I've been a fan of Keith's since his BG days, and you're mother is a true veteran and I adore her and your grand dad George Morgan. I've been a true lover of the music for so long. • I don't know what you guys are hearing, but that isn't anything like Keith W.He sounds like he should be playing in a bar band or something! If he wants to really see if his voice is worth making it,just go downtown Nashville,TN and play at the Buck Wild Saloon and they'll for damn sure let you know if you have what it takes to be in the music business!!!He ain't it!!!

  • well done but your old man still does the best version in the world.

  • He sounds alot like his Dad

  • Horrible!!!!

  • does he got a dip in? fuckin awesome

  • This was such a great cover. I think his dad would be so proud. People shouldn't try to compare them.

  • Nice to see the legacy lives. Thanks for this, Jesse...a lot of people loved your dad's music. A lot of us still do. :)

  • This page made it to my facebook page. Gonna play it forward.

  • He is doing a beautiful job! Comparing him to his father is just unfair..those are big shoes to fill...

  • Man you are a great performer and glad to see you are doing it country.

  • at least you dont use auto tuner like chris young

  • Great job! One of my most favortied songs ever. Keith Whitley is probably one of the best country music singers from Kentucky. God bless you Jesse.

  • Good job. Your dad was the best. Unbelievable voice. He left this world way too early. I recently bought another greatest hits cd of his, and found a new favorite on it, Ten Feet Away. You ever do that one?

  • u suck

  • Yeah! Everybody shut the F**K up! I've been a fan of Keith Whitley long before ya'll were pottie trained. I even named my daughter after him, Jannea Whitley Gribble. She'll be 22 next month. It doesn't matter how the man left this earth..... he left a LEGACY and a tough one for this young man to fill his shoes. He's doing the best he possibly can! With those genes, he's an excellent singer. Leave the boy alone! He's had a hard enough life, for cheese -n- rice!

  • So beautiful.. Love the Sox hat :)

  • Absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much.

  • Absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much.

  • Everytime I hear this song I cry....you sound as great as your dad. Your mom is amazing as well....I am blessed to have met them both when I still lived at home in Nashville, with my father who was in the music industry as well. ( I even went to SBA like your mom =) )

  • Keep up the tunes Jesse, your Dad was a legend in his time. Please keep his music flowing through you. Hey Jesse, Don't close your eyes.

  • It's obvious to me, Keith's legend lives on with this talented young man! Stay with it Jesse! You got a fan back home in Ky!

  • seems he has his dad's smile and he sounds great

  • Helluva good job Jesse! Keep bringing Keith's music back, you have got what it takes there man.

  • I will never forget this song or the man who sung it. I dont know how you can sing it without crying... Sure we are grown men but damn what a song/feeling/thought...

  • i love your mom and your dads music i hear both of them in your voice your daddy could sing a ballad like no otherand youve been given a special gift jessie, ive written several songs thru the yrs and i wish i had 1/2 the talent that you have, your mom has the voice of an angel hope to hear more of you in the future!! i jus got one thing to say!! keep on sangin jessie, keep on sangin!!

  • Jesse you are awsome. What a cool tribute to your dad!!!

  • i love his voice

  • What are you doing for the rest of your life?? LOL Awesome

  • i miss ur dads voice,rip keith

  • every1 compare him to his dad, jesse is himself !!!! has his own voice . well done jesse brill voice

  • Jesse you are so very talented, keep doing what you love!

  • a couple of audio/professional sonds, a couple of voice overs,, he sure has his dads vocal cords waiting to be mended

  • I don't see how that anyone could think he would be as good as his dad. His dad was a seasoned artist and his son is not. My mom saw him with ricky s and he was great then i was about 10 i'm 50 now. My advice to this young man is follow your hearts path not your dads and i think he will be just as good as his dad great video thanks for posting it. .

  • You've got a lot of work to do.

  • awesome!!

  • you'll get there. someday you'll be just like him. I'm sure he's proud of you. Your voice is amazing Kesse. Keep singing and don't ever let anyone put out the fire of your desire to sing.

  • When he hit the chorus, I got major goosebumps. Awesome Man

  • Awesome!! - Making Daddy Proud!

  • He sounds like bad Kareoke.......

  • Jesse this is the first time i heard ya and your good and have your dad's voice why havnt ya made the country hits you have it get to moving use what ur dad gave ya

  • I have to say Jesse and his father do sound a lot alike. Keep it up, becase you have a beautiful voice. Your dad would be proud!

  • No he's not his dad...don't think he's trying to be. He's a good singer, and just paying tribute to his amazing father. Good Job Jesse!

  • i like his tats

  • Dude, I am going to guess your daddy is proud.

    That was awesome.

  • I loved, I still love Keith, and I do believe he is just as good as his dad.. might not fill his dad's shoes but he is almost there... Keep up the good work Jesse, You are AWESOME !!

  • Amazing, didn't know you were singing, but would love to hear more from you. You have a great voice, it gives me goosebumps!! Don't listen to the negativity some morons post on here.

  • WOW.....i didnt know you were singing. your dad would be very proud

  • I'm glad to get to hear you sing Jesse. Your dad would be proud to know you're keeping it going. Hope to hear more soon. Take care.

  • Fuck the haters keep singin Bud!

  • Welcome to the wonderful life of no record deals. enjoy the bar scene the rest of your life.

  • I like your HAT! How did you become a Boston Fan?

  • He did a great job! I am glad you did it Jesse. You dad is smiling and saying" Thats My Boy" he's proud of you and the respect of his song warms his soul. Good job Bro!

  • No disrespect to Keith , but this kid needs go back to school because he sure can,t sing or play.Keith was a real player, a real musician. He held his own with Ricky, Ralph and J.D.

Keith paid his dues playing bluegrass fest after bluegrass fest. I,m sure mom and the rest of Jesse,s family is aware of his lack of talent, but no body wants to hurt his feelings.

  • Not to stick up for Jesse, but for the person saying he is no Keith Whitley, well maybe not. But, there is no auto tune being used to make him sound good. Which he does. For Crying out loud he was very young when his dad passed away. I actually think he has the potential to be better than his father. Keep up the great work Jesse and don't let anyone get you down!

  • I have to tell you that i am 29 years old born and raised in Iowa i grew up listening to both your mom and your dad . I love their music very much . I just want you to know that you gained another fan and that i know that your dad is in heaven smiling down you and very proud of you

  • Your daddy would be sooooooo proud of you. You almost sound like him. His voice seemed to be a bit deeper. I really enjoyed this. Brought back old memories.

  • Yes, there will never be another Keith Whitley. But what more could a father want than for his son to remember him in someway after he's gone. I think it's awesome!!! It's like we still have something of Keith Whitley....

  • jesse you sound just like your dad he his so proud of you to keep his music going keep it up

  • Beautiful. I'm looking forward to new releases, Jesse.

  • Hell yeah man. Great job!

  • @62BOWTIE dude his name is Keith Whitley retard!!! Thats like saying there will only be one Hank Williams. Give the guy a freaking chance.

  • @diggler286 ok then hows this then...he sounds nothing like his father...KEITH WHITLEY! so now there will only be one KEITH whitley, not Jesse keith whitley and he shouldn't get a chance to ruin his dads name or music

  • Your good man just need to lose the boston hat!!!!

  • And to Jesse, I hope you don't listen to the few neg responses on this page. I would bet they are not singers and from what I saw they are not the kind of fans you'r dad would have wanted. I watched performances by your father, at a young age, on you tube. He had a higher voice range at that age. After years of singing and performing the voice gets stronger and richer. I know you will hit big...Just keep the music going. God Bless.

  • @GregFox38501 keith was and still is the greatest country singer ever. keep it up jesse

  • @ttimbot19usa Right on. Kieth Whitley had a pure country amazing voice. He had his own style and was the best. His son does a great job on this song. It's live. He is in key he has a great voice in his own right. People who leave neg comments are probably dumb ass who don't even sing. I chalenge any of them to leave a video responce and sing it better. Until then, they should go to another site. That's the nicest thing I can say for them. Always remember KW awsome voice. God bless.

  • @GregFox38501 well said i dont think he sounds like his dad he brings a new version 2 great songs his dad would b very proud of him keep the songs coming id love 2 buy a cd

  • Hey! For the few neg comments I have a response... first, can you do it better? If you can't then shut up. This young man is paying tribute to his father. If you have a problem with that then go to another page please.

  • @GregFox38501 AMEN TO THAT

  • @geneoxley thanks. None of the one's leaving neg comments are able to sing or carry a tune. I'd bet on that.

  • Very nice!

  • jesse you just sound like your dad he was a great singinger and so are you and your mom is a great singinger

  • jesse do you have any cds out your a vary good singer

  • @annie36392 Jesse's EP is available for purchase on his website (or itunes) and it includes a cut of Brantley Gilbert's Saving Amy which is being released as a single this Friday. (so make sure you call your radio stations and request it!)

  • I think he has made his daddy very proud with his songs. He's done an absolutely beautiful job with some absolutely beautiful songs. Love this so much. Very moving.

  • I am so glad Keith lives on in his son. People should not expect him to BE his father, he is his own person after all. He is a wonderful singer in his own right!

  • Very good!!! and pretty hot too!

  • you can here Keith in his voice

  • show u're eyes, Jesse. he ain't bad, but he needs a perm.

  • he is a great singer but even a better man and he will be just like his dad just takes time

  • I love this he did a great job:)

  • He's okay can keep the tune, but he can't hold a candle to his father.

  • I have been a big fan of Keith Whitley all my life. I love this,

  • rip keith..you are missed

  • Wow he's all grown up. I don't know why but I just keep picturing him as a little boy. He has a good voice - how could he not - coming from both parents. Love it.

  • @dawnjakeleah I have been a fan of Keith Whitley since a long time the first time I saw him was in Kentuckey @ the Blue Grass Festable with Ricky Skaggs and the Whites! It was about the time Alabama was winning all the awards @ CMA that is why to this day I will not listen to any cut of Alabama

  • He did such a wonderful job singing that song, It had to have been hard on him, knowing he was singing one of his dad's songs. There both wonderful singers.. Good Job Jesse don't stop what you are good at...

  • @bjpiii2 Being around Sammy for a long time wore off for sure

  • Lynn Anderson good singer but not a Legend.

  • @Bassom58 I and probably 90% of country fans beg to differ. Perhaps you say that because she's one of the few country female legends who can STILL sing. Look at her list of accomplishments on her wikipedia page or website. You're obviously very uninformed. Although I like her, I'm not necessarily a huge fan, but I do give credit where it's due. She was certainly a much bigger and more accomplished star than Lorrie Morgan ever was (all due respect to Lorrie and Jesse).

  • @Bassom58 you must be crazy dude, if you say lynn anderson is not a legend. you're def in the minority with that opinion. i'd say lorrie morgan may be a legend many years down the road but she's far from that status now, and even that's doubtful ..only because they've churned out so many new ones over the years with a short career life.. not like it was in the 60s & 70s. back then, if you made it big..you could sustain a long career with your accomplishments.

  • Absolutely amazing!!!!

  • Jesse you are a very good singer. Keep on truckin son. I enjoyed hearing your dads songs again. Godbless you.

  • I was at Belmont University in Nashville around the time this song came out...and this song meant so much to me, and still does. Your mom and dad are legends....God bless you Jesse.....keep singing"......

  • @bbkona04 Always loved this song. However, Lorrie Morgan is hardly a "legend". That word is so overused. True female legends of country music are Loretta Lynn, Tammy Wynette, Lynn Anderson, Dolly Parton .... women who paved the way for people like Lorrie Morgan. They, my friend, are the "Legends" ... not an artist whose heyday was in the late '80s/early '90s. Just keepin it real!

  • ......stunning. Absolutely stunning

  • i'm sure you dad is so proud of you

  • your Dad would be very proud of you

  • My mom made sure I grew up on all the good music and one of those artists was your dad. My friends look at me like I'm crazy cause I'm 17 but I'd much rather listen to me some Hank or Mr. Whitley instead of todays hip hop and taylor swift mess. But, I'm glad to know that we have the new Mr. Whitley to sing for us. You sound just like him :)

  • Great job Jesse. Your Dad is looking down on you and smiling from ear to ear. I bet he couldn't be any prouder than to know you are carrying on the family tradition of country music. You are destined to be great with parents like Keith Whitley and Lorrie Morgan! Keep up the great singing, but don't forget to be yourself and become your own music legend! God Bless!

  • Jesse... I want you to know that your voice is just as beautiful as your dads. Being only 26 my dad brought me up on your dads music and he is truely one of kind. Keep singing!!!!! You gave me chill bumps. Holly Neal

  • Jesse's Cousin is my aunt. Just thought I should brag a little. I've heard alot about Jesse and his dad from years ago.

  • Your so Amazing! Seen you last night at the Kentucky State Fair! What a GREAT show! I am definatly a FAN! Your voice is a wonderful blend of both your mom and dad! I am positive your dad is smiling down on you! Best wishes!!!

  • Oh honey you sound so good! Your Dad would be so proud!! I had tickets to see your Dad in Paducah KY the weekend after he passed and T. Graham took his place . It was the second time I was going to see your Dad. Our seats were the table right in front of the mike.It was such a sad concert and T did a great job and talked about your Dad. You keep singing honey and be true to your own style and pay tribute to your Dad.

  • Jesse Keith you do your dad justice and I am very sure he is smilling down on you from heaven you are great and you sound just like your daddy keep up the good work I have every album your dad ever did and i loved his voice no one is as good as your dad as far as I am concerened you are greattttttttttt

  • Just because this kid doesn't sound just like his dad, those of you who want to use it as a reason to run your mouths and critise him then you are pretty damn sorry. Kid you sound fine keep it up.

  • great job! your dad would be so proud!

  • WOW!!!
