in regards to all the comments on science, chemistry, and physics. It doesn't matter what gas you are speaking of. If the partial pressure of the gas is increased, you will cause for an increase in saturation. The greater the increase in partial pressure, the greater the amount of a gas that becomes dissolved. Time does of course play a major role, as gases dissolve into different tissues at different rates. Therefore, the more time spent... the closer one comes to total saturation
lol im a Commercial diver not an english or chemistry teacher .. and what i meant buy too much nitrogen in the body .. it will give you the same feeling as laughing gas.

@OoOComputerGeekOoO you can order Nitrous oxide on line from a cooking supply company.... They come in little CO2 like cylinders, you'll need to order a "cracker" and a large ballon to catch the gas then you can huff away....Your local head shop may have all this however if you ask for it as whippets they will call you a cop and tell you to leave the store so ask for them as Nitrous oxide and tell them you are making whipped cream....
@OoOComputerGeekOoO Because the NO2 is what is used in whipped cream as the gas to push the cream out of the can...any other gas causes the cream to go bad....However it's not to be used for illegal inhaling....Kind of like how you have to sign for certain sinus meds now because they can be turned into meth.
hahaha ever seen those tanks they put in cars so that they hit a switch and the car takes off its called nos (nitrous oxide) and u can buy it at car modification shops
The effect there experiancing . is called nitrogen narcosis ( Narced ) .. its basically too much nitrogen in the body .. same as laughing gas ! .. it gives you a feelin of being drunk and giddy ... the faster u go down the more it hits you .. so they went to 50m below sea level in under something like 1min.30secs .. which is very quick .. as a commercial diver myself .. we all have to experiance it to know what it is ..
@Smerkz69 experience/ing*, and thanks for that, wish they explained it in the vid.. and they didnt actually physically go down.. they just experienced similar conditions right? And if you come back up too fast you die from oxygen bubbles in ur blood ye? forgot what thats called.. dammit...
In a multiplace chamber this size, it is almost always compressed with air rather than O2. For treatment periods, you breathe O2 from a mask which exhausts outside the chamber. O2 levels are carefully monitored and are not allowed to rise more than a couple percent above atmospheric (21%). So the fire risk is pretty low compared to a monoplace pressurized on O2. But still, you're correct: no sparking metal, no synthetic fabrics, definitely no hydrocarbons, alcohol, or other flammable liquids.
a hyperbaric chamber isnt a joke its for divers who get hte bends and u culd potentially dye from them the chamber is not a toy but a great scientific feat

So they are suffering from 'the bends' or DCS as the medical term ?

iammrsnowflake 1 year ago
@Smerkz69 you can get nitrogen narcoses whilst diving and it can be life threatening at it can block your arteries
mrsheepy1000 1 year ago
@Smerkz69 Nitrogen is N2. Lauging gas is nitrous oxide N2O.
AArkadij 1 year ago
@AArkadij The oxygen is absorbed and the nitrogen stays in your blood stream, so it is the exact same effect, he's right.
toodietoodieomg 1 year ago
@toodietoodieomg
Dude. Are you serious? Oxygen from nitrous oxide gets absorbed and nitrogen stays? Did you ever study chemistry? Even the most basic level?

@Raziel236 Its nitrogen that stays in your blood stream and its called Decompression sickness (DCS) AKA the bends

why couldnt the dude with the lip piercing go in?
naota172 3 years ago 2
Absolutely no metal in a chamber what so ever .. main reason - ur breathing in oxygen one spark from his piercing inside there its an oven .. lol

what is a hyperbaric chamber? o.0
pipeline3609 3 years ago 3
it either puts pressure around you or it makes you high! lol
DisturblyDisturbed0 3 years ago
ohhhh so it's like a pressure chamber basically
pipeline3609 3 years ago
To make you high, the pressure has to be low. You are high when the pressure is low because you are deprived of oxygen.
