Bergonzi had one of the most beautiful light, lyrical tenor voices in operatic history. Although he does this well, it's not a role for him. A much more powerful voice i.e., Corelli, is needed. Try Bergonzi in Adriana Levouvreur, Boheme or Butterfly, even La Gioconda.
