I'm more concerned about that old man walking frantically in the Inn. He's even walking and stepping on the beds while there's a person in it. What?! I don't disturb you for sleeping, do I?
Huh, interesting. I guess only in the "remake" on the DS, they actually made Refia into a female. Heck, even if it called Refia a girl in this original game, she'd probably use the same sprites anyway.
Missingo, if you want to attack a religion, don't. If your just curios, it might have to do with the producers of the game... no offence, it's common to run into those who offend religions. just being careful.
Vanilla is one of the most robust and intense flavors nature has to offer. For the love of God STOP slandering it by using it as a synonym for "plain" or "boring".
nice walkthrough:) glad to have the opportunity at least to witness the original FFIII.. Glad they applied the original music of village of Ur to the DS version.. This theme is one of my favorite from FF3
That "four boys" bit is presumptuous translation. The original Japanese is "yonin no hahaoya gawari datta ni-na" - as literally as I can make it, "Nina, who took the place of the four (people)'s mother(s)".
Japanese is a genderless language, and that does sometimes make these things ambiguous, but you just need a smidgen of creativity (like "Nina, adoptive mother to the four"), and at no point in the game so far (I'm up to the final dungeon) is the sex of any of the kids mentioned.
RUFIO! RUFIO! Such a great movie... interesting twist on Peter Pan. H.C. obviously watches a lot of movies. I've recognized many of his references. Funny how he noticed the relative length of KotR in FFVII to "Knights of the Round Table" from Monty Pithon.
This is completely different from the DS version lol. There ARE phoenix downs in it and you can't revive characters in the water. The old man gives you one for using a potion on him lol
Don't be worried about Refio. Since the graphics aren't as developed yet, we can't properly have a male protagonist who looks like a girl, so having a male protagonist who is named like a girl is the next best thing.
Man! I hate the japanese in story telling... ALL THE DAMN CHARACTERS ARE YOUNG!!!!! Anyone with facial hair? 30's+ Anybody who is young looking and kick ass? Teenagers... Yeah... It's stupid..
I think the tune played on the piano is random between those two... at least, it seems that way in the DS version, where I get the failure tune more than 9/10 of the time.
Capacity is also interesting - that was swapped out in the DS version for lowered stats for X battles each time you swap classes, and the X's add up, so switching to Monk for one battle and back afterwards gives lower stats for some time (apparently not affecting Vitality for levelups, though, that's good).
You know how you were talking about 6 year old heroes, right? Well it got me thinking about 6 year old ninjas? 6 year old sages? Why does it also make me think about evil children (like the movie, chuckie)? And also do echo herbs sell more than potion?
it's more of, do echo herbs sell more than the amount potions cost, as then there would be a highly abusable glitch for gaining "infinite" money. but i don't think they do sell more...also, you get a discount for buying in bulk so it may still be possible to make small amounts of money.
funny, cuz i was expecting the same thing too, a clip from hook, as that was the first thing to pop to mind when he said rufio lol, and i also noticed the misspoken "potion in a potion" :) i think i need to wait several days before checking for uploaded videos as i hate waiting for the next one :(
The numbers above the enemies' heads are the numbers in which your characters target them, so your first character would be #1 if he were to target an enemy, the second would be #2, and so on. If you were to target all enemies with a spell, say with the third character, then the #3 would appear before every enemies' heads. It's basically there so you don't forget who you're targeting in battle and with what character you targeted with.
I like it myself. I never run out of magic in this game, even casting spells every round and no running. The encounter rate is so much better than FF2. Plus, the dungeons are relatively short and usually straight-forward.
I was wondering if anyone would catch that. Obviously, I meant there are potions in the "well", but I slipped up. This is what happens when I don't script an episode.

at least the DS version has some character development. kids also have seperate backstories and only Luneth and Arc were adopted by the Ur villagers.
also. Arc is a caring soul. and no matter what you change Luneth's name to, he still thinks it starts with an "L". Arc-"L-Goku!"
