OK. It turns out harbor freight doesn't actually have vacuum hosing. So it looks like I need to find a new place to buy that too, if you have any Ideas I'd love to hear them.
I got a little oil in my vacuum hose that came with the gauge, and I'm too much of a clean freak to a *dirty* hose that has the potential to dirty my hsh oil
I just realized I had my hose plugged into the wrong valve... Now I've corrected my mistake & am plugging it into the top, and equalizing pressure with the valve coming off the side
Anyway, Im wondering what the BEST way you found to hook your vacuum hose up into the pump valve? I'm going to harbor freight to buy some more vac hose right now, and I want to get it on there really good so it doesn't fall off mid purge. (it has before!)
Hey I was wondering if you can buy the nalgene vacuum chamber with the actron Cp7830 Hand Vacuum pump to do the job you're doing there. I reckon it's kind of expensive to buy the chamber and the electric pump which both come to about 300 dollars, or more. Please tell me what is the best setup as I really want to buy those things for making the the cleanest BHO possible. Cheers

@blueskyfallin yes... check all connections and make sure your purge valve on your pump is TIGHTLY closed! you should be able to squeeze and extra 2-3 PSI out of that system if you're completely air tight... what's your altitude? if you're high up...over 2k, you will want to subtract 1k per 1k feet of altitude from your meter, so if you are on a mountain and your altitude is 4 thousand feet, your meter will read 25 when it's really 29!

It seems to me that the ramekin dish is part of the purging process, although you can use parchment paper, the dish itself stays warm for much longer then the paper, thus helping the vacuum purge the oil, the paper seems like it would not keep the oil warm for long enough to allow the tane to be fully purged, good reason to get the dish
and yes i kno it is looked down upon but can a handpump/mason jar vac setup be used with adequate results....thanks so much for your time and responses...could 28-29 Hg potentially break a mason jar after repeated uses..needed to do the purge process thoroughly...once again trendy thanks so much...make oil on a much smaller level so cannot justify the needed expense of nice vac investment
@guapstatus101 a mason jar hand pump will work...but it's alot of work to use. there is no guarantee a mason jar will withstand vac pressures over 25. they are simply not designed for reverse pressure... look into a chamber or a vacuum sealable container made for that purpose.

hey man one more question working on keeping my errl oily since almost everyone of my runs have buddered up on me whats a few tips u could give to keep your errl oily as long as possible?
@zabo358pure keep it in a sealed container. I find the ramakins from "good cook" from Walmart are excellent...they have a tupperware top and cost 5 bucks for 2! They can also take any heat and are 100% dishwasher safe and washable with alcohol.
@trendyasdabbers i don't think it necessarily depends on the container. i have some wax that has been sitting out drying for a month and its still goopy.. i also have some stuff that solidified the same day it was made. i think the consistency depends a lot on the strain. in my experience indicas stay gooey (goo, original o.g.) and sativas seem to solidify "greencrack/sourd" thats just my opinion... anyone have some input on that

yes you can warm your BHO to help evaporate the butane. Try a low low heat and leave the door open on the oven or toaster... should not get warmer thatn 120 degrees if you want to try this method. Thanks for watching!

get a larger metal putty knife and a butane lighter, this makes getting the oil off the blade much easier. Watching you go back and forth trying to get the oil into the bowl, made me realize pretty quick, your not the brightest bulb in the socket.
@deagleblitzd vacuum purging sucks the rest of any butane or mercaptans out of the BHO. Heat alone does not always get all of the solvent out so this vacuum technique offers an added method of removing what you don't want to be smoking.
Is that a nalgene 5305-0609 chamber? would you recommend it?

i warm the ramikin to 160ish for about 5-7 minutes. As soon as you see the oil bubble up throughout...it's warm enough for the vac purge.
