I really think I have this... I have all the symptoms, but Im so terrified of going to the doctor.. Does anyone have advice? I just don't know what to do..
I was diagnosed with this at 17. I was put on a low dose birth control and I've gotten a lot better. My body hair is thinning, my cysts haven't come back, and my hormone level is normal. When I got checked out for PCOS, my testosterone was over three times above normal. I wish the best of luck to you, ladies.
Great Video KEEP IT UP I've been using OVULATION PREDICTOR TEST KIT for a long time and I still get butterflies when that little smiley shows his face. :) I got one from the internet by searching on Google HOME CHECK OVULATION KIT it was great!
Hey guys!!! I had my follow up check up, I am trying to loose weight and it works, Now I am on a regular medication, to reduce my prolactin level, and metformin tablet.I was also on Provera to regulate my menstruation cycle. So far, my period is getting better.I am on diet and , my work also help me to reduce weight, because we are busy in our Unit, Doing nursing care to patients...I weighed 86 kg before, now I am on 80.4kg, my gyne doctor told me to reduce more...I am still hoping for the best.
can someone tell me do you have a hair in you stomach, legs, and face, i suffer from pcos what i do to get rid the hair... and when get cure does the hair minimize on the body please help me..
I am 26 and I have this PCOS too..I was been diagnosed 5-6 years ago. i have been told that there is a possibility that I could not get pregnant. I'm depressed, I'm not getting any younger.I have a good job, and a boyfriend that Loves me.I told Him already, and he understands., But still, it is depressing.I had my hormones weeks ago, still waiting for my Doctor to interpret the results! I am still hoping for the best!
@angelnizel I was wondering can you still have this even if you get your period every month? because I have acne and I have chin hair...I thought I have the acne becausie I exercise a lot but I still have chin hair as well...what do you think this is? do you think it's PCOS?
@DieBlobb Don't feel like that! It's important people realise PCOS affects approximately 5-10 % of women. And it can be dealt with. There is no reason to feel like your life is worthless, at all.
I have PCOS and CELIAC DISEASE, the most undiagnosed and easily treated disease that causes stomach problems. PROBIOTICS, GLUTEN FREE AND a SIMPLE BLOOD TEST CAN TELL YOU demand the blood test. Other symptoms under or over weight, various gastric complaints, IBS, constipation, diarrhea, abdominal pain and bloating. Anemia, Crohns, PCOS, gastric ulcers, parasitic infection skin disorders, nerves, numbness in arms and legs: all COULD BE CELIAC!
funnily enough, we all here wanna have kids. but our chances are low . "NOT" imposible~ i have 12 on my right side and it swells up bigger then my uterus.
i was diagnosed with pcos about 3 months ago im 18 and i have always wished 2 have kids.. my doctor told me i still could but it would just be harder for me but with help it shoukd be no problem..well i cry about it all of the time because i dnt feel normal just because of that is just upsetting!!!
my doctor just told me yesterday that i may have this. im praying to God that i don't, but at the same time, i wonder what then all my symptoms may really be? :c i have about 90% of the symptoms TT_TT
I was actually just diagnosed with pcos yesterday and I have to go back to the gyno to get put on birth control. I don't know what the future holds for me but I hope I can lose the weight I desperately need to lose and still have a baby someday soon.
@jbmusic21 Tell the doctor you are getting very depressed and you are too self concious to leave the house. You'll get it done on the NHS then if you live in the UK. Also say it is causing you discomfort.
I was Diagnosed with PCOS at the age of 10 and was immediately put on birth control, now at the age of 20 while still taking birth control I feel each day is a miracle but also some kind of torture all at once. For example,My weight its a never ending battle and as I got older I dreamed of kids but with PCOS infertility and miscarriages scare me .But I will not let PCOS define who I am .. I will have the life and the family I dreamed about when I was young.
I was told by a Dr. when I was 10 yrs old that I had a "fat womans disease and wont be able to have babies"... yeah, at 10 yrs old. Of course he didnt tell me what was and didn't find out until I self-diagnosed after reading a magazine article about PCOS than went to a different Dr. and told him "This is what I have.. what can I do to fix it". He also formally diagnosed me with it at that time.
i was diagosned with this when i was 16 and now i am 17 every girl gets their period in school and i feel left out i hate losing my head hair its so annoying and i feel tired , sad and with no energy
@TheMaidofmist.changing your lifestyle helps a lot..i.e. eating low GI food, lots of veggies and some fruit.stay away from white flour and sugar! The main cause for pcos is insulin resistance, so check if you have that.a great supplement is inositol, which is also found in some vegetables but we are often too careless to eat healthy so this works fine..also take a good natural source multivitamin; vitex, licorice, dong quai can lower androgen lvls, while dandelion clears the liver.
I have this and it's so fucking annyoing! Especially the loosing and getting hair in UNWANTED places! Does anyone know some sort of medicine to stop the growing of hair of hair in unwanted places??? I'm on Metformin I think, but it doesn't seem to help with that! Someone please help! Fuckin Totosterone!
My doctor put my on spironolact to help with acne and to help reduce the appearance of the hair and help to prevent further growth. I have been on it for 6 months so far and haven't really noticed any difference yet! :(
I was told i had PCOS at 13, was told i was unlikely to ever have children at 15. Its horrible, people really dont understand it. I am now 24 and desperately wanting children, any suggesstions??
I found out i have this one week ago and that explains why took for me 6 months to get pregnant and after my 1st took more than 3 years for my 2nd baby and 4 years from the 2nd to the 3rd, i got an IUD Paragard and i still got pregnant with my baby girl after 1 year using the copper T and the Dr. just told me that i have this syndrome so i am so lucky i guess i got 2 boys and 1 girl!!!!!
i have PCOS also. I was told io had it when i was 19 that was 13 yrs ago. I hope someday i will be able to have a baby. Im going to try Metformin again. Its so hard!
i had it since god knows when i had a six inch cyst removed when i was 14. it was so pain full they told me then it was not a chance that I could have a baby. I had my daughter at 19 with no problems. but I lost alot of weight before i got pregnant. And that helped. Good Luck ladies. They don't know what we go thru.
its not about getting them removed i dont think thats an option. iv been surrefering for two years now and i too would like to have children. there is a tablat called metformin which diabetic people take this tablet has been prescribed by doctors to various people and they have got pregnant about a year after taking the tablets. but the tablet as far as i know does not work for every body.
