  • OMG! I love this breed I have one but it's fur is golden and has a body of a pitbull which is usually fat but mine is very thin . I wish I could learn her to do those tricks!!! ^-^

  • Best play dead trick I've seen!

  • omg...that is so adorable

  • Wow, I like the bow one!

  • Wow! I love Chase! Awesome job!

  • Inspired - thank you! A very good job! Mine learned to slam the door - Mom babysat - and shut the dogs out of the bedroom instead of instead every night! On my return more. My Male Ridgeback Gamka watches everything!

On my return they had learned how to shut Mom out of the bedroom! So - there is room for refinement. My Male Ridgeback Gamka watches everything!

  • beautiful dog.

  • @rogersmmr Beautiful dog, RD's are the best dogs ever... How did you teach him to get you the remote?! If I teach that to my dog, I'm NEVER getting up again. ;)

  • Love the play dead! What a beauty Ridgeback! Fantastic work with your training, we'll be keeping an eye out for your new videos :o)

  • Oh hell yea Chase! Good boy!!!

  • Well deserved bow! Great job you two! Did you use Kyra Sundance's book?

    greetings from Switzerland

    Vela and buzz

  • @musicofnote1 Thank you. :-) I've heard of Kyra's book, but haven't seen it yet. We figured most of these out as we went along. I'm learning as fast as my dogs can teach me. ;-)

  • @rogersmmr - many moons ago we started using her book and have incorporated many of the tricks into our Dog Dancing Choreos. I completed her Certified Trick Dog Instructor certification a couple of months ago. It's so much fun teaching the tricks and gets easier the more she learns. I've always loved RRidgebacks and yours is just gorgeous. And such a talented Trick Dog!

  • Really impressed with all the tricks, well done!

  • @Christiethelegend Thank you!

  • Oh he is very very clever <3

  • how u train ur dog like that ???

  • @namoor90 I use clicker training. It is a positive reinforcement method of training. Dogs love it.

  • OMG that was so cool ur doggy is so cute:)

  • awesome. my old babysitter's dog knows the "bang" one. the playing dead with sound affect.

  • He would make an excellent husband! lol

  • awesome!

  • wow...

  • such a LOVELY dog!! so talented and you have trained him very well!!!

  • rodestian ridgeback, so gorgeous XD

  • so cuteee!! how old was he when you took this video?? :D

  • @chocaholic269 Glad you like it. He was 6 years old.

  • your, dog listens to you very well. He is a good and cute dog thank you for sharing this video with us.

  • Amazing!!!

  • I like bounce, I haven't seen that one before.

  • WOOW THTS SOOO COOL

  • I applaud your patience and skill! I am utterly jealous of both you and your dog. Now if only I could get my little muttster to get some of these down... :)

    Thanks for the inspiration!

  • Ahh. The power of the clicker. :-)

  • ADORABLE! You are one very lucky owner... My Ridgeback does most of this tricks as well, the "clean up your toys" was really hard to teach... He also does Obedience. Sadly he won't do any of this with the camera ready, he's a wierd dog! But I do have vids of him playin' around, check them out ;)

  • Wow he's amazing! What a great team you guys are :) How did you get him to understand what the bell means. I've got no idea how you would teach that. Also how did you train Bounce as a trick. Do you have any vids i can watch about that?

  • How do I get my RR to do that ???

  • ADORABLE,AWESOME,GREAT !

  • LOL i love the play dead :)

  • whats the little cutey's name?

  • this is sooo awsome!

  • wow!

  • Wow did your doggy go to training classes? My miniature dachshund Abbey, didn't but I taught her like 16-18 tricks also :) But those tricks are just things that dogs do...... I mean she doesn't close the door, bring the remote and give it back to you, or ring the bell...... how did you teach your dog that? I'm also trying to teach my dog how to bow........ ?

  • Congrats on teaching your pup so many tricks. I love working with my dogs & learn so much from them. We train using clicker training. There are lots of good videos on YouTube. I think zsianz1 has one on teaching bow. Her channel is excellent. Also, check out kikopup. She has some wonderful tutorial videos, as well. Good luck and have fun. :-)

  • I read that you lost Chase. I am SO sorry. These are gorgeous dogs and I cannot say enough about them.

  • Thank you very much. :-)

  • that is an amazing dog! He is SO obedient! :D

  • i love your dog !!! :)

  • wow!! 5 Stars !!!

  • Awe! Whadda GOOD BOY!!!! He has such cute expressions :) My favorite was the bang w/sound effects! Great job :D

  • Very impressive

  • Thats amazing. I would love to know how you taught him that?

  • Thank you very much. We had a lot of fun learning the tricks. These are just a series of behaviors strung together. Let me know which ones you are interested in and I'll send you a message with the details. Do you have a ridgeback?

  • Wow, He is very talented! You are a great trainer!

  • He is very smart! Is he a pure ridgeback? He looks like a vizla to me... However, I think you are a lovely trainer and this is a lovely video! How did you teach him to get the remote control, toys, etc.?

  • Thank you for your nice comments. Yes - he is full Rhodesian Ridgeback. Ridgebacks can come with 2 color noses. They can have a black nose (more common). If they have a black nose they should have brown eyes. They can also have a brown/red nose (like Chase). That is called a livernose. If they have a livernose, they should have yellow eyes. I will send you a video on how to teach put toys away. :-)

  • What kind of dog is that?

  • Very impressive. I have a chocolate lab mix (Dudley) and he knows sit, go to your cage, and for a scooby doo treat my husband puts it on his nose and then he catches it in his mouth. You gave me some ideas to do, we will see how impressive my dog does. How long did it take you to train Chase?

  • I use clicker training with my dogs. Some behaviors train very quickly (sit pretty, touch a target, ring the bell) and some behaviors take more time (dusting, stacking plates). It doesn't matter to the dogs, they enjoy all the clicker games. :-) I'd love to see some video of Dudley. You can post his tricks as a video response, if you like.

  • Dudley had to show his face in one of the videos that I am probably putting out next week. He don't know to many tricks. He does like to play ball. How do you clicker train?

  • awesome!! we are wokring with our 12 week old and she knows sit, paw, down, speak and stand on hind legs so far!

  • Absolutely amazing. Loved it!

  • Very impressive! I think my dogs need to watch this video to motivate them! I loved it. :)

  • Amazing

  • Such a happy dog. That is really good to see.

  • Aww...what a smart boy he is....you're an AWESOME trainer! 5/5*

  • OH MY GOD my dog can stand to!!!!!! can urs also go to the bath room?

  • As a matter of fact, he can do that on command, too. :-)

  • WOW!!! I guess we have some training to do with our RR ;)

  • Very cute! I just love ridgebacks :)

  • Very Nice, 5 Stars :-)

    I love the Rhodesian Ridgebacks!!

  • Thank you very much! :-)

  • excellent!!!

I am interested in your Rhodesian Ridgeback very much.

  • Thank you! Your golden retrievers are beautiful. :-)

  • I like how you say "thank you" to him. I do that with my dogs also. It's good manners.

  • Aww cute

  • Great job Chase and "Mom"! :) 5 stars! He just wants to please so much, doesn't he? :) You've done a terrific job with training and I love that you can talk to him in full sentences instead of just giving "commands" - that's truly a different level as far as being connected with a dog! :) Looking forward to seeing more! :)

  • OMG what a totally smart doggy!!!!!!

  • Omg, it's amazing.

Is your dog a Rhodesian Ridgeback, I read about them but I've never seen anybody actually own one :)

  • Yes, he is a Rhodesian Ridgeback. He is a rescue and we got him from Ridgeback Rescue.

  • Wow, your pretty amazing. I really thought, because of their independent minds, that the RR would not be so willing to do trick, but here it is.

  • haha, very good. I should do a video just like this...if you dont mind me stealing your idea..ill do it as a response, ok?

  • I'd love to see your response! Your dog is adorable. I can't wait to see what you come up with. :-)

  • loved that!

  • That was Awesome! I wish I had a dog to teach tricks to but nice work anyway. How long did it take to teach him all of those.

  • Chase LOVES to play the clicker game and is quick to catch on to the behavior that is being clicked. He can learn simple behaviors usually in one or two sessions (it took him about 3 minutes to learn to blow bubbles). Behavior chains (putting toys away; back-up/turnaround/back through my legs) take a bit longer, depending on the behavior. Thank you for your interest. Hope you're able to get a dog soon. :-)

  • Those are AWESOME. I can't wait to start teaching some of them to my pup. :)

  • wow, that is garunteed win all my dog does is sing

  • PLease, please tell me how you got your dog to do these tricks! My girls would love to teach him. They are particularly interested in getting the remote, ringing the bell, putting away toys and playing dead! That was amazing!!

  • Amazing... Wow... Wow... My dog can do only a few of this tricks- but we will try to catch You hihi

Warmest regards for You and Your lovely dog :)

  • Thank you. We've had a lot of fun with the tricks. My dogs love to problem solve (how do I earn the treat?). I'm sure yours will, too. I look forward to seeing your videos. :-)

  • Just wonderful.

  • Thats awesome good job you train your dog very well!

  • Brilliant! - obviously so focussed. I've trained mine to do the same behaviours but the chances of me doing them all in one go so perfectly is remote and he's not as fast as Chase - very laidback in fact!!

  • wow so amazing!!

    Brilliant tricks!!!

    Chase is so beautiful

I love the play dead trick with the sound effects :D

  • That's really cute dog ;o)

Nice work You've done with Him!

  • Excelent!!

    Greetings

  • Gracias & greetings to you!

  • GREAT, never saw a RR doing any of those tricks!!!!

  • Awesome.

  • .....are you sure that's not just Bob in a dog suit?

  • LOL. My husband's not that well trained!

  • Very lovely!

  • Brilliant...love that he holds his positions until you release him, great self control. He makes it all look very easy! Also noticed how he makes sure he "drops dead" on the comfy rug and not the tiled floor...typical RR!!

  • Wow that is one talented dog!! good job!!!
