You make a good point! Within the realms of horror/alternative and punk movies - there was more classical stuff kicking about!

However, no-one came as close, in terms of Warholian/Punk/Horror/Porn as Kern did, no matter how pretentious or all consuming it turned out!

That whole "Cinema of Transgression" was utterly worthless, snotty, stupid, pretentious, egomaniacal morons.The No Wave bands all really shitty. Even that whole "Knitting Factory" avant music scene crowd makes me vomit, people like John Zorn/Naked City, Fred Frith, etc. and their idea over form irritating muzak, all the Sonic Youth and Swans guitar noise junk, too, Complete shit. I know and met all of these people, I am in a Nick Zedd film, I know what I am talking about. The NYC scene was always derivative and what it influenced, in my opinion, is garbage, you're entitled to your opinion, why be a rude jerk? The fact is, there were FAR more interesting and skillful and horrific experimental music scenes and styles preceding as well as done during the time of NO WAVE that deserve greater attention than NO WAVE but are still more obscure.....
