  • ахахах! Ну и музычка!

  • лол!

  • Heh, I recognize the second song--it's from a Commander Keen game, though I don't remember which.

  • Good ear! I knew someone would eventually recognize it. XD

It's the Gravitational Damping Hub song from Commander Keen 5: The Armageddon Machine.

  • I get it now.

Sometimes I wish more mods let you attach scopes with Laser Rangefinders and drop indicators so you could find out exactly how to aim to compensate for bullet drop. I mean, the game already tells you how far something is when you're not using a scoped gun, so why not make use of something like that for a scoped gun where bullet drop is much more important?

  • True, you're basically stuck with looking at it with the reticle, then having to use the scope and keeping the distance in memory. Then again, you don't really make that many long shots in most shooters nowadays though.

Of course they'd also have to factor in wind speed for bullet drift, and make useable mil-dot estimation scopes. ATM I think the crosshairs are just for show. An authentic sniper simulation would be cool though.

  • I'm not asking for full-on sniping where you would have to memorize lots of complicated equations to hit anything. Most of this game's gunfights take place at 400m or less anyhow.

An old free-form game called "Boiling Point: Road to Hell" had rangefinder indicators on their scopes for sniper weapons, so you knew exactly how to compensate for bullet drop. Of course, in real life they do this with spotters, but it would made sniping less annoying.

  • I'll have to check that out, I believe that was a European-only game. But yes, function range-finding scopes would be sweet.

  • I bought a copy myself, and truth be told it was more complete on release than STALKER was. A no-loading world, working vehicles, faction wars, a more detailed faction-reputation system, upgradeable weapons--all of that in 2004, by a Ukrainian developer named Deep Shadows.

Of course, it simply can't duplicate the atmosphere and tactical combat STALKER achieved, but the game was a great accomplishment nonetheless.

  • Wow, that sounds pretty good. I'll have to order a copy off amazon lol

  • Stoner

  • LOL, thank you. I was planning on releasing an all-Stoner vid on 4/20 but I forgot.

  • Eugene Stoner.

  • Yep, the AR-15 designer.

  • The AR-10 came before the AR-15.

  • Well yeah but he's best known for the AR-15. Personally the Stoner 63 was his best design, I think.

There's a little "tactical" gun store in Tallahassee that I frequent, the guy there sells AR-180B's, similar to Arnold's in Terminator.

  • You get an SR-25 in BrainBread to0 also!

  • BTW, remember when you said Duke 3D set to "Shock to the System" would be a good video? Checkit!

I also included Futuristic Sex Robotz' "Fuck the MPAA" which pretty much sums up everyone's opinion of YT's copyright Nazidom.

  • Copyright laws should protect against plagiarism, not manipulated for the sake of jacking around with people who love music.

  • Yes indeedy and that was what it was for prior to the passing of the DMCA and entities like the MPAA and it's cohorts.

  • By the way, extremely clever how you matched your title with mine.

    Dragun vs. Knight. XD

  • Thankzors! To be honest it wasn't even planned, I originally intended to call it "Knights of the Old Republic" but then I'd feel obligated to use Star Wars music which would probably get yoinked by HitlerTube. It definitely worked out though!

  • 6:28 = pwnshot. \8-D

I to0 noticed how beasts can withstand quite a few shots from sniper rifles. In my case, 7.62x54R. Especially fleshes. Even headshots. It takes a few (at least two, sometimes more).

Note: The reason you don't see me in Pripyat very often is because it's an unreliable map that crashes all the time.

  • It's hardware intensive too, I have to go there at certain times of day in certain weather to get a decent amount of frames. Also there's not a whole lot of places to hide from blowouts. There is a trader though. I'm planning on doing an all-Pripyat vid eventually.

  • The Pripyat trader's name is Kanyhalos, named after the head honcho at OLP Team. I've never gotten to him because I can never stay in Pripyat long enough before the game crashes.
