do you have any 1/6 scale projects? I'm going to start making small stages for my 1/6 scale soldiers and since its such a large scale i'm planning on keeping it really displayable since it involves more detail and space is an issue.
this would make a great vivarium background for a lizard. When we make fake rock structures we cover it in tile grout, it gives a very realistic rock-feel!!
Plz help me i have 2 days until the deadline for a class project and i need to know how long it takes for the hydrocal to dry on a tiny diorama, as big as your 6 part tutorial 1
heh you should have put blue ink in there so its blue tinted.... and you should have put some Persian's in the water and someone kicking them in there heh that would be awsome... because of this video i am finishing my dwarfing castle inside a mountain it will be awsome :) i will make some videos i hope >=] its awsome
HI and thanks for watching my videos. I got a new one coming today on using cork to make rubble in a diorama. I am pretty sure acrylic paint will work perfectly well under the water. Just make sure it is nice and dry. You might want to do just a little test run to make sure.paint a small patch with your chosen color, let it dry, then pour on a little realistic water to see if the paint bleeds. I think you will be fine though always a good idea to run a little test. I think i used acrylic blue.
you have inspired me with your amazing dioramas. can you check out my vietnam prototype i made today its not the best but ok for a first. thanks u rock!!!
its on my channel now it had some trouble uploading but its working now, plz tell me what you think of it because im thinking of doing either a ww2 paciffic or vietnam kinda thing maybe a ww2 europe theme maybe. anyway tell me what you think
hey, i like your tutorials but i was wondering you should make warhammer 40k terrain and all. iv been trying to find tips on how to make good terrain for warhammer 40k so yeh, I suggest maybie starting on some 40k?
That is a great idea. The diorama is big enough to be a whole scene. I should do it and have given it some thought. Maybe I will, not sure. So many projects, and so little time.
where can i buy that "realistic water" solution or is there an alternative for it? I am from the Philippines and I'm not sure if I can get it here. Thanks
It would be awesome to make a really big and really complex diorama. It would add a lot of complexity and excitement to the game! I probably should put it on my to do list!!

FamilyArth 8 months ago
@FamilyArth I think I used two sixteen ounce bottles. Woodland scenics sells them only in one size and I used two of them.

with the water thing, if you aimed a fan toward your diorama while it was drawing, would it simulate waves?
yusha32 2 years ago
YEs, this is a great technique that people use to simulate waves. You can use a fan or a hair dryer. it works well.

chevycowboy1963 2 years ago 5
The layers are pretty thin but yes, you could embed tiny fish in the layers. Would look good.

i would be interested in making dioramas
but i would have no experience and no proper equipment to make it
could a decent diorama be achieved by using some basic paints, cardboard, paper mache and mos? ;p
please respond in a PM thankyou very much

hmm, I am not sure. SO far its ok in my diorama. Guess I will monitor it and see. Only been a few months now.
willssonglist 3 years ago
Hey Epic,
I vist your website and watch all your videos and would like to say first great job.
I have a question tho on the undercoat for the water.
Would acrylic paint work because, I would like to avoid using the pricy woodland scenic paint I have stocked up.
Thanks

I have yet to tint the Realistic Water but it is water soluble so it should be easily tintable. I will have to give it a try at some point.
epicfantasy 3 years ago
Is that water product tintable? For like a muddier effect?
