  • try Playing the Piano?FF V Ran with this idea.

  • I'm more concerned about that old man walking frantically in the Inn. He's even walking and stepping on the beds while there's a person in it. What?! I don't disturb you for sleeping, do I?

  • oh come on there just Knitting

  • I love it when potions have potions in them. You pretty much get endless potions :).

  • i like the ds version. it is a gigantic improvement.

  • Huh, interesting. I guess only in the "remake" on the DS, they actually made Refia into a female. Heck, even if it called Refia a girl in this original game, she'd probably use the same sprites anyway.

  • You are à SUPER NERD. Btw Big diffrence on the iphone version.

  • They're actually 14 you know.

  • To keep the name similar, I called "refia" Refael. (Sorta between raphael and--whatever, you get it) ^_^

  • Is this the American FF3 for the SNES?

  • @Rushthatspeaks Nope, Japan exclusive famicom game.

  • Guys with girls names? *thinks to 13...*

    lol Snow and Hope!

  • lol Rufio

  • omg as soon as i seen the people in the beds i was mortified!

  • Rufio! Rufio!

    RU-FI-OOOOOOOHHHHH!~

  • i thought it was sasune

  • at least the DS version has some character development. kids also have seperate backstories and only Luneth and Arc were adopted by the Ur villagers.

also. Arc is a caring soul. and no matter what you change Luneth's name to, he still thinks it starts with an "L". Arc-"L-Goku!"

  • there all boys i named my charecters Dorthy and Sondy

  • Lol. "There are potions in this potion!"

  • Isn't it obvious what they're doing in the beds?

    ...

    They're knitting. Duh.

    lol

  • Anyone realize that Cid (airship guy) also ran the airship in final fantasy II? I think square got a bit lazy there.

  • @Nonamer98 in the remake of FFI. they also mention him. whenever there's an airship, cid isn't too far away.

  • Sending in boys to do a man's job. I thought Onion Knight was 10.

  • Hmmmm.......... I wonder what they were doing in those beds? (wink wink)

  • @ninjasaursrock They were obviously playing patty cake!

  • this poition has some poitions in it XD

  • "You're doooomed! The town has a death curse!"

  • "Yay! He hit a cat! He hit a cat! Yay!"

  • "This potion has actually has some potions in it" lmao :P

  • of course its appropriate! since when is jogging in your dreams innappropriate?!

  • woo cool but i have the game 2 BUT! em.... its not in english or in other language

    its weird someone help

  • THEY WERE MASTER- yeah its not appropriate...

  • GHOST BUSTERS!!!

  • lol a town full of Ghosts...Who you gonna call?

  • In the ds version it is djinn, another spelling of genie.

  • It honestly looks like the kids in the bed are clapping. I'm more concerned about the old man i mean he's jumping all over the room and crap.

  • Rofl @ the Piano. xD

  • Why does the magic shop symbol look Jewish?

  • It's weird-Ur, Canaan and the Jewish Star on all the shrines...

  • lol i know but dont tell me this is the first tiem you saw the star thingy associated with magic?

  • Comment removed

  • this potion has some potions in it? you seem a bit tounge tied hcbailly

  • lol all guys and the white mage looks like a girl

  • RUFIO FTW!!!

  • good vids!

  • No doubt!

  • Then why, SuperSirPrize, is it the most popular flavor if it is so boring?

  • because too many people can't decide on a good ice cream flavor, so they just choose Vanilla since it's the only one they can remember

  • lol i have a 16 year old friend whose dad is 66

  • Vanilla is one of the most robust and intense flavors nature has to offer. For the love of God STOP slandering it by using it as a synonym for "plain" or "boring".

  • Comment removed

  • @aarondirebear That was a pretty vanilla example of sarcasm...

  • @aarondirebear i think he means vanilla as the most common type of ice cream flavours

  • @aarondirebear vanilla is too darn expensive! imitation vanilla is plain. lol

  • @aarondirebear LMAO good one! i never thought about it that way! blame it on vanilla icecream for being so boring and mostly flavorless ;)

  • @aarondirebear i know right? too bad baskin robins took away french vanilla....

  • I love your laugh.

  • sweet! a potion with more potions in it!

  • Did you just say "This potion actually has some potions in it"? LOL

  • Yes, the result of not scripting my episodes.

  • You're alright because that was pretty funny. I just wish you didn't say that when I was trying to drink my ice tea.

You seem like the kind of guy I'd be friends with.

  • @HCBailly in the DS version, they are teen agers but in dissidida he looks about 12 i'd say. since Vaan does not look 17

  • @HCBailly

    Posception: Potion in a Potion

  • I believe the manual said they were 10 in the Ds version of Final Fantasy III

  • Accidentally clicked 1 star :( I meant to do 5...

  • nice walkthrough:) glad to have the opportunity at least to witness the original FFIII.. Glad they applied the original music of village of Ur to the DS version.. This theme is one of my favorite from FF3

  • you said in this potion there are some potions did you mean well

  • That "four boys" bit is presumptuous translation. The original Japanese is "yonin no hahaoya gawari datta ni-na" - as literally as I can make it, "Nina, who took the place of the four (people)'s mother(s)".

Japanese is a genderless language, and that does sometimes make these things ambiguous, but you just need a smidgen of creativity (like "Nina, adoptive mother to the four"), and at no point in the game so far (I'm up to the final dungeon) is the sex of any of the kids mentioned.

  • wow. how that could be neg modded i dont understand. helpful post +1.

but does it specify their genders in the ds version?

  • Rufio lmao do I smell an oblivion reference albeit very obscure.

  • Lol. He did but I don't think he meant to.

  • Nope Hook reference :P

  • RUFIO! RUFIO! Such a great movie... interesting twist on Peter Pan. H.C. obviously watches a lot of movies. I've recognized many of his references. Funny how he noticed the relative length of KotR in FFVII to "Knights of the Round Table" from Monty Pithon.

  • I love how you say "MONSTERS!"

  • I choose to believe they are about 14-15 or so.

  • XD what is the booing and cheering? it sounds like retards booing and cheering maybe drunkards

  • 8 bit is very limited.

  • yea i know i was just making a stupid joke to it and teh retards was kinda mean

  • 2 beds, 3 guys and a girl.... XD

  • HCBailly you are realy funny, and you got one of the best walkthroughs on youtube... keep it up.

  • 5:36 "and this potion actually has some potions in it."

    xD

  • Hahaha, I remember the well from FF1.

  • This is completely different from the DS version lol. There ARE phoenix downs in it and you can't revive characters in the water. The old man gives you one for using a potion on him lol

  • The revive water is in the DS version as well.

  • they made her a girl because it would seem *insert yuffie yelling sexiest at cait sith*

  • crickey lass shut yer boot

  • *punches roxas* I AIN'T NO GIRL

  • =\ that didint hurt

  • anyone with FF3 ds wanna help me get onion knight FC is 511277304528

  • 150 * 8 = 1202.

Ahh, limitations of floating point numbers.

  • This guy is a teacher, comediant and very good narrator...! Greetings from Brazil

    Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah

  • if the mages arent attacking cant you like use shields on them? so theyre defense would be greater?

  • monster battles in a town! heresy!

    LOL

  • why is it always the person named cid have a relation to airships

  • I had no idea about the piano. I gotta try it sometime.

  • well in ff6 it's setzer who has the relation with the airship

  • I just started playing this game. It's fun!

Anyone else think the Elder's speech was too short?

  • Thank god that the DS version has a girl in it, but actually you have to go to the second town to get it.

  • What are those people doing in those beds? :O! Gasp....I don't wanna know. XD

  • What's awesome is that the DS version of FFIV also gives that discount for buying in bulk.

  • lol I see the diffence bettween the D.S and this

  • Don't be worried about Refio. Since the graphics aren't as developed yet, we can't properly have a male protagonist who looks like a girl, so having a male protagonist who is named like a girl is the next best thing.

  • Man! I hate the japanese in story telling... ALL THE DAMN CHARACTERS ARE YOUNG!!!!! Anyone with facial hair? 30's+ Anybody who is young looking and kick ass? Teenagers... Yeah... It's stupid..

  • lol! Old pedo...

  • is that what this game is about? kicking 6 year olds out of the house?

  • LOL@Rufio! The bulk discount is an awesome feature.

  • unlike in ff1, mages do horrible damage in this game, that much I know from the DS version

  • "This potion actually has some potions in it"

    0_0

  • I think the tune played on the piano is random between those two... at least, it seems that way in the DS version, where I get the failure tune more than 9/10 of the time.

Capacity is also interesting - that was swapped out in the DS version for lowered stats for X battles each time you swap classes, and the X's add up, so switching to Monk for one battle and back afterwards gives lower stats for some time (apparently not affecting Vitality for levelups, though, that's good).

  • if i remember correctly, The Black mage can do decent amounts of damage with a Bow

  • You know how you were talking about 6 year old heroes, right? Well it got me thinking about 6 year old ninjas? 6 year old sages? Why does it also make me think about evil children (like the movie, chuckie)? And also do echo herbs sell more than potion?

  • it's more of, do echo herbs sell more than the amount potions cost, as then there would be a highly abusable glitch for gaining "infinite" money. but i don't think they do sell more...also, you get a discount for buying in bulk so it may still be possible to make small amounts of money.

  • did there really need to be all those potions? Ha ha ha

  • Rufio would have been appropriate considering these are 4 lost boys

  • funny, cuz i was expecting the same thing too, a clip from hook, as that was the first thing to pop to mind when he said rufio lol, and i also noticed the misspoken "potion in a potion" :) i think i need to wait several days before checking for uploaded videos as i hate waiting for the next one :(

  • You are getting better and better at these LP's. Each one you do is more streamlined. Keep up the good work!

  • after you said Rufio i was expecting a clip from hook... i was disappointed by its lacking

  • Hah, I just realized the noise when you find a hidden item kind of sounds like *yoink*

Unlike other times, this Cid *starts* the game off dead, heh.

Early Airship access is always nice (limited though it is.

  • The numbers above the enemies' heads are the numbers in which your characters target them, so your first character would be #1 if he were to target an enemy, the second would be #2, and so on. If you were to target all enemies with a spell, say with the third character, then the #3 would appear before every enemies' heads. It's basically there so you don't forget who you're targeting in battle and with what character you targeted with.

  • what are those numbers above the enimes head when you choesing your attack

  • It shows who's turn it is. If it goes 1234, then it's the 4th characters turn.

  • I think you forgot to talk to the bartender if you're worried about it. :)

  • I don't think you can talk to him across the counter.

  • Ahh kay. Didn't know. Never really played this game too much. It's fun so far.

  • funny bit with the dancer...lol...

  • There's some pretty wicked animations for some of the black magic spells that I'm going to show off later. I think you'll like them.

  • 5:49 Nice quote from Final Fantasy 1

  • You should have put in a Girl in Gold Boots clip near the end there: "I wish I had my pretty mind back!"

  • Then why are you watching my videos?

I like it myself. I never run out of magic in this game, even casting spells every round and no running. The encounter rate is so much better than FF2. Plus, the dungeons are relatively short and usually straight-forward.

  • I like your videos, i just dont really like this game. Thanks to you, I am restarting my FFIII DS game.

  • There are POTIONS in the Potion!! Oh my God!!!

  • I was wondering if anyone would catch that. Obviously, I meant there are potions in the "well", but I slipped up. This is what happens when I don't script an episode.

  • Heh, yeah...I had to relisten to it again just to be sure that's what I heard.

Also, thanks for calling me out on my Refia bit...*goes to sit in a corner* ._.

  • I heard it aswell

  • Dang, been waiting for a day, thought it wasn't out. Lol at raiding treasure

  • AWESOME!!

  • Stayed up all night just for this :S.

  • And then he was late with it :P
