honestly, nothing's changed about the song at all, nothing's *remixed*!

it's just got an annoying background and squeaky, headache-inducing background, and all original background vocals that made the song make sense/made it humorous are almost inaudible.

gc is just trying some new stuff. that's a good thing, right? it's different than their old style, but if they try something new, it gives them a chance to show other qualities. no matter what, i still love GC. in my eyes they're still that same amazing band they were 10 years ago.

Ok...I don' see why everyone's so "omg this sux" about the remixes...yeah, their old stuff was way vetter, but maybe they wanted to have some fun with THEIR songs...just because they remixed them doesn't mean their any les of a band. They're still the best in my opinion. Sure not all the remixes are that great, but some of them are pretty good. SO stop complaining...if you don't like them, don't listen to them...some people are getting tired of the insults to the band and their songs...

This song was amazing on its own and their is nothin wrong with remixing your old stuff if you do it right. A good example of that is Linkin park's Reanimation album. But this is just a travesty.

I listened to the remix album with an open mind, and I liked most of it (over half of it at least was really good... especially the new songs!) but I absolutely cannot bring myself to listen to this track. It's really annoying with the same annoying little melody playing in the background and the irritating chipmunk voice... this remix is absolutely terrible. I'm not anti what GC is doing on the remix album or anything, just this remix is sooo bad.

I actually really liked the remix for The Anthem, but I have the clean version so I don't have to listen to the swearing :P The rapping is pretty funny aha. The Hold On cover is nothing special anyway, so you're not really missing out by not listening to it. I expected better from The Academy Is... than what they did with it.
