  • @Midbro100 Please post a video of YOU shooting a thousand yard shot.

  • hmm, someone copied the marine corps...

  • how would you like to work in the pit?

  • 6 people cant shoot out to 1000 yards...

  • @GunsMoreGunsAndStuff If you got that from a TV show you can forget it. I can shoot out to a 1000 yards consistently and I'm considered just above the average marksmen.

  • @Midbro100 Well, fucken congrats on that one... is that what you were after ?

  • hopefully he doesnt shoot out the spindle and shrapnel the guy below in pits, thats never fun

  • just keep clicking 1:42 you see a rocket

  • 2:02 is the best part!

  • That tracer round was awesome to watch as he lobed that shot out there.

  • Best part evar 1:10

  • haha what a good place to catch a 50 cal defliction

  • Its a dumb question but where is this range? I have a few rifles I would like to show off..

  • I would like to hear the round at the target end of the range.

  • i saw the bullet go hella fast haha

  • 5 liberal democratic hippies hit the dislike button........thumbs up to this vid if you're a republican who excersizes you're 2nd amendment right that the dems are trying to take away

  • @ArabsStank What about the Democrats who are against gun restrictions...you know what, this isn't worth it. Your username already tells me what sort of reply I'll get.

  • @SomeonewhoisFrench They are few and far between and are considered "middle/independant". And your username suggests that you are French......and being French suggests that you are gay.

  • @ArabsStank The first part was much more civil than I expected. The second evened things out, though.

  • Great job you guys. Really nice place. Be sure to check out our videos.

  • Is it just me or is that round traveling pretty slow?

  • that gun makes the sweetest noise... BOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

  • it would be funny if anyone test a grenade launcher when the guy is doing pitservice^^

  • A bullet shell from a Barret M82 .50 rifle travels about 3,000fps or around 2,000mph almost 3 times the speed of sound.

  • very nice range!

  • You could see that bitch fly

  • achei meio perto para estar a 1000 yd.

olhando pelo video dá impressão de estar menos.

  • freeze it at 1:42 u can see the bullet

  • I love the Tiger Valley range, just like the ones we used in the Marine Corps. Nice job guys!

  • Oh man! I have got to fire that rifle at least once in my life!

  • This would be sweeeet in HD.

  • when you that far down range it sounds about like a .22. well at least when i pullin butts for CMP. but thats usually with a 30 cal or a 223 at 300 meters

  • Lol Modern warfare 2 derp derp

    SHUT THE FUCK UP

  • How much you have to aim higher there? to hit the target

  • massive bullet drop i wouldnt expect that much

  • the bullet doesnt really look like its going as fast as i thought it would go

  • Its going faster than you see in the tracer, your eyes only see the tracer at 25 frames per second. It deceptively slow.

  • @headphones222 that makes no sense at all. speed isn't dependent on framerate. if you have low framerate you won't see things slower.

  • @headphones222 , we see at about 30 frames per second (movies) the slower, the choppier. the faster the slower ( high speed).

  • give or take it changes person to person, but what I am saying, is that by the last time you saw the tracer the bullet has already landed.

  • @headphones222 , yea, but tracer are just made so u can see thje trajectory. and it stayes in the air longer. ( not real long)

  • @emerica245

don't forget, your looking at it from the perspective of 1000M....so it's traveling plenty fast haha

  • a bala fez uma curva?

  • i think the best part of the vid is at 2:06 wehre you can see the bullte how it loses hight

    really niche!

  • cool vid TJ! miss that range...

  • The best part of this video is at 1:03

  • @mindeloman whys that the best part do u like staring at his ass

  • @blazzer1995 It's the sound of the bolt cycling. Do you have some suppressed feelings that you throw on others to make-up for a sense of lost masculinity? i suggest you see a counselor or shrink to help you with your identity issues. Hey this is a new century. You can be gay. Just let it out man.

  • @mindeloman

its nice to see the bullet flying!!

  • @mindeloman his butt?

  • @ArabsStank hey man if that's what you're into that's okay but I'm very much hetero. I never considered it was a posterior view. I couldn't take my ears off of the beautiful sound of cycling the bolt. Hey but if guys is what you're into your fortunate to live at this time. There are a lot more rights for your people today than 20 years ago. I wish you and your life partner the best. I'm sure you two men really love each other.

  • @mindeloman hahaha

  • @mindeloman LOL!!!! Oh man, thanks for the great laugh!!!! That just made my day...LOL!!!

  • @mindeloman 1:11 actually

  • That's awesome!

  • Nice range!

  • that would be so freaking scary in the pits waiting for the sniper to shoot! Especially when you hold that moving target!

  • scary but very interesting i think.. u should be quite safe behind that thick earth wall if u can resist the urge to stick your head up :D

those guys should make a video what it looks and sounds like for the pit service dude when theyre actually shooting the targets..

  • @pooptube111 My chemistry teacher has worked pits before and he says its a very odd experience, completely backwards to what were used to. He said that you hear the sonic crack of the bullet overhead, then a second later you will hear the sound of the rifle firing.

  • @ddmo2 Your teacher is right. I have worked the butts(pits) and have been shot at. Bullets make a crack when they pass by you supersonic. At a distance you hear the crack of the bullet long before the boom of the rifle.

  • you barely hear the round on the moving target, shit on me all you'll see is your mate blow up, .50 is a wicked round!!

  • oh yeah

    i took a 15,001 yard shot recently

    with a 155mm howitzer

  • Go Arty. Love you guys. Got me out the shit more times than needs talking about. Apart from the time you dropped your rounds short.

  • nice did you hit the target

  • @crazyboy123252

the target .........and the 100 yards around it

  • @M40 lmao

  • @M40 lol nice

  • @M40 thats whats up!

  • awesome vid

  • dangerous haha hits ground and penatrates through u are a dead man

  • @gmanownage1239 I was just thinking that, I hope that is dense dirt.

  • @gmanownage1239

Usually when any bullet hits the ground it fragments and breaks up.

  • Well this has been fun all of you who left comments about a 15,000 YARD SHOT have truly made my week. I think it is safe to say that there was never a 15,000 yard shot made

  • heck! wouldnt want to work in that pit!

  • I can shoot 1/2 inch gaps at 15,000 yards with my 30-06.

  • wow.. you ya... huuu gay.

  • I wanna see that. You show me and I will call the army saying someone just broke the long range record by a long shot.

  • @kalzx Are you sure you meant fifteen-thousand yards?

  • @Firequacker yes 15,000 yards and i shot it with a barrett model 99 in the .416 round. Long shot you know that is 8.52 miles

  • i was joking about it being with a 30-06

  • @kalzx At what range/property was this?

  • @kalzx that 8 miles i very much doubt it

  • well believe it because i have done it

  • @kalzx Unless you are shooting straight down out of an aircraft, it's physically impossible. You are either incorrect in your measuring the distance or you are lying. If you want to prove it, post the video.

  • @kalzx No, you can't. Maximum EFFECTIVE range of a .30-06 is approximately 800-1000 yards, if you're a good benchrest shooter. 15000 yards is ridiculous, you can't see a target at that distance and probably couldn't even arc it that far. 1500 yards, I'd have to see it to believe a 1/2 inch grouping, even by chance. 1500 feet, maybe? But that's not worth bragging about.

  • @kalzx Yea you can shoot 15,000 YARDS? with your 30-06. Just like i can hit the lochness monster with a rock from my window in usa with a slingshot!

  • it was a model 99 in a .416 that i shot it with

  • @kalzx At least do some research. A .416 can shoot about a 1-foot grouping at 2500, that's how well the RIFLE will shoot, not accounting for human error. A .50-caliber round can travel as far as 11000 yards indirectly, but it's impossible to be accurate at that distance. A .416 will reach just a little farther than that, but still may not reach 15,000 yards. Also, didn't you say earlier it was a .30-06 anyway? That might not even reach 10,000 yards, I think the farthest I've heard is 6000.

  • @kalzx post a video thats the only way someone will believe u becasue a 30-06 will not go 8 miles u must be shooting from the sky for it to go 8 miles

  • sounds better than it dose in call of duty

  • Ya untill you sholder is dislocated that A BMG.

  • lol then you'll be stuck with call of duty

  • Funny.. but I have shot .50 BMG's at the range for abought 2 years.

  • cool

  • fuck this gun sounds awesome!

  • tracer round?

  • google it

  • that is the coolest range ive ever seen.

  • thats crazy how much that arcs

  • yer larger calibres do that cause there heavy but yer i think its amazing u wouldnt expect it to curve that much

  • no "friendly fire" shots in the back, it goes over the point man's head. But just in case, make sure the point man "volunteer" in the squad's least needed or liked!

  • cool

  • haha working in the butts sucks, its cool listening to rounds hitting the bullet catcher. Mainly the machine guns, lol.

  • 2:03 seconds... awsome

  • haha i think its crazy that there are acctually pple down range manning the target your shooting at

  • That's how the Camp Pendleton ranges are run. Although, they are only set up at 200, 300, and 500 yards, it shortens training time for Marines down from weeks to days. Of course, after(or before, depending on your platoon) you shoot, you get to run the pits for the other platoons.

  • Don't forget we also snap in for one week before our week on the range. It's all about BRASS and the FRONT SIGHT BLADE. Ahrooah!

God Bless Presley, Smedley and Chesty.

    Semper Fi

  • It's weird looking at a ballistics table for this round. It's about 32.5 in high at 100 yards, peaks at about 525 yard at 106.1 in (8.85 ft!), falls to dead on at 1000 yds. It also still has over 5500 ft lbs of energy left, or about as much as an elephant gun at point blank. Amazing guns these fifties! Thanks for the video, favorited, 5/5 and subscribed.

  • I`d be interested to know what your interpretation of "point blank" is.

  • I think an Elephant gun has more than 5500ft/lb of energy mate!

  • yet this has near 12,000....

  • Wow! A place that has pits! Very nice! Few places have that anymore!

  • Reach out and touch someone.

And send them to hell to meet their 72 virgins.

  • YEEEEEESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!

and the more of them that meet those virgins the better!!!

  • that gunsound makes my skin look like a plucked chicken

  • Dammit! Wanted to hear what one of those .50 cals sound like on the receiving end. Probably a pretty healthy SNAP

  • Do a search, there's some video on YT with sheep being blown to bits, literally many huge chunks.

  • woah man that thing did curve, awesome :p

  • i think i just came watching the bullet curve and hit

  • when i was in the Royal marine cadets(uk) we spent a week in catterick garrison where i was shooting the SA80. British army has loads of these types of ranges. Great fun.

  • lol that was awsome! XD

  • god damn, just seeing that bullet flying through the air you can only imagine what it would be like if it hit you.

    haha .50 cals are crazy.

  • tracer

  • awesome! video =p

  • wow, someone said the m82a1 wasnt accurate

  • well, they're shooting about 1.5 MOA. That's not very accurate. There are rifles that shoot 0.25 MOA.

  • thats cool.....i saw a 50 cal. rifle at my local gun store, they are sweet

  • about $2,000-3,000

  • Barrett M82A1 = $9000.

    Barrett M-107 = $11000.

    Barrett 99/95 = $3500-4500.

  • are you retarded thats an advanced weapon try 10k for the gun

  • More like 8000 for a semiautomatic .50 BMG

  • haha not 3000$ try like 10000$

  • 1:12. sweet

  • Nice guys real cool when you call them

  • De bullet go up, the bullet go down.

  • I want to be TJ when I grow up...

  • Our range just banned all .50 BMG due to a real genius sending round after round down range into the concrete support. $30k worth of damage and now anyone with a .50 can not shoot.

I guess paying $10k for a sweet rifle doesn't mean the guy behind it has INTEL.

  • Kick ass. Now, where is Tiger Valley?

  • ive had to do this in army cadets with 7.62's at 900m

  • oh yeah, i live that barret sound.

  • yuou live that sound lol?

  • love-.-

  • I wonder what it sounds like in the pit when a 50 is flying over.

  • lol, looks really like when you shoot whit sniper in cod4...

  • dang that gun's bullet was slow,,

  • tracer ammo dumbass

  • Does tracer ammo make the bullet actually slow down? I thought it was the same type of bullet just illuminated so the naked eye can see it travel. Am I incorrect in thinking this?

  • actualy...a tracer is some type of powder on the end of the bullet that will catch a small fire and glow.. i dont see how that could slow it down. i dont think it does, maybe do some reasearch??

    Tyler

  • no tracers do not slow the bullet down. they may affect accuracy because the burning compound affects the air flow around the bullet. it looks slow because the bullet is traveling such a far distance. this is a 1000 yard range. a mile is 1760.

  • No, it's not. If you estimate 1000 yards in two seconds, it's over one thousand miles per hour.

  • What happened to the shot at 2:05 ?

  • A surprisingly large percentage of high velocity bullets will ricochet, even when fired into a soft dirt berm. Tracer rounds make this phenomenon visible.

  • Oh wow, is that dangerous when firing at a range? I assume there are safety features that don't allow the bullets to "bounce" back at the shooter?

  • No duh, who would work there if getting shot was apart of it?

  • Good point, lol.

  • So impressive!

  • y he used the 50 caliber ? to be challenge, he should use the m24 instead of the 50 cal.....

  • That is 1 nasty weapon.

  • Great way to earn some money m8 !

  • nerds

  • you obviosly only play video games, and have never even fired a bb gun

  • WDF a bullet CRUVES?!

  • Yes, welcome to planet earth, say hi to Mr Gravity. Also it's spelled C-U-R-V-E =)

  • My GOD I absolutely love the sound of Barret! Sweeeet video!

  • Those Barrett's are one sweet piece of weaponry. If only I had an extra 8 grand laying around :-(

  • Thanks for sharing!

  • Always amazes me how much drop a .50 cal has

  • oh my god u can see the bullet!! haha

  • thats cool! thanks for sharing guys

  • In a way..I do miss my M82..then in a way I don't

  • wouldnt want to be the guy in the pit

  • All I have to say is that you would want ear protection. I was in the pit at a 600 yrd competition for an ineration and when a .308 goes by, the sonic boom really kills your ears! Even the .223 hurt a bit. I can only imagine a .50 call! Ouch!

  • i never heard the 5.56mm fly by the pit at under 300 yards. i could hear some gun shots in the distance. but i honestly don't remember hearing any super sonic noise flying overhead.
