  • Tim....I just realized you existed......talks about our media. You just made me feel something I have not felt in a while.......hope.

  • Tim ..thank you

  • Our corrupt system incarcerates the heroes, while the real criminals are running this country into the ground!

    When will Americans rise up?

    I am OUTRAGED! Aren't you?

  • Comment removed

  • just let him free people come on. he's not a criminal

  • What a boss.

  • Thank YOU, Tim.

  • 1:58 - 2:08 he sounds like obama

  • I just learnt about Tim from Ana & Cenk.

Good man, Tim, God bless him.

  • Thank you Tim! Many generations to come will thank you.

  • Thanks for raising awareness about the slanted government policy. Ya, he's guilty, but the law is wrong.

  • how many years did he get?

  • @romerojuan60 Two years and a $10,000 fine.

  • If Tim goes to prison, it is our duty as free conscious citizens to revolutionize this country. In solidarity, thank you Tim.

  • <3 you are not alone .

  • Too bad the idiot jury members convicted him! Did anybody do FIJA outreach at this trail?

  • Tim deChristopher, you are inspiring! It is from such courageous actions, such as yours, so strongly rooted in values and vision that brings hope to us all. Your view of an environment healthy enough for the next generation and their children after them, is right on! God bless you! Stay strong! We are with you!

  • He eloquently presents the mind we need to foster. Inspiring.

  • Some explanation of what the video is about would be helpful! Plenty of people will come to this page without knowing who this is or what exactly happened ---- like me!

  • @CrookdRiverWmn google his name and you will see that this man has stood up for nature and the voices of many who cant (for what ever reason) Spread the word : )

  • @mumonthemove Of course I can Google his name. I shouldn't have to. There should be a short explanation in the text box with a link to a campaign website for action and info. YouTube now offers options for nonprofits to get donations right from their video pages too. I've spent 20+ years hearing activists complain about how few people pay attention, or how there's too much "preaching to the choir." Well, this video posting is a prime example of a missed organizing opportunity.

  • @CrookdRiverWmn Good point -Well said and l do agree with you especially with a new link- l jus happened to know who he was.... and l google alot !!!!! BUT l'm guessing alot are like me and just learning and fumbling their way around in cyber space ..... btw hope your fighting the good fight and winning : )

p.s just where is this crooked river ? ( like the name )

  • @mumonthemove Thanks! You too (re good fight)! I normally Google everything, but we need to capture people's attention quickly and not expect them to work to understand our point. I tweet nonprofit "how to" tips and progressive organizing updates specifically because activists need to be more effective. (@tracymoavero) Crooked River is the Cuyahoga River in Cleveland. Cuyahoga is the Native word for "crooked." The river curves back and forth in a snakelike pattern.

  • @CrookdRiverWmn will google it- LOL ... and see where your heart resides : )

Blessings from a little seaside town in Australia .... p.s are you following the GM debate

"millions against monsanto " there are rallies very soon all over the states !

  • @mumonthemove Thanks for the lovely message! Didn't know you're in Australia. Loved visiting good friends in Adelaide and around SA. Worked in Geneva and NYC with anti-nuclear and women's rights activists from all over Oz. Got to meet Jo Vallentine, former Senator from WA, and Jacqui Katona from the campaign to stop the uranium mine at Jabiluka. This is all a while back when I did international work. Lots of great work Down Under! p.s. The Cuyahoga River is lovely now that it's not burning!

  • @mumonthemove Will watch for Monsanto rallies. Don't know how any exec from that company sleeps at night. Thanks for the heads up! Now I might go watch an Adam Hills video before turning in for the night.

  • What an enormous, egregious travesty of justice... of our fundamental duties to protect America's natural resources and to protest in ways that combat the rising tide of private-interest greed, manipulation and subversion of the public commons. A dark day in the history of Utah! If that state's citizens don't rise up to support this local (even national) hero, and find a way to overturn this, then shame on Utah.

  • Thank you, friend. Our hearts are with you.

  • Thank you Chris! We stand with you always! We will keep fighting, and you will join us back on the front lines soon!

  • God Bless this man.

  • Tim DeChristopher has proven that mass direct action must play a bigger role if we are to truly end this continuing injustice. "History suggests, in other words, that one way to effectively communicate both to the general public and to our leaders the urgency of the crisis is to put our bodies on the line." Let us be the rising tide of our generation, so that future generations can look back and say "thank-you"!

  • EVERY INCH OF WHAT A REAL HERO IS ABOUT!!!! I urge you all to write this young man and reinforce his words...he is NOT a finger...we are with him and will not forget him.

  • Tim, Thank you.

  • awesome!

  • I think at times I must be alone day after day getting the word out about how corrupt men are STEALING as much as they can and killing us with their pollution. But then I am reminded by the protesters in Wisconsin and by activists like Tim to keep going. I implore my facebook, myspace and twitter friends not to blow off the action alerts to read the articles to find out what goes on behind closed doors and to understand just exactly what Tim is saying in this video and to join the fight.

  • Tim, we're with you. IMAGINE if our President or any world leader had your courage and conviction.

  • Thank you Chris!!!! I hope many, many, many other working-class Americans young and old follow your direct-action example. We need it in all these 'industrialised' nations as badly as Tunisia, Egypt, Bahrain and all the rest-- probably even more! Yes, there are those of us who already fight. But there are far more who have bought in to the lie that they can do nothing. Power can be resisted, and everyone who subverts that power-- especially cleverly, as you have-- has my undying respect. Fist!!

  • Courageous young man. And all the more incredible when you consider that he is fighting a cause wholly for the benefit of others, not himself. Gandhi, MLK, Ken Saro Wira, all these individuals were directly affected by the injustices they fought. Not so young Americans like Tim. This is pure conscience. Tim, thanks for the inspiration. I hope you are free again soon to rejoin the struggle.

  • @terrificpaul ... with all due respect to Tim, social activism isn't a some type of competition as you portray it.

  • thank you for rising up and protecting utah's natural beauty tim, so that others may enjoy it for generations to come.
