Nice tutorial for introducing diagonal planes. The diagonal antispinning pirouettes did take a while to get them correctly in plane, it feels weird at first but I guess it helps to practice a lot of antispin in horizontal plane first and then just tilt the plane.
Interesting to say the least Zan, I've been playing around with a CAP variation. When doing the extension vs 1 petal anti-spin CAP. You have the choice of pro-spinning vs 1 petal anti-spin. But if offset the timing you can overlap the pro-spin that comes towards your chest and the antispin that goes away from your chest simultaneously.
Brilliant as Always !!!...The thing I love about your vidz is the way u explain easly ,relaxed but on the other hand firm, energic and in a way that everybody can understand.....thanks 4 sharing.....
PS: anyway when is the new Enciclo-Poi-dia comming out ,can't wait to have a new Bible to decode!!!!
thanks for sharing, as usual =)

what kind of poi are you using? did you make these sock poi yourself and if so what is inside used for weight? thanks Zan
jhopperyoung2334 2 years ago
Yes, I made them. The poi body is OG cotton from the fabric store. The weight is rice sewed into its own little fabric pocket.

Thanks for sharing this video - I think the idea of bending the buzzsaw make it much easier to get this thing in a dance theory.
Till now I just said - "hey this is also possible" but now I know how to get in them much better - Thank you for that so much.
Hope to see you next year again in europe maybe at the ejc?
And thank you so much that the Brezel-CAP gets to use too much - nice to hear that more people then just me think like that.
