  • dymn i connected my ceiling fan to the usb and its blowing hell out of my gf's skirt thanx for the video

  • I used a laptop fan let me tell you one interesting thing. I took the entire thing apart just for the fan

  • my fan has brown black and yellow wires =(

  • What about the PS/2 port? Can that be used too instead of a USB port?

  • Lol, teddy bears. Have you had any problems/minor failures in the time using it? Should I be worried about power matching and overheat if it's connected with USB?

  • this won't mess up the PS3 right?

  • do u still have that old computer?

  • @T3CHSP0T Yes, why?

  • you dont need to solider it you can just wrap electrical tape around i did that and it works fine thx

  • @AsceticFrost That works too man =)

  • could u use the fan inside and original xbox

  • Mine uses 12 volt. Can i still use it?

  • mine has red black and white and i tryed this and it didnt work please halp

  • awsome vid, I was wondering if you knew how hook up a wired mic to a ps3

  • can you use a cpu fan?

  • @frostedlambs yh if u take the fan of the heat sink cos the fan is on the heat sink and the heat sink is on the cpu so if u dont have another fan for the cpu your computer wont start so make sure u have a spare to put in ok :)

  • i have 2 extra fans + 3 more from my old pc so ima try this with 2 fans and ima tape them to the back of the ps3 lol bcz i dont want the yellow light of death

  • ok what i did i maid 2 kinds 1 i maid with just a old ps2 fan and went to the doller store and bought a usb cable the other from a xbox 360 charger cable for a headset and a ( SMALL) fan from a computer and i have them both hooked better results

  • wow ino their are probably alot of sam obrien but their are two of them in my school and judging by the xx in the name- it might be one of the ones ino, i might ask them but if it isnt then i'll look like a retard "sam, did u ask a guy on youtube to do a video on how to make a usb fan?" "no wtf"

  • it uses a little power...just the same as charging a controller.

  • 5 volts

  • if you have ever connected wires before you should know you dont need to solder them together for it to work most of the time. if you interlace the wires the right way then tape them with electrical tape

  • This might sound stupid, but do I solder the red wire to the other red wire? ir do I solder the red wire to the black wire?

  • red to red, black to black

  • This helped me a lot. I did the same thing except with 2 fans connected to the same 12 volt ac/dc adapter and it works great to cool my xbox

  • my dad bought once a cooler for his desktop but it was the wrong size so i made myself a usb cooler but it requires 12 volts and usb gives a maximum of 5 so it spins but doesnt really cool

  • good vid

do you know where i can get a old computer

i have new parts except a case and motherboad also prosser

  • Just buy the fan online, theyre not that expensive, just most people have atleast 1 old computer laying around so thats why I used that as an example.

  • @XxgodismyrockxX go to a computer repair place ask if they have a old fan lying around and ask to buy it from them for like 2 dollars or 3 dollars

  • @froghead57 get a new computer and wait...

  • okk thx

  • Sure thing!

  • @XxgodismyrockxX Black, green, white and yellow :D

  • if you use a cooler reduces overheating at 100%?

  • It reduces over heating, I don't know at what percentage though.

  • great thanks for this creative

  • umm.. im too scared to cause a short and mess up my 360 or something, it happened to my cellphone once with the stupid usb input wall charger.

  • @kavy760 it wont short

  • if you dont touch the - & + it wont short.

  • the colors in the usb are red white and blue lol

  • hey but what coulers in the usb do i connect

  • or u can go out ab bu 1 for 6 dollars

  • i had a broken fat ps2.took that apart, got the fan, took a ipod cable(dont have an ipod anymore)i just twisted them together(black and red sepratly)plugged em in to my 360 and it works great!!

  • POPCORN LOL

  • hoi, i got a question. is there any way i could run 2 fans of 1 usb?

  • You would need a USB hub to do that.

  • thx i hope it works and hope that i dont screw this up...

but my dads old PC cooler thingy sound was so loud would it be the same sound for my 360 then?

  • Hi I'm going to show you how to make a USB fan! Just kidding, I'm going to recall a past experience to the best of my knowledge, and show you an already made example. If anything I said is wrong, let me know, because I don't really remember, and uh, yeah. Glad I could be of assistance!

  • Way to take my words out of context.

  • Way to say that your'e going to do something, and half ass it.

  • I didn't have another fan to make another one. This was clear enough to teach people, if you don't like it, keep it to yourself.

  • wtfftmfw This is a good tut he is pretty clear about how to make it.

  • do 3 pin fans work to

  • To my knowledge it should work fine.

  • dos that work for pc???

  • Yes, it will work with anything that has a USB out

  • What is the current rating on USB ports? You don't want to overload them with a fan that draws too much power

  • your pc will tell u if u overload it and it will shut off the port until u reset it ..

  • I got my USB cord from an old PSP

  • I'm not sure. Maybe try another USB wire? There should be copper wire surrounding the bundle of the other wires inside. It couldn't work with just copper wire inside so I'm not sure what you used.

  • Dude I cut open my usb cord and all that was in there was copper wire..why....

  • I'm not sure, where did you get the usb wire from?

  • thanks man, I subscribed to you..nice vid.

  • My dad think it will blow up my 360 and im like no it wont...did it blow up anything of urs or fri anthing

  • No, it hasn't done anything to anything I've used it with. There are lots of people who have used this method, but if you are still unsure, try plugging it into an old computer first or something else that can power a usb.

  • you have a lot of packaging peanuts lol

  • Yes, I sure do!

  • infact, you just have alot of stuff

thanks AGAIN for the shoutout xD

  • Yep, that's the garage sale pile...

  • Ohh, Woops lol

I think i asked this but didnt know if you answeredm what GB is your ipod touch??

  • 8gig iTouch

  • Im Glad I Requested this!!

yeah that is how you say it! lol
