If you want a skunk, first move to a state where they are legal. Then get one from a licensed skunk breeder. That way, you'll have a descented, and TAMED skunk that won't revert to its wild nature and start acting as such.

I went through the same thing. I raised an orphan for about 6 weeks before finding a rehabber in the next province who would take her (not legal in mine). So I drove 8 hours with her to give her to a rehabber who took over and set her free at the end of summer. It's been 3 months and I'm still heartbroken. Good job!
