Hey Jeremy. It would seem a quick tutorial on integrating Komplete and FL studio would be much appreciated. I just purchased Komplete 7 Elements and would like to use it in FL Studio 9 which I also own. I seem to have a hard time using Komplete with FL. yo, this is nice. i just komplete 5 and am looking forward to playing around with it. what midi controller are you using and can you use m-audio with anything (cubase, ableton, etc)

I'm going to get punched by someone for not doing it justice, but the controller's actually a Virus TI Keyboard, haha.

I have a sustain pedal. I know some controllers support it, but not all, so make sure you get a look at the rear panel before you pick your Casio up. The port may be jack "Hold".

Got demo's of the Native Instruments plugins and try to make some instrumentals and beats with it. I know it takes time to understand to use it well. But that will pay out once and I like to learn using it.

Really looks and sounds cool! But I'm still practising with making a decent melody, you know ;) I just bought a midi keyboard and it's getting slightly easier. Do you have some tips for me? :p I'm making music like Trance/Dance/Hardstyle.

Most trance is in minor, so that's always a good place to start. Beyond that, start listening to lots of instrumental music and try recreating the melodies. You'll develop a style from aggregating all of your favorites together.

For me, I think a lot of this piece came from Massive Attack and the rest a bunch of new age pianists.

I am a fl studio user - i like it however I will slowly move to Sonar - there are certain issues with fl studio such as tempo change cant be done in a project and its midi editing is just horrible

As for tempo changes, you can access the automation controls by right-clicking on the master tempo. From there, draw in the tempo changes and watch the details screen (under the File, etc. menu) for the numbers.

As for MIDI, I think I prefer FLStudio over every other program - but that's me. Are there any particular trouble spots that bug you the most?

Seems YouTube is super finicky about posting URLs. Have a look for "Glitch VST" in Google. It's a VST FX though, so you'll have to apply everything to individual channels. For a look at how I've used it, check out the end of "lunatic divide" on my Facebook page. Hope that helps!

Some people hate on FL Studio. Honestly once you get rid of the stock samples and get some nice filters in there its an amazing sequencer. Adding something like Komplete 5 just makes it that much better. Very nice!

Hold on. I'd like to expound a bit more. Reason, FLStudio, Ableton Live, Sonar, Cubase, Logic, ProTools - they all have sequencing components. They all have mixing capabilities. All of them, except Reason, use VSTs. FLStudio may pump out the most "n00bish" sound because its a popular starting tool, but by no means is it limited to that. In the end, they're all the exact same thing.
