Your chocolate chips are correct, helmet and chin strap correct, boots are, pads aren't, gloves not, rifle somewhat, and you need the Alice mag pouches and a butt pack. Other than that my friend your good
since i like your vids and this is the 5th comment i put out on your videos and im in a good mood ima sub and add you oh and your loadouts pretty beast
I like it, you fit right in to the Somalia theme....EXCEPT.... (and this is considering your into the marines) marines wore a PASGT woodland camo plate carrier with their LBC (your web gear) over it. Just sayin but you got a like from me.
Very nice setup man, I like the good old fashioned ALICE equipment. I sport it myself on occasion. You actually have the look correct if you are going for a period US Marine, just missing the PASGT flak vest.
@super64mandown In the early 1990's, directly after the Gulf War. The standard issue equipment for a soldier of this era was 6 color desert "chocolate chip" BDU, ALICE web gear, PASGT helmet and vest.
@Martzx3193 you sir are wrong. we stopped using flack vests somtime in the late 70s early 80s. my dad was switched from that to the neew bullet proof balistic vest which still kept the "flack" stopping power but much lighter and easier to use. that was also when they stoped using the steel helmet. i have all of the correct gear from 1940s to now. dont think i dont know this. and a real flack vest is hard to use in airsoft, i would reccomend just getting an airsoft vest
@super64mandown You probably are correct. I know this material quite well too. The PASGT systems were issued in 1983 and ran all the way up until the late 1990s for the vest and into OIF/ OEF for the helmet before the Army switched the the ACH/ MICH. The marines switched to the Lightweight Helmet which has the same design as the PASGT more or less. The vest that was then used was the Interceptor Body Armor by Point Blank.
@super64mandown Reason I said US Marine was because during the actual Operation Restore Hope in 1993, they typically used this equipment where as Rangers (if we have seen or read Blackhawk Down) used the newer 3 color desert pattern with their own exclusive Ranger Body Armor in woodland camouflage. They still had 6 color desert helmet covers because of the transition however.
Actually you should use the dcu ( three color ) not the dbdu ( six color) . The six color dbdu phased out right after troops got back from the gulf

The movie "Black Hawk Down" follows Operation Black Serpant, not Restore Hope.
Oxstayne 1 year ago
Black Serpant was during Restore Hope. Restore Hope was the reason we were in Somalia.
JarheadAirsoft 1 year ago
@JarheadAirsoft Yeah I know. I am just saying the Black Hawk Down incident was a product of Black Serpant.
