The Romans have used women before as "gladiators" or gladiatrix as this documentary implied. Nonetheless, there is no evidence of a gladiator school for women nor women fighting in the tradition of a gladiator that may have trained several years and fought probably as much as 50 combats if he survived that long.
The Romans are always looking for alternatives in entertainment and what more than having women criminals or slaves fight it out. However, the use of women was short lived.
@tacotony24 I'm sure they had some kind of training facility. I wonder if they ever used them to recreate the myths of the amazons who defeated men in open battle. I heard the Romans liked to recreate the myths in the amphitheatres.

Pict women were also taught how to fight like Scythian woman. It was just common sense for Romans to send them to the Arena.
But I have a guess that these women were not so pretty as the ones in the documentary.
