Love it. I can very faintly remember seeing the video as a 4 of 5 year old, by virtue of Meremere being in the background.. only found out who Knightshade were in the last 5 years or so.. What a great song, the video ain't half bad either.
Good ol knightshade, ahh the eighties, the happiest years of my life. Anybody remember 'The Downunder Bar' in Hamilton? Pretty sure I remember Knightshade playing there in the early nineties. Great memories
Wonderful to hear this song again after 20years! Shame these blokes didn't make it big in Aussie & beyond! I remember working at Radio 1 the Dunedin student radio station & I inadvertently walked on one of the DJs interviewing the lead singer. He made a wisecrack about my green shorts (well, they were prerrty heinous now I think of it, the shorts that is) And I laughed and said "Welcome to Dunedin, guys!"
I use to get so much shit for being into knightshade from certain friends OMG they rocked and still do! Those years were awesome...I wanna gooooooo baaaaaaack!
My god. For years I've hummed this tune as I saw it once on something like RTR countdown od Radio with Pictures in New Zealand. Now I've frigging found it. The song rocks.
Mate what ever happened to these lads? I use to see them at "WildLife" in Auckland, they then apparently came over to Australia and have never heard of them agian. Great NZ sound.
well the lead singer and the lead guitarist are working at wintec now but the other band members are still playing in bands alan grady is in a band called SRV Cream and Jimi Hendrix Experience with the lead guitarist of 8 forty 8 Simon Koretz and a bass guitarist Derreck Shaw and john bell is in a band as well called Malone it is a bummer that the band has split up but you can still get their music on line. if you want any more info on them don't hesitate to email me,
they have split up and carried on with their own life two of the members are working at polytecnic in hamilton new zealand and the other members are in their owm bands so that is what happened to the band
man, I saw the boys in '95 or '96 at the last "mountain rock" festival, them and Joe Satriani were amazing and made it worth two days of mediocre music to finally see kiwi metal's finest, live and loud. Excellent post, mate.
wicked have this still from when they rereleased on CD years back, Paul Martin sent it I think, was actually checking to see if Paul had anything on You tube, been o/seas awhile and checking out bands from the Naki & the Mighty Waikato:)

Yeah, I remember the Knightshade. Memories!
Does anybody remember a guy called Johnny Brookes (& Anna Neville)? Johnny did the AxeAttack with Paul Martin for a couple of years.
Like to hook up with the boy if I can. Thanks.
