phrasing.. BUT- KC's voice, being a contralto, was usually pitched a fair bit lower.. I think Rumer is her own person, a great singer in her own right. Plus, her music can cross practically ANY demographic.. it's not

hard to imagine all kinds of people, from Kids to Grannies, getting into this... it's just sweet music, period.

This is a cover from the 70's and God, I hope we're moving toward more true blue songwriting like this. One of my favorite songwriters is Tony Terraciano. Hope to hear some soulful songs from him soon. Saw him about a year ago. His site only sports one song, but I heard him with a guitar and it was amazing. Plus, he's sexy as shit! The UK always taps into the trends and hopefully it trickles into the market here in the USA. God knows we need it.
