my dads been to the tatoo twice The ontario Pipes and drums are talking about going again unfortnatly he can't get the holiday time to spend 3 weeks there he said he'd probably do it again when hes retired

WHAT? i missed this! macphersons lament is up there on my list of the most beautiful songs on earth. i couldnt find anyone to come with me to this, so disappointed i miss it. i would've sobbed if i'd experienced this live. ugh.

This show was actually amazing.

I cried.

It was so powerful. Not this particular part. but the Memorial. It was so touching.

Everything in this show was amazing.

All the musicians were magnificent.

It has everything to do with where you stand. If you're stood in front of 10 heraldic trumpets you ain't gonna hear much else and not because the brass is too loud. Hopefully the general balance for the audience in the arena was right - and it seems that it was.

I was 3 meters from the piper among the top rank of the choir. Never actually heard until this recording that amazing octave up-leap by the massed pipes at our entrance 10 bars into their line. Wow.

Must have been the July 5th show.

Favourite bit from the '08 show was the parade, when the T&T Steel Band was playing next to our post and we couldn't hear the pipes at all ;-)

I'm with the Watch too, and if I must say you had a good seat, or we did very well this show, as often the brass was too loud and the pipes could not be heard well....
