I would add that Mormons want us to respect all religions because they want to be respected themselves and they know deep down that their own religion is just as corrupt as the others. As an ex-Mormon I can testify that they love to mock Christians, it is in their heart to do so. We don't spend all our time bashing other religions, we don't dedicate entire meetings talking about other churches being wrong. There's a verse in the Bible that says no man may see God save he be of God and save in this context means except. The guy that is calling in my opinion really needs to reflect on what hurt the LDS cause by having a book (book of mormon) that hooks people in their church when there is a FLOOD of evidence that there is NOTHING in the ground to support that that book is true. The LDS religion does not believe that all religions are corrupt. No member in the church is perfect. Someone may have said something wrong, but the religion does not attack Christianity. Why would the LDS religion want to take over the world. It's just a religion. It is a set of beliefs. I don't understand why there is so much tension. Are the LDS leaders killing their members? The pamphlete that was handed to me talked about a great apostasy in the ancient Church. If you call people apostate, are you NOT criticising them? I've always thought being an apostate was a bad thing. I asked the two very young elders when this great apostasy is supposed to have occured. They said by around 50 or 60 A.D.! That was when St. John was still alive. I am fairly certain that St. Paul & St. Peter were as well! They had the Apostles themselves turning apostate. Jesus, a failure?

Not only did Jesus call the Pharisees all these things; he also said that the Samaritans worship what they didn't know, the Jews worship what they knew. This word "know" meant the covenant w/ God. That is, the Samaritans were outside the Covenant. Jesus defended Orthodox Jewish doctrine. He also called Gentiles dogs.

Also, the LDS "Elders" came & told me about the "Great Apostasy." This is an attack on the Catholic Church.
