@sparky1184 you got that spot on my friend!!! Paul Rodgers talent has NO bounds!!! He did the Queen concerts ( and they blew me away) but he was true to himself and did Freddie justice in doing so!! He Is AWESOME!!!
@Julianbc01 To clarify, Freddie Mercury is a legend. Paul Rodgers is a LIVING legend...as is Brian May & Roger Taylor...John Deacon too...(Even though he's retired.)
@beniBVB All of them contributed to make what Queen was back then!!! There is no Queen if they are not all 4. That's the reason why John retired... and for that only you have to admire him!!! Queen is and always will be MAY - TAYLOR - DEACON - MERCURY!!!!!
Im in this video!!! grey shirt near the front! I won tickets on classic gold fm, they played 5 queen songs in 5 seconds and I had to say what they were, got them all right and I got 2 gold circle tickets! one of the most amazing gigs Ive been too, quite an emotional day.
I was there also. I was really pi**ed that this song was spoiled by Brian and Roger, when they had on stage the greatest blues singer ever to walk the planet. Why use a moped when you have a Ferrari. Freddie was a great rock singer, but no-one can sing the blues like Paul. Otherwise a great concert.
I was also pi**ed when they played a video of Bohemian Rhapsody. By all means show some pictures of Freddie, but I didn't pay to watch a video of their greatist hit. There is no excuse not to play it live. Whilst perhaps the operatic section cannot be replicated live, they should easily be capable of creating an alternative version, using Paul, Brian, Roger, plus two backing singers.
paul rodgers is just carrying on a legacy not trying to replace freddie...paul rodgers is one of the greatest rock legends ever...freddie was queen..paul was free...together they are beautiful!
the tears are flowing..in the world as it is today ..to see other artists sing this wonderful song ...reminds us that love life love and peace iis still the most powerful message of all....
I first saw/heard this on their DVD video album release "Return Of The Champions" live in Sheffield. This part was an extra. Nice touch dedicating it to those who lost their lives on the 7th July. This was just over a week later at Hyde Park on the 15th July.
theres never been a more powerfull meaning to a 5 minute masterpiece ( just cause u cant call this a song ) and to understand you just have to imagine !
this song is for freddie and john lennon, as well as all those who died in the terrorist attacks in london. its kind of sad that freddie and john, both very talented people, both died so young...
Great Gig in august 2005 as i was fortunate enough to have recieved complimentary VIP tckets from Queen Productions Ltd, it was awesome great acoustics. Neville Bardoli
this pewrformance was actually dedicated to those who lost their lives in what was then the very recent 7/7 terrorist attacks in london. GREAT performance anyway regardless of the circumstances!
They sang this song becuase the concert was a week after the London bombings. In fact the concert was delayed for a week. Great tune, very poignant, I was there with my son, great night never to be forgotten.
@McElhinney65 i was there too and i'll never forget the joy i felt at seeing 2/4 of my childhood hero's there, just wish i had seen freddy, but i was born to late.
the greatest rock star of all the time is just John Lennon and all the world say that, he named freedie just because was his friend although freddie was great too
i love Queen + Paul Rodgers and Free and Bad Company, Paul has a rock voice of an angel! Imagine is a beautiful song for everyone to sing, i totally agree with you, and also my username is 'queenpluspaulrodgers!'
