We were going to stay at the Amargosa next month, but with all the negativity I've been reading about in the news and elsewhere, I am certainly not interested now.

@spoonido You are wise. The Cal Dept of Equalization is now doing an audit of sales taxes on $350K that Regnell pocketed and not paid for 2009-10. It's public info, check for yourself. This is money in addition to the 50k he stole from Martas museum project, the 40k plus and equipment he stole to do the algae project and the daily cash revenue he pockets from the Cantwell's Cafe and the Opera House. From what I have heard the Cantwells were told to stay away and were givin restraining orders from the judge to stay away from DVJ for at least 3yrs..That says a lot considering they were asking to be put in control of the cafe.. and of course we were told that the injuction was thrown out so the Cantwells either lied or did not have enough facts to support their position. So now it is time to support Marta and her group and go and have some of Marta's World Famous Pies...LOL

@oneheadhunter The truth is as follows. The Cantwells were told that they could not be made whole with the small injunction amount of $10,000 because their damages far exceed that number. The Cantwells are prepairing their lawsuit against the Corporation and are working with the real Board of Directors to confirm serious criminal charges against Mr. regnell. The Restraining Order against Mr. Regnell is also still in place and he is still ignoring the Termination Order by the Board of Directors.

Did my homework and found out the following.The food and service at the Cafe at DVJ was originated by the Cantwells in 2009. Since their business was temporarily stolen by Rich Regnell, (his arrest and suit pending) they have moved the Original Amargosa Cafe to the LONGSTREET INN & CASINO in Nevada. The original quality of food, service and Theresa's original pies are only available at one place on earth. AND IT'S NOT DVJ. CA. No one any longer believes your Facebook BS Mr.Rich,(oneheadhunter)

Wow!! Marta Becket went to Independence to court monday to defend and protect her town and legacy from Individauls who were trying to steal it from her. The judge sends plaintiffs back to Amargosa Valley without an injunction (thrown out) and restraining orders for 3 yrs to stay out of DVJ...Marta Becket and her staff prevailed and will continue to do shows and of course the cafe is open as always

@oneheadhunter WOW, Marta Becket oppened her self up to a major Law suit being prepaired and filed soon. Mr. regnell actions will prove to be permanent damage to DVJ. The dog and pony show he puts on daily is fooling no one. The Cafe Business Owners(Cantwells) are professional business people that opened the Cafe in the middle of no where and in just 18 months made it world famous. Marta Becket is a performer, Regnell is a truck driver and Chavez just tags along. The reality is transparent.

Regnell coached Ms. becket on how to do the new board member scam which gave him and Mary Lee Chavez more power. Ms. Becket would not know how to do that on her own. Regnell started out on an honorable path but greed larceny has taken over and the Corp mission is off track.

It's me Sandy the former performer. It has been just over a month that I have talked to MARTA or have done a show, IF THESE WALLS COULD TALK. The harassment from Rich Regnell, backstage, would drive anyone away. My girlfriends no longer wanted to come see the show because of Rich corning on to them. Poor Marylee, if only she knew what was really said behind her back.

My research shows the Amargosa Cafe owned by A-Valley Enterprises LLC in Gardnerville NV. Managed by Local business man Mr. Larry Cantwell and his wife Theresa. Theresa is a renouned baker, cook and professional cake decorator. The Cantwell built and opened the Cafe in May 2009. The IRS and CA State records show no records of ownership of the Cafe by The amargosa Opera House Inc. The Amargosa Cafe is operated under the A-Valley Enterprises LLC EIN Number since May 2009.

Con man Rich Regnell broke into the privately owned Amargosa cafe on Thursday night, stole money, files and food in an attempt to steal the business away from owner Theresa Cantwell. Regnell has scarred Ms. Beckett into giving him control of the Opera House and Hotel through intimidation and with the help of a new shady Board of Directors From Ridgecrest.( names coming) Mary Lee Chavez tells workers that "it will be easier to get things done when Marta dies"

@DVJINFOGUY As a private investigator I reviewed the ownership documents provided by Ms. Theresa cantwell and have verified through Inyo County that she and her Corporation are the rightfull owners of the business aka Amargosa Cafe. She will soon have a proper legal action and suit filed to get her business back. Will report information as received. The amargosa opera house Inc. does not own the Amargosa Cafe Business.

Hey we had lunch at the Amargosa Cafe today - what a find! We wanted to escape Las Vegas for the day and decided to go exploring the Amargosa Valley...we had a wonderful day. My husband has a wheat/gluten allergy, and the waitress at the cafe could not have been more accommodating. Super lunch, great place, we'll be back.

The staff at the hotel and cafe are the BEST thing to happen to this place since Marta came here herself back in the late 60's. It is an great encouragement for all us "amargosa-philes" out here seeing new things happening here, and a comfort to know that Marta has helpers around her that share her enthusiasm and vision for the place.

I wish them the best. I had the best omelet there on Saturday morning. The conversation was great. This restaurant was sorely missing in the Junction. Glad to have it.

Amargosa is really a stunning place.
