  • Wow you made this look easy, great job! I'm transitioning for 8 months so I have 7 inches of growth do you think I can get this result without the big chop?

  • beautiful beautifu! i subbed =)

  • great job, although I cant manipulate my hair that much or big frizz will happen but check out my video and see how close i am to ur methods. I absolutely love ur results

  • Your hair looks great!!!!!

  • What is the name of the blow dryer that you use?

  • this is a great series of videos!!! I've been transitioning for about 8 months and look forward to being totally natural. Thanks for the great advice.

  • your curls a perfect l wish my natural hair was like yours

  • Can I use MJ Buttercream or Meringue and get the same effect? Love your videos. CWB

  • @cwilsonnikea Hi! Thanks for watching my videos! The Butter Cream is not a gel, or custard, it's a moisturizer. The Meringue is a custard, meaning you add it to your hair to bring out your natural curl, wave, or coil pattern. I've tried the Curly Pudding, the Meringue and the Stretch Silkening Cream, they all work the same on my hair.

  • These are awesome ideas! I'm got a list of things to buy now: blow dryer diffuser tool and MJ's Curly Pudding. Your videos are very professional and easy to understand. Keep "giving back!" We greatly appreciate it:-)

  • best videos eveeerrr !! whats your hair type though ?

  • @gangstaLOVER Thanks! I have know idea. My hair is coiy, thick and very coarse.

  • did use anything beofre you put the concentrate and pudding like a relaxer /texurizer/or perm?

  • @MDefsquad9 Hi..no this is my natural hair. I don't have a semi-relaxer or texturizer in my hair.

  • @FreeWorshipFreeWors ok thats wonderful..thanks

  • @dri20051 Yes..there a two other videos to this series. Miss Jessi's Puddings brings out the natural curl, coil and wavy pattern. It does not create what a person does not already have.

  • hi harmony! i just would like to say i watch your vids all the time. i love what you do. i have a question for you though. i am a guy and i have naturally curly hair. it is course and dry, but im not sure if that is just from using the wrong product. i read about miss jessies and i saw it had mineral oils. is that not a bad thing? i just want to find the right solution so my hair can reach the full potential. mixed chicks is also on my radar for buying. thanks!

  • @MRoriginal483 I like Miss Jessie's Puddings...but I love and use the Kinky Curly Custard because it's cheaper, all natural, easier to apply, gives better curl definition and is a lot more moisturizing. I stopped using her moisturizers (I make and sell my own) because the mineral oil was breaking me out and they are just too expensive. I've never tried Mix Chicks...so I really can't give my opinion on that.

  • @FreeWorshipFreeWors no problem at all, lol sometimes i just watch your vids because i like you as a person lol. but alright because i was at the whole foods today, and they had kinky curly custard. so i would apply that just like gel? what is the point of the curly pudding and the buttercreme? is it necessary to have the styler (curly pudding)? i just dont want to pay for something thats not gonna work. because my hair isnt all that long either, it's like 2 or 2 1/2 inches. thank you so much!

  • @MRoriginal483 Thanks! I would advise watching my video titled "Applying Kinky Curly Custard". The Curly Pudding is a type of stying gel. This product should be applied to soaking wet hair. The butter cream is a moisturizer which can be used for styling and refreshing styles.

  • @MRoriginal483 P.S. Thanks for watching my videos! ;0)

  • Awesome!

    I'm subscribing!

  • excellent videos love!

    keep doing it natural

it's a movement! I'm trying to get all of my friends to go natural cuz I've had my afro for so long now, keep the vids and reviews coming!

  • I love your style.... but I am afraid to blow out my 2 strand twist for the fear of taking the curl pattern away... Will this happen?

  • @LDH46 this will not happen...just make sure you go to a salon that respects your kink and understand that you want your hair to curl or kink back up. However, blowouts and flat ironing should be done once in a blue moon. ;0)

  • hi, i have been transitioning for 4 months. i have this product, do u think this style would work for me even if im not totally natural yet. i like the look. i,ve been doing fkexi rods, which i like but i'd like to try another style.

  • @iamsuppawoman Hi...no...these curling gels and pudding only work on natural hair. It will do nothing for the relaxed part of your hair.

  • okay.. okay...

  • Thank you so much for this video, I've tbeen debating for some time now on going natural, and I think your video helped seal the deal. I am down to only relaxing my hair once a year, but I won't be even doing that anymore. Thanx again=) Peace Sister

  • you look has if you having fun!!

  • Its looka good but miss j's cp made y hair so greasy and weighed down How on earth are you able to skake your hair? lol

  • @itsmecassiej Sounds like this was too heavy for your hair type. You may want to try the stretch silkening creme or the quick curls.

  • @MsKinkydiva good response!

  • You can also just use metal clips so you dont have to use heat

  • Great! So happy to see someone of none mixed race do a vid for the product. Now, I'll try it.

  • I have been natural for about 18 months. I am growing my hair out from an almost bald style and my twa is driving me nuts!! Today I purchased the curly pudding as a last ditch effort to stay on my journey. Ur video is sooo encouraging. This is the hair and the freedom I want. Thank you for keeping me from reaching for the relaxer under the sink!! Keep the videos coming =)

  • Respond to Hi...thanks for stopping by and watching my video. Also Congrats on your 18 months. It's a journey...and sometimes you are gonna be frustrated as you are learning what best works for you hair...you are not gonna lean that in 1 month or 2...so get ready for the ups and downs...but it's all work it in the end.this video...

  • i love ur hair..i started my natural journey today..i didn know what to do with my hair..i got the shea moisture enhancing smoothie stuff..it worked a lil i guess my hair is now bout the length of urs in this video..i think im going to try the miss jessies now..thanks

  • Hey Harmony thanks for all the great videos. You have definitely encouraged me to continue on my journey. You said you like earrings and I saw these earrings that would look so cute on you. Its at JewelryByDevorah. com. Click on the Silk&Earrings link at the top. The earrings are the yellow/green/red round earrings in the first and second pictures. Let me know what you think. I think they are perfect for you :) Thanks for all the encouragement!! Keep it up! :)

  • @curlynaturalbeauty Thanks for the tip...I checked out the site! She has some lovely earrings!

  • i love how u keep sayin i gotta go haha nice tut :)

  • so pretty!! how long have u been natural??

  • @OhSoNatURL85 Thanks! I did my BC 9/23/06

  • I tried a sample yesterday and I have to say that I am hooked on this product. I am trying to to see if I want to stop being so cheap and just buy the full size product. But your results are lovely. Can't wait for my hair to grow longer like that. Beautiful results!!

  • This is my third time watching parts 1-3 and I simply love your results. I ordered the try pack with all the 2 oz samples and I just tried the Curly Pudding and I love the feel of my hair so far. It has not dried yet but I can't wait to take down these twist. The curly pudding gave me smooth ends and when twirling my ends they were so smooth. Since going natural the curly pudding is a staple product for me next to the Healthy Hair butter by Carols Daughter

    Thanks for the vid

  • its beautiful!! i BC'd a week ago and i can't wait for my hair to grow out so i can try this style because this is exactly what i want my hair to look like... im sooooo jealous of you right now lol i just my try miss jessies on my twa.. oh and what do you do for day to day maintenance?

  • @rayel16 Thanks girl! Check out my video titled Miss Jessie's Curly Meringue - Maintenance.

  • Love u, so so fab xx

  • what kind of dryer do you have and what do you shampoo and condition with?? btw loooove your hair..i have a similar texture.

  • @shinte360 Hi...Thanks! This is a Hot Tools dryer. I shampoo with Dr. Bronner's Peppermint Soap and condition with Oyin Honey Hemp Conditioner. ;0)

  • ur hair is pretty

  • So from day to day how do you maintain ur hair? I wet mine every other day, but i'd be interested in knowing a different way

  • @blugtar87 Hi I sent you an email! ;0)

  • @blugtar87 i thought i was the only one who wets there hair everyday!

  • LOOOVE it it''s gorgeous!

  • Thank you for your videos :-)

  • heyy , i have like semi-relaxed hair and i also wanna try and go curly for the summer and i've really am kinda torn between the curly pudding and curly meringue or even mixed chicks or kccc (kinky curly curling custard ) . i want like really defined curls i really dont mind a crunch and i wanna keep my length. what would you suggest ?

  • @yopoqueen Hi I like the KCC hands down! It's cheaper, easier to apply, gives better curl definition, styles last longer and it's ALL natural. If you chose to try it...contact me at the yahoo email address listed on my page. I sell it for $25.00

  • Hello...I am so thankful for your videos!!! I have been looking at your videos for the last two hours. My only regret is that I am just now finding them. I have been natural since August 06(for the 2nd time) and wish I had know about these products!!! I love my natural hair b I will definitely be trying Miss Jessie!!!

  • how long have you been natural?

  • @jennybooboo7 HI thanks for watching my videos. I've did my BC on 9/06. September will make 4 years.

  • Great results!!! I love it!!

  • i love this look

  • Your hair looks very cute!

  • Did you dilute the Khoret Amen leave in conditioner before spritzing to your hair the next day? Do you prefer that over just applying oil and fluffing your hair?

again, sorry for all the questions... lol

  • @enewt81 I always dilute my Khoret Amen leave-in. I only spritz my hair when there is no product in it but shea butter. If I have a pudding or custard in my hair...I just use the oil and shape my hair. ;0)

  • @FreeWorshipFreeWors - *sitting in the front of the class looking all studious* I GOT IT TEACH!!

  • another question - Have you ever diffused your hair after applying KCCC?

  • @enewt81 no...I just let it air dry...but you can diffuse if you choose to. Make sure not to use too much product.

  • @FreeWorshipFreeWors yeah i made that mistake before can you say CAPTAIN CRUNCH!! i redid it the next night and it came out much better. next time i use KCCC i am going to apply it the way you did in your video. with all my hair i just gotta make sure i get it all in that's all...

  • Harmony, do you prefer Miss Jessie's Curly Pudding or Curly Meringue? I noticed you didnt diffuse the Curly Meringue... Have you ever done the 2 strand twists with any of Miss Jessie's products?

Oh and the Miss Jessie's line is coming to target March 28th, yay! Can someone say shopping this Sunday? lol

sorry for all the questions and thanks in advance!!

    e

  • @enewt81 Hey...I definitely prefer the KCC over Miss Jessies'. 1. KCC is cheaper 2. It's ALL natural 3. It's easier to apply. ;0)

  • Hi, so how long did this style last for you? i can't get a few day hair yet? I've tried different things and still finding a solution. My last perm was 09/2008 and did the big chop 06/09. We have almost similiar hair. I have different textures in the middle.

  • @nwatkins27 -- Hi. This style last me for 2 weeks...I sleep with a satin scarf at night...watch my video...Refreshing My Style-Scrunching.

  • i brought the baby butter creme and twist my hair with it dry for like 5 minutes and i took it out and it was kinda crinkly so i bet if i do it while its wet it will be even better lol

  • you will have mad shrinkage if you twist wet. Twist your hair on friday and wear your twist sat and sun and your hair is set, soft and gorgeous for the entire week:) your hair will be very very moisturized.

  • THANKS! naturally most african american hair is kinky/wavy/curly..mine seems to kink up more than curl. I haven't had a perm in about 7 months..so the perm is about out, BUT my ends are relaxed. WHAT WOULD YOU RECCOMEND? mabey cut the relaxed ends out??-I TRIED the twist for the first time today, i like it, it just has a dry look. If i try this pudding would it help with sheen/softness?? i LOVE you hair thats the FULLNESS/curl im looking FOR!

  • Hi Moni...if your not getting a curl..then this products it not for your hair...this product does not create curls it enhances what you already have. You may not have a natural curl, coil or wave pattern. When you do your twist (on damp hair) add some oil and then some shea butter to your hair then twist. This will take care of dryness. You don't need to spend $38 on Miss Jessie's when you can just use shea butter

  • lol i like when u say ok?? lol but i have a perm so say if i wash my hair blow dry it can i use one of thoes products and twist my hair sit under the dryer then untwish my hair and it will come out curly ( well not like tight curls like urs of course) but u know???

  • Hi dyme: Thanks for watching my videos. According to Miss Jessie's the Curly Meringue is for both natural and relaxed hair. However it's best if you apply the product to wet hair, twist, then sit under a dryer.

  • lov yur natural curl!

  • What hair type do you have?A 3A? 4??

  • Hi Muchaba..not really sure what hair type I am. I never bothered to find out.

  • I love your hair...transitioning on month 4. How long has it been for you?

  • Thanks Shoyte001! I've been natural since 9/06. Good luck with your transition!. Don't give up! ;'0)

  • I'm impressed too! I can't get enough of your hair! I'm transitioning (8 1/2 months) and I'm ready to big chop now! Love your hair!

  • Hey Krim...thanks for stopping by! Stay tuned! I'm doing my sister's BC on Friday 1/29. I'll be posting a video. She has been transitioning since Sept. ;0)

  • I am started using the miss jessie's products this year and I maybe I just haven't gotten the hang of it yet or maybe it doesn't work for me. Anyway have you ever used Kinky Kurly?? if so which do you prefer.

I did get some great tips from your video. Thanks and keep 'em coming!

  • Hey chick...I love the KCC...I also sell it...If you don't have a natural curl or wave pattern then the Miss Jessie's Curly Pudding or any of her puddings will not work on your hair...that goes for the KCC too. Miss Jessie's moisturizer's such as the Babby Butter Cream and the Curly Butter Cream will work on any hair type.

  • how much do you sell the Kinky Kurly for ...do you ship it??

  • Hi Chick...I sent you an email.

  • look at the body guys! look at the body!...lol nice hair

  • I love your hair. I'm gonna do my BC next Thursday(been transitioning for 8 months). Is that the natural shape your hair makes or did you get it cut that way? Looks great.

  • Hi Floatie. Good for you! Best wishes with your BC. My hair grows in this shape...;0)

  • I really love your hair!!! I got my big chop 1 month ago and I don't know if this product will work on my hair, I just buy a curly cocktails and it have miss jessie's buttercream,do you know if it's the same??

  • Hi Back...thanks for watching my videos. If you have natural curls or a wave pattern then Miss Jessies Curly Pudding will work for you. All Curly Puddings and Gels bring out curls and waves that are ALREADY THERE. They do not create curls or waves. I've never heard of Curly Cocktails so I can't give any advice on that.

  • thank you! Yes I have natural curls so I think I'm gonna try this one too I really love the way your hair is with it.

  • You're welcome! BTW...Miss Jessie's Butter Creams are moisturizers...I love them...especially the Baby Butter Cream...The Pudding and the Meringue and the Stretch Silkening Cream are all for wet sets.

  • awesome fro!!!

  • I really love your video! I tried MJCP on my type 4a hair but it came out flaky. I may have used too much. Then I tried Miss Jessie's Curly Buttercream and it is excellent. I love it. Keep making your videos. You are an inspiration. Thanks

  • Hi Camblk...thanks for watching my videos. If Miss Jessie's Curly Pudding bought out your natural curl but you had flakes...that means you used too much product. Glad you like the Butter Cream...I love it too!

  • Love your hair! I just ordered some Miss Jessie's and can't wait to try it. I have been using KCCC but I'm not sure if its the right fit for me. Thanks!

  • Hi Free!!! I was soo inspired by your hair...I bought my own MJCP...I was more than dissapointed...my hair didn't respond well..it was hard and flaky and it took major conditioner to get it back to normal :0(... so my search for a curly hair product continues...

  • Hi Super..sorry to hear...this product only works on curly and wavey hair...if your hair does not have any of these natural patterns then it will not work on your hair.

  • Comment removed

  • If you haven't already, you should check out Ohm Body's sweet hair pudding.

I thought about trying MJCP but some of the ingredients in it have historically caused my scalp to break out. :( I've seen a lot of videos and when your hair likes it, it looks damn good.

    I really liked this video.

  • so u really think this is a good product?

  • Hi Cs...No it's not a GOOD product...it's an AWESOME product! ;0) Thanks for stopping by

  • thank you!

  • Love this video!

  • beautiful!!!

  • I love carolsdaughter products I am a huge fan of her products..also I have miss jessie's products but I m not using until the summer bc I am keeping my hair in product style so I m not wearing my hair out as much..GREAT video and your hair looks awesome!!

  • I love it! I am natural and I am really struggling to find out what works for me.

  • I keep seeing comments like...my hair is 3b or 4a etc...what does that mean? Is that a color or hair texture? This video is very helpful.

  • Hi Super thanks for stopping by it mean hair tyype or texutre...;0)

  • thank you for showing this product on your hair type -- which I believe is 4a. I forgot about this product, & watched other vblgs with hair type 3b & c, and they didn't convince me this would work for me. thanks again!

  • Thanks for showing each step. very much appreciated, you inspired me to buy a diffuser and dry my hair and it came out lovely.

  • suggestiong- do a short cut of the video and say what you do then don't show every moment; fade to next step

  • Thank you, Thank you so MUCH! I bought the Curly Pudding and was just using it as a product instead of it for the proper use--Thank God I found you!

  • Does it works as a gel too after it is dried?

I LOVE your hair by the way. You look like a Goddess!

  • Hi Lorean...sorry for the late reply...yes it give hair a soft to medium hold.

  • Thank you for the info.

  • Lovely... do you have highlights??? the color of your hair is beautiful

  • HI Jazzy, thanks for watching! I use Darly and Lovely Red Hot Rhythm.

  • Thanks for explaining and showing this so even I understand. I know nothing about doing my natural hair, and mine came out great. It took about 20 min. doing it while I watched you. You are a natural! Thank you so much.

  • it turned out so cute! I need to buy me some of this

  • have you ever used any of uncle funkys daughter curly magic

  • Hi Bahianut, thanks for watching. No I've never heard of it. Do they have a web site?

  • Thanks for this vid! I broke out my curly pudding (which i hadn't used in a year cuz i thought it didnt work) and had great results doing my hair just like u did yours. THANKS. Now to try the coconut cream relaxer...

  • omg ur hair is so lovely i wish my hair would curl like tht and hav tht much body im puerto-rican and native american and wen my hair is curly it jus falls flat keep makin ur vids luv em!

  • I love how this came out..I may have to revisit miss jessies products.

  • oh no i take that back they say it works the best of the best on 3C hair, and 4A hair types but I need more opinions. I REALLY want to finger-style my hair. By the way you're hair is verrrrrrrry pretty, I want mine to turn out like that, but I keep hearing it wont because my hair isnt of the right texture to do so.. I just want to know. If my hair can then AWESOME but if it cant then I guess I'll try to find a different method.

  • Heyyy...I wonder will this work on my 4b-4c hair type??? I have people telling me "No, you're hair texture won't work for this process" and stuff, but I need to know...I think they say its just for like 3c or 4a or 4b-ish hair...Well, when it gets wet it shows small coily-curls around my head, but my roots are extrememly thick with no curl pattern. The back of my head is like a curly afro. Could this procedure work for my hair, or all the sayings right?? Ps sorry i ask so much questions lol :)

  • sure why not just follow the tutorial with the right products and use flexi rods to make sure your hair dries in a bigger sized curl and when it's dry loosen the curls with your finger (and stretch the hair with a blow drier)

  • very nice

  • miss jessies contains mineral oil (paraffinum liquidum) beware

  • great info. is your hair texturised?

  • Her hair is 100% natural

  • looks great <3

  • Great Video, two questions. What is your hair type? (which doesn't matter, all natural hair is beautiful) I am just curious because I want to know would it work on my 4a/4b/3c hair..and 2. will the dryer technique work on KCCC?

  • Hey Shock, thanks for watching. I'm not sure what hair type I have. But I can tell you this...I love the KCC over Miss Jessies. It's easier to apply, your hair style last longer, it's shiner and it's cheaper.

  • This really looks like what I want once I am fully transitioned...I will be trying it on my mom who is aleady natural thanks for the vid!

  • I think I will try Miss Jessie's. I am soooo falling out of love with KCCC. Thank you for sharing.

  • Thats lovely! I never thought of doing it the night before...hmmm. I swear we are hair twins, thats one of the reasons I love watching your vids, your an inspiration. Thanks!

  • what does ms curly pudding feel like on the hair ? is it dry or sticky? are the curls soft and dry? just curious....

  • Hi Win thanks for watching. It feel like pudding, but when you apply it to soaking wet hair it glildes through. You jsut have to make sure that you work it in. It also dries clear.

  • wow i luv the way ur hair looks. i've always been natural but have never worn my hair just out n curly so i've been watching vids on utube & ur 3part vid helped alot in tryin 2 decide if i want 2 try miss jessies i think i'll give it a shot :)

  • Tasha thanks for watching. Go ahead and try it. Hey you never know!

  • Yaay! I learned something new! Thanks for the vid, your hair turned out great, cant wait to try that stretching technique!

  • Thanks for watching Sis.

  • omgosh you hair right hair looks soo SHINeY and healthy, gosh

  • Udo Miss Jessies products are the bomb! Thanks for watching!

  • love and proud thanks for watching!

  • This video was very informative!

  • Gorgeous Style,.... =)

  • Girlfriend, your hair came out beautiful. I love the curly pudding also.

  • Freckles, thanks for watching. Yeah the Curly Pdding is the bomb.

  • One more thing: Will you be trying to the Kinky Curling Curly Custard (KCCC) anytime soon? I'd love to see you compare/contrast that particular product as well.....

  • Girl I use that too. I'll be posting a video shorlty. ;0)

  • Also, I might have missed it but: Did you put anytype of leave in in your hair besides that spray bottle mix at the beinning? Just making sure....

Your vid is making me get that Curly Pudding "itch" again!!!! Which is good because I still have a LOT of it left!!!

  • Kookie I just sprayed my hair with Infusium 23. I didn't add anything else to my hair but the Curly Pudding.

  • Alright. Now, you make me want to try my curly pudding that's been collecting dust for the past couple years...lol!!!

AFter watching this vid, I think the key for me is that I MUST: 1) finger comb 2) diffuse and most definitely 3) use that concentrated nozzle for my roots. I think that's REALLy the key for me (#3)!!!

Thanks for taking the time to demonstrate this. P.S. I'd love to actually see how you diffused...our textures are kinda similar and wanted to see how YOU did it. Thanks!!!

  • Kookie thanks for watching! Girl go get that curly pudding. And yes if you follow those three steps you should be fine. I posted diffusing video, check it out.

  • Wow- gorgeous, your making me want to pull out my diffuser!

  • Yeah girl, I love my diffuser!

  • Love the end result! What is your hair type? I'm 4b &4c..wondering if i would get the same results...

  • Mrspurls thanks for watching. I'm not sure what hair type I have. I guess I should find out. ;0) Try it out, hey you never know!

  • AWESOME!!! @ last a REAL demo of their products! it came out so great. thanks for the vid.

  • i love ur hair

  • Brown thanks so much!

  • I hate to say this(cuz this is old-school slang)but you hair looks Supa Dupa Funky Fabulous. I love it. can't wait to try it out!

  • Lum, I'll take that! LOL Thanks for watching.
