)

  • Poor rifle :(

  • wish i could find one

  • It's an early or mid war K98, as it still has the bayonet lug on the end. Late war K98's did not have this feature. Lucky surface find!

  • @KampfimSonlez

    thanks for the info !,

yeas extremely lucky surface find for 2010 ...,i was pretty surprised ,cannot discribe the feeling !

  • That'll buff right out. Electrolysis.

  • band of brothers theme?

  • mooie vondst!!! en dat nog in het Hurtgen top!!!!

  • Now THAT is pretty amazing!

  • yep ...lol !
