  • Hybrids are not just for anyone, you have to know and understand canine behavior, if ppl did, we'd have no canine casualties due to a human getting bitten for not paying attention and knowing canine language.....ppl suck

  • That a very cute bonding. I love it. A dog and cat Friendship.

  • Nice !

  • This does not look like a high content wolfdog to me. This is not the best video to assess that though, it'd be nice to see a video of her walking around. Probably a low/no.

Also, her eyes appear to be light blue? A high content's would be amber.

  • Ahaha, this is like the gay rights of dogs lmao...

  • Tundra was a rescue from Oregon, she was owned by a young woman (first time Wolfdog Owner) and at 6 month she pre-arranged the parents house and went hunting in the near by woods. So the parents made her get rid of the animal, everyone keep in mind turning in a Wolfdog to SPCA means a death sentence for the animal, no adoption. They are NOT your average pet.

  • @HorseDogandCatPawWow She has blue eyes so she can't be anything higher than a low content. She also has dog ears, in a high content wolfdog it would be hard to spot out traits and they would not have blue eyes or dog ears. Was she born white?

  • it does not look like a shepherd o.O have any of you people seen a white wolf? it looks just like that. so yes I can see it is a vary high content wolf, yours is vary cute I can hardly notice the dog in him. People who dont know mutch about wolves may think he looks like a dog but he does not I have studied wolves all my life but its good that you care about him no matter the % some people just get them becouse they think its cool, but then they end up geting abandoned and have to be rescue.

  • @maylinx0x if you've been studying wolves your whole life then you would be able to point out the dog traits in her and you would know that a high content wolfdog would not have blue eyes. Also, the ears are not wolf ears. Looks like your average white husky.

  • @ferret926 yes I can see the dog traits in her I was just saying its not as noticeable and that she looked similar to a white wolf and I thought she did not look at all like a shepherd ( I will say though my computer is not the best, I cant even SEE the color of her eyes)

  • That is just so adorable :)

  • the cats like can we get some privacy

  • Remember I was here.Thai

  • Tundras "paperwork" was falsified. Thats a low/no wolf content shep mix. Its a lovely relationship though, regardless of the dogs breed/ wolf content.

  • baltos mother

  • brings tears of joy to my heart... ; )

  • This is a cute video with the dog & cat together.

One thing i'm wondering is how are these dogs & wolves even breeding together to get the half dog & half wolf.I assumed wolves in the wild would kill a dog.Are the bred in captivity?

  • So cute.

  • sweet video, i think it is great to post this for others to see. however, i grew up with wolf hybrids and there is much debate on how to measure percentages. yours looks like a medium to low percentage animal, not 90%, very unlikely with such behavior, even if raised with a cat. looks more like a german shepherd.

  • @EveningOctopus

It does not matter to us what actual % Tundra really might be, her paper work down to the wild stock displays 90% content. We love and respect her for what ever % she is, or not is. Only one aspect is for sure, she is a high % Wolf content and had to be raised and thaught with in the packing order in respect of it.

  • @HorseDogandCatPawWow wow, high content? Looks like a white shepherd mix to me. High content wolfdogs are supposed to look like pure wolves, not shepherds. Cute dog, but no, not a high content.

  • @EveningOctopus Then you know nothing about wolf dog hybrids. Her ears, eyes, coat, etc. show she is a high content wolf dog, NOT a GSD.

  • thank for this vidio

  • beautiful, thanks! good music choice too.

  • stunning dog/wolf plz show your other wolfdogs

  • The pup isnt grooming the cat, he's taste testing. Apparently the cat isnt ripe yet.

  • @Benny1581 hahaha

  • cute

  • Heheh, my dog Rudy would bare his teeth at anyone that goes near his bone when he's chewing on it--absolutely nice though, a golden retriever. lol, five stars

  • OMG, that wolf is BEAUTIFUL!!!! Lovely, lovely...

  • aww thats adorable

  • So sweet.

  • I have a hybrid that's 75% Black-face and I have a black cat name Bart. When Bart was a kitten he would climb up on Sampson to sleep. Kinda camouflaged. So pretty, I look at the pics all the time. Nice vid.

  • I would love to see those pictures! Maybe you could make a video? I'd subscribe :D

  • Loved it. Have a few of my own and love them dearly. Thanks for sharing.

  • most precious video i've seen in a long time. just beautiful :)

  • i cried

  • That is a beautiful cat and a beautiful hybrid, I can tell that they are well taken care of by someone who knows what they're doing!

    Thanks for posting this!

  • that proves wolves are not killers they can be kind

  • ware do you get a wolf/dog i wish i had a wolf/dog but i don't think my cat wold like that

  • so cute :)

  • :) :) :)

  • breeders don't just allow anyone to have one of these, its very controlled, to weed out the meatheads who want one just because its so "cool". these animals require a certain kind of person or they will run your life not the other way around. much like the border collie who needs a special kind of person as well. if you lack positivity confidence or have any fear you will have no respect from these superior animals.

  • Do you have one I want one to be my buddy..I have always wanted a wolf...perhaps a 75% wolf would be acceptable though I will run with it ,and give it good food give me the hook up

  • in what states are hybrids legal?

  • alll of them!

  • aiit....:( not in norway

  • every

  • I'm in FL and my teacher has 3, & I know 2 other owners. He mentioned they can't be more then 78% wolf. Nice fuzzy wuzzys they all are, some ppl think they can't get along with ppl, but dependings on who. Just don't be alpha but not a douche to them. Oh & I've heard they're really protective, even with just friends. That's the main drawback perhaps, but otherwise, get a pup and ur the new mommy or daddy. I'm not ready, big dogs are my kind, but a husky is more fitting for me right now.

  • lol im in the same state

and i never heard of something like that....

  • Idk, that's what he said, and since he has some and knows the breeder after all I figure that's that.

  • Beautiful video here!

  • my husband wants a wolf hybrid but he cant even train his Dachshund right, i have to do all the training and then he wouldn't want the dog cuz it would most likely be more attached to me once i got done with it. but i would love to have one, they are so beautiful.

  • some area dont allow wolfdogs at all but from my knowledge is that if the dog is 80% or less wolf then you dont need an license or anything to own one but anything about 80% i think you need a class 2 exotic wild life licesce

  • omg tht is one beautiful dog can anyone tell me how you get liscenses for these gorgeous animals reply back just send me a message in my inbox p.s i live in the uk

  • c'est très mignon, merci du partage

  • hi pure horse222

  • i love it i wish i had a wolf dog..:"")

  • awe sweet love :D

  • that wolfdog is GORGEOUS

  • thats realy cute wow

  • thats so cool.there is a guy in my apt complex who also has a very large wolf dog who is so old

he can barely get around, but he's best friends with an orange cat .they walk and hang out outside together .

  • Aww :)

  • is your wolf hybrid an independent dog or does it like to be with u?

  • Lmaooo! i just love seeing stuff like this

  • that is so cute when they groom each other =3

  • just absolutely beautiful

  • I am breeding a 90% dog 10% cat species at the moment

    its going to be awesome

  • O.o wow i wonder what it looks like O.o

  • Having a hybrid or wolf dog takes lots of dedication. They need to walk a lot and socialize with their surroundings. What beth8507 said is correct. If you want hybrids to get along with other dogs I would recommend having them grow up together. I have 4 wolf hybrids and 3 huskies and they all get along well, but they all grew up together. I wouldn't recommend one for a first pet either.

  • I would love to see my hybrid doing that with a cat! The only time he's that close to a cat is after he kills them, unfortunately. Beautiful dog, by the way. Looks like my other hybrid, Syre.

  • how can i get one??

  • But fighting is stupid, only in times of danger (in the wild) would this be plausible. On another note this is a very nice video and a beautiful and surprisingly well natured wolf dog.

  • do you think there eny dog that could beat a large 110lb wolf dog??

  • What a sad and cruel comment to make, I pray you do not have any dogs or any other animal for that matter.

  • i realy love your video.. i almost cried..

    i love cats soooo much!!

are they inlove? i hope so.. i wish they can get marreid and have wolfcats hehehe**

  • No domestic breed could even think of messing with a purebred wolf, thats for sure.

  • hii very nice!!!

Do a german shepherd and a wolf get on well also

would u recomend a wolf for a first pet

and what do people mean dont treat it like a pet so dont take it out for walks?

  • Wolfdogs can get along with all dogs and other species of animals, it just depends on how they were raised. Gotta take the pups away from the mom at 7-10 days old and socialize them to those animals, hand-raise them, socialize them to people and loud noises, etc. It's imperative for this breed.

I would not recommend a wolfdog for a first pet. They are a lot to handle, more so than most dogs.

Treat it like a dog (a properly raised wolfdog that is), and you will see it acts like a dog.

  • ooo thnsk is it illigal i live in england i

  • they mean do not feed it like a dog. Just dog food will not suffice you should feed it dog food and about 1-3 pounds of meat a day fresh or frozen, or if you are a person who does not like fresh meat some specialty stores sell special frozen meat that will do the trick.

  • K thnks

  • It looks sorta like my hybrid, Kiba

  • Absolutely gorgeous!

  • thats cute

  • Great video, excellent animals, really excellent!!!

  • its amazing that you have such a close to fully breed hybrid like that as a pet. and the fact that hes so mellow and peaceful is wonderful. good job!

  • aww theyre so cute =)

  • Aww! That is sooo cute! tht is what my cat and dog do! lol

  • Great vid!!

by the way, what song is this and who sings it??

  • wow thats a gorgeous hybrid.

and as far as the apartment pet, yeah generally they don't do so well in apartments, but they can if hey adjust. it just depends on the dog.

i have a friend who owns a hybrid and they travel together and usually stay in apartments on their journeys and he's a perfectly healthy and happy canine.

  • Well, I have no idea how the appartment came even came up? The girl I got Tundra from was living on 20 acre with House, Tundra's behavior was not a space issue. The girl was too young (alpha role) and simply did not know how to raise/train a High % Wolfdog. They now have a Lab and are very happy with him, while Tundra has found her forever Home at my Ranch. : )

  • I don't know that they were necessarily referring to your wolfdog, I wasn't- I was just making an observation, that wolfs aren't really meant to be living in little bitty spaces, they're supposed to roam a little. Or at least have some room to run around.

  • I agree with you on that, they do need space to run. : )

  • Wolfdogs are NOT apartment animals as you can see

  • wow, thats crazy that they are so close, especially when eating. a lot of dogs regardless of breed get pissed if they are bothered while eating something.

    thats pretty cool

  • Curious as to what state your wolf dog came from. She looks just like ours. We adopted ours in southern Wisconsin.

  • My husband and I have a beautiful wolf dog that looks so much like yours. She is part red wolf, timber wolf, and siberian husky. We adopted her from a shelter that was going to eauthinize her. She is an amazingly gentle and loving sole. We rescued a siberian husky to befried her. They both get along great with our 5 cats. It is a beautiful thing.

  • What a beautiful wolfdog. And who'd thought a wolfdog and a cat would be so close? It's simply amazing.

  • Beautiful video of Tundra & Merlin! Love how they groom each other and when Tundra has his arm around Merlin! Watched it 3 times, and favorited! Hope to see more of them! :)

    ♥Tommy the Chihuahua & Gracie the Cat♥

  • Now, I have to admit, never have I seen a wolfdog and a cat so close together, not even together. It looks so sweet.

It seems as if Tundra was part Arctic wolf, or it may have got its white from the dog side, one of those.

    Love the video!

  • You are correct, the little paper info I have on her states her being Arctic Wolf and white German Shepherd. Thanks for the nice comment.

  • Very cool video of Merlin and your cat.

Once again you should subscribe to the Wolfdogs Magazine and submit and article to the magazine about those two.

We would love to use the story.
