I always see the ?'s regarding why ZR-1 went 10.9 and the Z06 went 10.8

Tack temperature, humidity and other factors play a role in ET's

But the ZR-1 may have a 133HP over the ZO^.

It also has about 220lbs of extra weight which can hurt top end!

The official curb weight of the 2009 ZR1 was released to be 3,352 lb

the Z06 is 3,130

CLose but no cigar the ariel atom can still out run the ZR1 and get 32 mpg doing it. It has been recorded getting 10.5 to 10.6 with a reg driver so imagine what the ariel atom can do with someone like this guy driving it yeah 9s or lower. And it only cost 65 grand and is street legal. And can do 0-100 in 6 something. For those who say it isnt a real car snce it doesnt have ac and windows and stuff then i guess a F1 chanpionship car isnt a real car ther cause it doesnt have that ether.

I had just 8 passes in this ZR1. Believe it will run 10.6X on DRs with a few more passes and under a little better conditions. The two passes in this video were the car's 22d and 23d of the day. Car was heat-soaked and would have benefited from a cool-down.

I hate to tell you Keif4diamonds...but Gm already tried a 7L with a super...and guess what? the car had too thin cylinder walls for lots of boost and was not up to the task in a reliability stand point...and forget turbos...way too much heat...that mule burned to the ground...so go ahead and make stupid horsepower on a blown 427...but it won't last nearly as long as a 100,000 mile warranted ZR1

I was guest-driving the ZR1 owned by ZO6 Jeff. So I made a soft launch and a relaxed 1-2 shift.

In my 10.85 pass my driving was diialed-in (I own the car) by 51 previous passes, I launched it harder, made a very strong 1-2 shift and was running in much better weather.

Give me 50 passes in the ZR1 and it will run low 10.60s on DR probably at 134. Quite something for a stock car with a warranty.

Different conditions can vary on the same track since atmospheric pressure and temperature varies all the time.
