the vqhr is a great engine, the vqde, not so much. they are reliable and have a decent powerband, but mods don't really do much, for example the minimal gains from headers tune or no tune. i just find it funny that my old ass auto g35 with two mods and about 10whp over stock beats so many cars in it's class. mine is a base sedan though, no leather, no power seats, no sun roof, no bose, no nav, 16s, nothing. it's lighter, but besides that i have no explanation. 350z lose to it

@03basesedan I don't know what you're talking about, but you can easily push 5-8 PSI through a TC/SC onto a stock block VQ35DE, and you'll end up at the very least with a 12 second car, with around 450 BHP, and 370 WHP plus (That's in the FWD Altima alone, non SE-R).

I expected the SE-R to do well from the beginning, but i didnt think it would walk everyone that much. Especially beating a 350Z with an Intake. If the SE-R had a CAI and an exhaust i could see the results being this way, but to be stock and beat a slightly modded 350Z is def not what i expected. Interesting though. Good work SE-R.

I am an owner of a 06 SE-R Altima and i have a high flow air filter and a Z-tube and I am getting 24mpg going back and forth to work. sometimes 25mpg. when I go on trips it gets 28MPG NO PROBLEM! So it's a win win situation with the SE-R, it has power and mpg.

yo whats up man ... im the guy with the 6 speed accord ... i would suggest the Altima SE-R or Civic Si just becuz of the fact that there are more aftermarket parts for them .... all of the cars are nice and ride very well...when i bought my accord i was looking at Altima SE-R the hardest but i blew the engine on my old car and i just wanted to buy a car as quick as possible . but overall the accord is nice and quick as well ... i dont think you can go wrong with any of the cars. hope this helps

Nice races but, I don't get it? The 350z is slightly lighter than the se-r & has +27 HP & +23 LBFT. How is it slower? & How is this stock se-r faster than this Porsche? The slowest Porsche today is the boxter convertible which still runs a 13.9 or so with an automatic. A 911 of any kind will be quite a bit faster than any boxter so it should have smoked the se-r I would think? I'm not saying your a liar or anything but, I just can't understand how that se-r is so fast?
