This is the worst attempt at chiptune music I've ever heard. There's one repeating loop that goes on for the whole song while someone improvises over it resulting in a horrible clashing mess... nothing here works together. The VVVVVV soundtrack was terrible overall, though.

The limitations on it (such as the number of instruments) prevent it from being real elaborate, and the coding is meant to keep it small so it's easier to make a loop. Not trying to force correct you here, you're allowed to not like chiptune, but it's kind of harsh to limit it to this being bad when it's problems with the overall style that you're having.

This chiptune is quite elaborate in fact, but it's very poorly done. You also assume that I don't like chiptunes as a whole instead of admitting that this particular chiptune is godawful. The reason it's bad is because it's just a bunch of melodies put together that really don't fit well together.
