The problem is not oil its the way we run our society. There is plenty of energy, geothermal, Wind Solar, wave, just one of these could give us energy for 4 thousand years, we need a systems aproach to gonvernment. I know this sounds crazy but we need a resource based ecnomy.LOOK UP JAQUE FRESSCO.

@Ztiller1991 It's just like Jack in A Few Good Men - "You can't handle the truth!" If you buy in, he's a profit, if you can't handle the truth he is an asshole.
I recommend to the viewers that are watching this trailer or reading this blog, that people really need to watch this movie. It must be the best documentary I have ever seen and it has opened my eyes to see how the world works. I really encourage people from all over the world to watch this movie. This collapse that hes talking is actually happening from all over the world. From Europe, Middle East, South East Asia, Africa and so on. Please, you wont regret watching this documentary.
To all the people reading this blog, please watch the movie Collapse. It is not some Conspiracy theorist individual. He discusses Conspiracy facts and talks about where this country is headed. It is not a horror movie but many people will be terrified after watching it.
Those leaders will sacrifice the rest of us in order to avoid their personal doom. Those with power and wealth will survive and tell their grandchildren that it was they who preached about "sustainability". What a world.
Actually, the chances of somebody in upper class making a successful revolution is higher than lower class doing it. But the USA doesn't have the belief in class except that most are lumped into the middle class. Or they have a strong sense of individuals or corporate entities over community. So I don't know how Americans are going to have serious discussions on energy and economy.
I personally am just too lazy to do anything. That's all I have to say for this video.
Right. Thats the main problem together with a non existing political education.
But i still believe that the leaders can't sacrifice there customers, borrower, working force, voters ...
And yes i'm too lazy too. I don't have money too lose so why should i care?
I live in Germany, the mentality here will never let people starve to death on the streets - something like this can only happen in the 3rd world or USA.
its going to happen all over the world, the USA is actually better off then everywhere else, socialism is not going to save you from the simple fact that our population is too large for the energy we all consume.
sorry, but germany is going down like a house of cards. other nations are already in full upheaval, in the u.s we are dealing with increasing unemployment rate.......the u.s is the center of the world whether you like it or not, if it wasnt...all other markets would be fine.
The United States does not have a belief in class because there is some truth to the myth of upward mobility, here. It is a fact that most of the wealthy here are self-made, not wealthy through inheritance. Yes if your parents are of a certain poverty level, you face long odds, but I have heard stories of a homeless guy getting a 1600 on the SATs and so forth. Ability can get you far. If you have neither wealth not ability nor friends either, then you are screwed.
@llothar68 We are a sybiotic system... if we go so will they. Who will gaurd them, cook thier meals, grow their food... WE WATCH YOU WHILE YOU SLEEP....DO NOT FUCK WITH US-Tyler Durden

Vegas allways survives the collapse. No exceptions.
Also, his last line proves that this guy has some creepy liberator's complex. And that's terrible.

Money property system is ROOT problem.
1. people need food, water, energy, medicine, etc.
2. money systems require scarcity, so they will never create abundance of 1
3. sharing ALL resources and knowledge keeps small groups from controlling everyone
4. we have the resources and technology to provide EVERYTHING for the world now
5. automating the production distribution, frees up humanity to no longer be wage slaves to governments or corporations.

The upper class can only be an upper class because of the existence of the lower class. They can't sacrifice them.
What we need is an uprise against them. Not just watching videos and crying how bad everything is.
