The last mission of this game is a total mind fuck.

It's kind of genius. Many people hate the ending, but makes you feel like Raiden, violated.

The bandana gag is priceless.

BTW I love Snake is this game. He is a seasoned vet who gives good tips about how to stay alive, but more importantly, how to live.

I wish he was a little more like this in MGS 4.

@Thexboxdudes When Meryl dies and you take escape with Otacon, you get the Stealth Camouflage when you restart the game. When you leave Otacon behind, and escape with Meryl, you get the Bandana when you restart the game. Beating the game twice and getting both endings, will give you both items when you restart a third time.

to answer everyone's questions, Meryl's ending is the real ending. In Meryl's ending Otacon doesnt die due to the fact that the bomb strike was called off. after that Otacon teamed up with snake and gave him the stealth camo.

To get stealth in MGS2 you need to not be seen by anyone, in other words you can't enter an alert phase, just the same in MGS4. I did it on MGS2 but I saved the game so many times because I didn't want to get seen, then the data became corrupt when I actually got stealth, it takes some time on raidens misson, but snakes is easy.
