  • Cant be kiwis..... Otherwise it'd be "Begger"

  • It was filmed north of Auckland. All of the actors are Kiwis except for the Framer, he was an Aussie actor. It was a NZ production made for the NZ market and then did screen in Australia for a while before they did their own version. I play the Farmers wife. My accent is definitely not an Aussie one, but the ad could have come from either country, we're pretty close, so lets all stop fighting boys, ;)

  • It IS a KIWI ad, hercules IS a KIWI dog(now deceased RIP), landscape IS NZ, it IS a KIWI director, made for Toyota NZ, FIRST aired in oz 1 week AFTER its FIRST appearance on NZ TV, My STEP-FATHER works for Toyota NZ, he saw this ad BEFORE 90% of Toyota NZ did, he showed it to me on a CD-R 1 month BEFORE it was aired in NZ. And I welcome any Aussie that wishes to challenge this, so I can shatter his hillbilly logic like the frail shred of tissue like the mind that conjured it!!!!

  • Kiwis might have made it, but Australians fixed it and made it funny. We re-edited it so the "bugger me" part was at the end.

  • lolz people getting protective over who "owns" a Toyota commercial - Kiwis and Aussies should be mates we died side by side in WW1 together!

  • Lol poor cow

  • The dog "Bugger" :-)

  • Bugger

  • loved the dog's part XD

  • for the debate about where this ad is from its directed by Tony Williams a kiwi in NZ for NZ tv which then went over to Australia. Just google it and see for yourselves.

  • i guess the other lingo us kiwis use could be used ....we have filthy mouths

  • As a New Zealander I could say that we use far worse language in our day to day speech!

  • lol theres lots of green grass guys... obviously a NZ ad :P

  • oh, and you dont say Bugger, You say MATE

  • and its from nz cuz we have grass and you Australians arent good enough to make ads like these

  • lololololol BUGGER ME MON ;P

  • thumbs up if you typed in "bugger" for some reason like me lol

  • This is bloody nice. what is this about? Bugger if i know!

  • AUSSIES, WITH ALL DUE RESPECT, WHY DON'T YOU LOOK AT THE END OF THE BLOODY VIDEO.

    "toyota co nz"

  • [mooooooooooooow] "ohhhhh buggar"

  • you know how it was filmed in Nz, cause there is grass

  • @ryanthomasmccallum ... Australia has grass too... in our backyards

  • That is to say, he went to New Zealand for it to be filmed. It was aired in both NZ and Australia.

  • The main guy in this ad is my dad. He's Australian, but the ad is New Zealand made.

  • @Kenikins no he's my dad

  • @horselover4ever131 Whatever floats your boat.

  • @horselover4ever131 Their loss, not mine...

  • We don't have rednecks in Australia/New Zealand...thats American which we are clearly not! Bugger is the same as you saying Oops or Oh dear, we just say it better! lol

  • 0:40 poor cow XD

  • i remember the churchies jumping up and down becuase the ad said bugger me in it. along with other things, which got it banned, pity. people cant simply get the fact its a powerful ute....

  • oh and not to mention toyota.co.nz..... =]

  • typical nz farmers... my dogs name is bugger... not after the add of course... just after the aussies who think this ad is theirs = ] ha ha ha

  • lol the cow got strangled 0:40

  • laughed my butt off when the dog tried to jupm into the back of the truck.

  • @TakingU2Skool Epic FAYOL!

  • Sure, the advert may be from New Zealand... But the accents from the actors in it are clearly Australian. Who gives a shit, we are one but we are many/ANZACS/bugger.

  • best ad ever from my childhood. And the funny thing is, my uncle looks almost exactly like him, and has that exact make of hilux in the same color o.o

  • I think 'bugger' is a funny word that sounds much more respectable than our word 'fuck' don't you agree ?

  • i am sick of you australians thinking that every thing we acconplish is yours. At least we treat our natives with respect.Y treat the aboriganis like crap

  • @hoboy97 yes we are wankers...

  • this is the first really funny advert i saw (on the tarrant show) and i couldnt stop laughing! when the dog goes bugger i crack up every time!

  • Its australian idiot

  • @KNGClan no it's not, idiot

  • I remember this add from when I was little.... and all the bitching and complaining about the word bugger..... funny times

  • seriously why the fuck are you cock-wranglers arguing where the add comes from - isn't it obvious??!! DERP SOME HERP AND DUUURP SOME MORE

  • i like the cockhole that said it must be australian coz its too smart for kiwis.... congrats mhull14 you are the epitome of a egg

  • mistake in the last scene the guy start taking off and when the dog the guy havent took yet

  • And the license plates are kiwi ones!

  • french subtitles are a bit wrong

  • i remember when this ad aired on tv. The hairy arm-pitted lesbian greenies (PC Overboard Types) packed a huge shit bout the word "Buggar" being broadcast on tv for kids to hear. from what i remember ya heard worse language in a school yard playground than that :)

  • @EyelessSnowy

  • he killed the cow poor thing

  • oh bugger me!!!

  • BUGGERHHH

  • Add is Australian,, Filmed in Australia,, Not fucking NZ as you keep telling people,,

  • Comment removed

  • @TaylahBBB Ok princess !!

  • Comment removed

  • @funclo Look at the fence and the GREEN paddocks - definitely New Zealand (and I'm Australian)

  • hoo bugger me:L

  • buggah

  • I remember my English teacher from America (back when I was in highschool), telling us students that we weren't allowed to say "Bugger!" in class, because of the original meaning of the word, which means to perform anal sex. Don't you just hate prudes? *rolls her eyes*

  • This ad is from NZ. I know this for a fact because 1) I live in NZ, 2) those are NZ license plates and 3) the landscape and environment is consistent with New Zealand geographical characteristics. Furthermore, the accent is very much a New Zealand one, there are subtle vocal inflections here that are unique to New Zealand. To claim that it isn't flies in the face of obvious facts.

  • @Beavis26NZ it might be made in new zealand, but that doesnt mean its new zealand, there are taco ads in australia that were made in mexico, yet its for australia???

  • @mhull14 It's definitely a NZ ad. That dog's name is Hercules (a Huntaway).

  • We've watched this a dozen times and altho it's all funny, we make it until the dog goes BUGGER and we all just crack up.

  • oh BUGGER Me

  • such a funny ad. I saw it for the first time in the cinema years ago and just couldnt stop laughing. Ive been looking for it for ages. Soo funny!!! Love it!! Bugger!!! lol

  • Great ad

  • @wadesta1986 See our comments below; it's from New Zealand, and was broadcasted also in Australia

  • @CulturePub

it was australian, i dont see any new zealand accents there at all

  • @joe69vlach

what, u expect them to say "bigger eh brew?"

  • @CulturePub this is an ausie ad i love it

  • @CulturePub

are you deaf buddy? listen to the accents in the ad..... clearly Australian.........

  • @CulturePub Yeah, the part where he says "Bro" is a bit of a giveaway

  • @wadesta1986 just because a commercial airs in Australia instantly makes it Australian? That's an awfully defective argument you have there...

  • @wadesta1986 just trying to cheer up a few Kiwi's....they need a laugh now,

  • @wadesta1986 The fence is the give-away - no Australian fence is like that. Very definitely a Kiwi fence.

  • @wadesta1986

... the licence plates are NZ ones...?

  • @wadesta1986 Just like Split Enz, aye?

  • @wadesta1986 it says new zealand not aussie u dick

  • Poor cow ... lol

  • Poor Cow ... lol

  • @polkmnization

Well, yes, we do have our facts right: the commercial was shot in New Zealand, with Tony Williams (New Zealander who moved in Austrlia in 1980) , and writer Howard Greive , very much a Kiwi himself. the commercial was aired both in NZ , where it attracted a lot of flak for the "bugger" word and In Australia, which is why you might think it's Australian

  • @CulturePub heaps of ads are shot in different countries. its australian humour. too smart for kiwis. but was shown in australia???

  • @mhull14 It was shown both in New Zealand and Australia, and pulled out of the iar rather quickly in New Zealand due to hundrede of complaints, but not in Australian where there were only one or two complaints

  • @CulturePub that explains it kiwis are wingers

  • @mhull14 too smart for kiwis? Hmmm....look who's stealing notable Kiwi cultural icons again...the amount of ignorance and hypocrisy here is staggering. Those who claim it as being Australian have no valid argument to present and hence in terms of winning the debate no proverbial leg to stand on. It is incredibly obvious this ad was made in NZ.

  • @CulturePub remember there was flack here over the word bugger was on for a long time too before some wowsers got it pulled and I liked this ad my mother was a fan of it too from Tas. btw so we have a few shit stirrers here

  • @ANGELREAPER1972 Is that so ? We thought almost nobody complained in Australia...Well in any case it would've been pulled after a few seconds in the US...provided the word "bugger" would've been understood

  • ur a dick its from NZ

  • @polkmnization the license plates are New Zealand standard - get your own facts, as well as your eyesight checked. So is the landscape, I might add.

  • @polkmnization haha - dumb fuck!

  • WOW!

  • love that dog!!! lol!

  • ROFL that is a blast from the past it was a funny add in-till it was removed from tv.

  • @had0c site doesnt work you stupid twat

  • LoL ...

  • UNA MIERDA

  • I like the part where he says bugger

  • @Morpiha666 Damn. I really have to start paying closer attention.

  • aww the dog :)
