LOL, I live in Urbandale, I really like our town, especially at night. I like to go hot rodding down town on the weekends but in the winter its a tough one.
Oh, yeah...guess I didn't give that any thought. Sledding is pretty awesome, it's free. The Art Center is always open, it's free too. There's stuff to do here, but you REALLY need to search in the winter. Maybe someone should address this with the Greater Des Moines Partnership. You have a very valid point.

Des Moines is only fun when you have transportation. No license and or car makes for a very boring living situation.
I guess that applies to a lot of areas other than Des Moines, though.
