zippos are guarenteed for life. you only need mail it in for free repair. it's never broken and if unrepairable then they replace with an equivelant new one. remember to mark a note saying if unrepairable to return if of sentimental value. you broke that lighter kipkay :)

They sell inserts for flashlights for a couple bucks. It would cost less than buying a soldering iron a dremel liquid electrical tape batteries LEDs switch etc and would function better. However, I still respect your skill.
