You need to increase the light samples. I know it would take a bazillion hours more to render, but it's worth it. It would get rid of the grainy effect.

Yes, but is it all used by blender alone? Or are there other programs used to put all this work together in one vdo? I just got blender about 2months ago and still having trouble with it. It's so confusing.

The thing about Blender is that it's so extensible, you can create scripts to bind together just about ANY other systems.

However in this case... Blender will have been used for the modelling and animation, Ardour for the Audio, and Transcode for video conversion.

This animation is a great start. The sound effects are wonderful. My only complaint is how short it was and the lack of a more complex story line. From what I did see though I'm impressed.

For a beginner, I believe that that was awesome. It isn't the program that is making it look bad, it is the person, everyone knows that. But considering what it takes to do animation, for a beginner, I would have to say that that was actually quite AWESOME!
