You may make improper judgements which can harm not only yourself but other people. I agree with this punishment, it is not severe and it does not make you waste your time in jail, which also wastes people's resources since they would need to feed you and give you shelter in jail.
1 in 20 deaths across the world are a direct result to alcahol. Why would people even want to drink this drug, it can get you addicted and it wastes your money. You could be feeding other people or you could be spending it on something that doesn't have a chance to harm you and other people.

I have many Muslim friends that fast during ramadan, and show their faith in lots of ways, but l am telling you they are always asking me to go to the pub to have a beer with them, especially on Fridays after work. I feel this woman is trying to attract media attention by saying that she is willing to go ahead with the caning. Prison is reserved only for major crimes. You would be suprised the crime in malaysia is very low in comparison to the United States and people are better behaved and more disciplined. no one gets permanent damage or killed by lashing.
