@G7130 I also switched sides for reason like this! I now own a 2010 F-150 FX4 and it's far and away superior to my 2008 Silverado LTZ in every way. I'm taking delivery of my 2011 FX4 with 5.0 V8 late November and I can tell you you're making a good decision.
@nonamejoe56 yep i have put lots of miles on chevys. i have put more miles on a chevy then any other brand. and still own some. my main complaint is that IFS that you have to upgrade right away to sled pull in stock or mildly modded class, the Dmax is a V8 and don't last all that long, the 2 trannys i have had to rebuild with less the 100,000 on the 04 truck, the Tcase has to have a kit put in it to keep it from eating its self apart, the 5 engines in 3 years in a 84 suburbin and the 2 trannys

My dad has ran synthetic oil in the tranny in is 03 Chev Silverado and changed it every 75,000km. He has 400,000km of his truck with original transmission. I have a 01 F150 that has 250kms on my truck, I have put synthetic and Lucas wear guard every 6kms and the original engine runs like new.

My friend has a 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 heavy duty truck, he blew up the transfer case in it at 120,000kms in a school zone not pulling anything. He also blew up two rear diffs. This is why I drive a Ford, never had a problem with it except the clutch and flat tires. Both the new chev trucks are pretty nice to drive,

I know a guy who has something like 320k on his ford original engine, he used synthetic oil, 6x fram filters, and put lucas in it and changed it frequently. My dad killed a f150 engine that had 120k on it because he beat the shit out of it.

Well, actually the coil springs don't appear to hamper the capability's on the Ram, and the fact that the Cummins diesel is the single most reliable engine available in any truck. I've had fords, I've owned five of them, but I'd rather just keep driving my 318 W150 that just doesn't want to quit.

I can't remember the last time I saw a first generation Grand Am, first generation Escort/Tracer, first generation Intrepid, first generation Cavalier/Sunbird, any year Celebrity, Tempo/Topaz, K-car, Pontiac 6000, Skyhawk, Skylark, Expo/LN-7 and many others. I used to have a '95 Corsica. JUNK! Had 45,000 miles on it when I bought it. 88,000 miles on it when I traded it in on a new Accord in '02. Blown head gasket, fuel pump replaced twice, neutral saftey switch replaced, control arms bad, turn signal broke, center consolse broke, catalytic converter plugged, and was hard to start. Don't tell me GMs are built to a higher standard. I've had other GMs and a Ford. All were junk. You can keep your garbage. The Honda has 93,000 miles and never broke.

Well, actually the coil springs don't appear to hamper the capability's on the Ram, and the fact that the Cummins diesel is the single most reliable engine available in any truck. I've had fords, I've owned five of them, but I'd rather just keep driving my 318 W150 that just doesn't want to quit.

Silverado has less features and options than the Ram and F-150 and Chevy actually advertises this. Who's the dumbass running their ad department? People think that is ok. If Chevy wants to advertise the Silverado as a man's truck, it should not have used a metrosexual Breck girl. How many GM, Ford, and Chrysler cars or trucks do you see on the road from the 1980's or early 90's? Not many because they are junk. They don't last. I still see a lot of old Hondas and Toyotas on the road. I have an old Honda. The car just won't die. Over 231,000 miles on it. The engine and transmission will out last the body. I've owned GMs and a Ford. You can have them. I might buy a newer Ford, IF the quality is better than on earlier ones. But never a GM. I don't trust GM. Complete garbage.

You can't even spell. I rarely see GMs, Fords, and Chrsyler cars from the '80s and early '90s. I see some of their trucks, but very rarely their cars. I can't remember the last time I saw a first generation Grand Am, first generation Escort/Tracer, first generation Intrepid, first generation Cavalier/Sunbird, any year Celebrity, Tempo/Topaz, K-car, Pontiac 6000, Skyhawk, Skylark, Expo/LN-7 and many others. I still see a lot of Hondas and Toyotas from that time frame.

GMs are made to a high standard is about the funniest thing I ever heard. Which one? Grand Ams/Calais's/Achievas? The Quad 4 is one of the worst engines ever made. Constant major engine problems every 30,000 miles. Most people that owned one had the head gasket blow. They can't be rebuilt either.The cyclinder walls are too thin to bore out to get rid of the scratches, which is common to do during a rebuild.

I used to have a '95 Corsica. JUNK! Had 45,000 miles on it when I bought it. 88,000 miles on it when I traded it in on a new Accord in '02. Blown head gasket, fuel pump replaced twice, neutral saftey switch replaced, control arms bad, turn signal broke, center consolse broke, catalytic converter plugged, and was hard to start. Don't tell me GMs are built to a higher standard. I've had other GMs and a Ford. All were junk. You can keep your garbage. The Honda has 93,000 miles and never broke.
