Well like when it says "have me confused with some other guy" and it shows Shooter, that was pretty cool because Shooter is Rainey. Then when it says "call me on the phone" and it's the conversation between Amy & Mort. and the "plans coming crashing down" when Mort busts in on Ted & Amy. I think it all makes perfect sense. He timed it just right. You have seen the movie, right?
