I've been at this place... It's very old there! And there are headstones from the mayflower! It's sad to see it pretty neglected. I live in La Porte :( it's definitely got history
I think that the abandoned grave yard beyond was a former African American graveyard, or so I had been told. Not confirmed. When I was a teenager, we used to drive up and down Goatman's road looking for some mythical Goatman to come out. All we found were some older kids who scared the heck out of us, and spun around and then chased us clear to Port Road, and back to Shoreacres Blvd til finally we had to stop at a house and ask the owners to call the police.
is this the one by little cedar bayou park? ... it's always kind of creeped me out... i've lived in LaPorte for 6 years and i've never heard of a Goat Man... Read Weird Texas. It also has some stories like that.
Growing up in the Ft Worth area in the 70s I remember hearing a very similar goatman story except it was in Ft Worth. Same description of the "goatman". Is this a Tx urban legend or general?
