wait I thought The Winnipeg arena was home of the Jets scince 1955 . IDK what team played there from 1955 - 1972 or later . But after it was home to a minor league hockey team from 1996 IDK - 2005 or 2006 then imploded and tugged to be all gone .
i remember when i went to the forum when the habs clinch the finals against the islanders, i was 10 years old and i thought the roof was going to fall on our heads, it was the craziest crowd expierience in my life.
Why are they tearing down our HISTORICAL spectrum? It makes me want to cry. That is where Philly became one of the WORLDS BEST. When they beat Russia, won the cup, bunch of other stuff l8-(
Nothing better then the Winnipeg Arena coming down..... Or at least attempted. The asshole who was hired to do it fouled it up. Dumbass, But the old bitch came down eventually.
The Winnipeg Arena was built in 1955 went down in 2006. But 1972-1996 for Jets hockey, WHA and NHL.

I think the Chicago blackhawks used the St. Louis Arena as their home for a little while.
herom24 2 years ago
@herom24 The Chicago Black Hawks have had just 3 homes in their 84-year existence:
1926-1929 Chicago Coliseum
1929-1994 Chicago Stadium
1994-Present United Center

Jorskin24 3 years ago
The Cleveland Arena from the '30's to 1974.
krezzykrezz 3 years ago
That was the original Barons, AHL. The NHL Barons (ex-Cali Seals) were at the Richfield Coliseum from 1976-78.

This is awesome! The NHL has lost a lot of history with the new, yet very dull arenas. That Omni arena looked pretty wicked.

I got to see a Hawks game there, pretty close seating, but the decor was very 70s. Beats that place they got now tho.
