@BeeroHeero I'm sorry if I offended you. It was a compliment i thought you overlooked. Awesome in my book. Gex is a cool lizard, okay, gekko. He has been zapped into the TV by an evil guy called Rez. Gex is (like Mario from Super Mario bros) has to go through levels upon levels based on cheesy tv shows. And before and AFTER each level he'll say out a one-liner (voice by Dana Gould). Like in China, he will say "My name is Kane, I seek water" (in reference to Kung Fu the tv show)

Some are hilarious, while many ore just ho-ums or plain out boring. It is TRULY a fun game. IF you have a PS or PS3 (download it form PSN), you get for either. It can even be downloaded to your PSP. You can look up some more videos of this awesome game.

You never beat Rodan!?!??! Wow! That level was hard, but NOTHING compared to Rez's level. You have to tail bounce off bubbles coming out of the acid to get across part of a level. Oh my GAWD!!! That level is all TIMING and SKILL with a WHOLE LOT OF LUCK!! I'll try to record it for you guys some day, okay? Xbox360 Rock Band is eating my time.
This game is still fun as it is. It would be nice to see a 3DO emulator on the new systems, but the 3DO is still the best system to play this game on.
The 3DO version is by far the BEST as it was made for that console. I did not care for the Playstation version as they did not make the controls works well on that system at all for some odd reason. Glad you liked the video.

There was a game saving interface, you HAD to find a VIDEO CASSETTE to RECORD your progress. I played the PSX version and it sucked to me, though it was an exact copy of the 3DO version. The controls were just yucky!

Its not that it was terrible, but i was seven and this game couldnt compete with Gex 2 and Crash bandicoot. Which i bought all 3 within 3 months of each other
How can you say that? Gex was released on 3DO in 1996 and Crashbandicoot was released on PSX in 2001. Gex was ALSO released on PSX later and thought it was the same game it sucked (to me) on PSX, but ROCKED on 3DO!! Major controls Difference!!

Yeh, GEX is one of Favorites games on the 3DO. Funny, full of old school puzzles and graphics and sound!! The leve you had a hard time with, was it the one with acid bubbles you had to spring bounce on?
Yeah I remember that being a pain the butt. I think it was some part of that level near the exit where there was flying televisions and blocks you had to climb upside down on. I never knew you could press up and hit the attack button to break the blocks to get to the television. I was glad, but dumbfounded when I actually beat the level.
You played through TV Land WITHOUT knowing you can lash your tail up or down? WOW!!! Well, i accidentally formatted my hard drive losing all my games' progress. "Start OVER". Road Rash - dang it, I gotta start over.

I have this for the Saturn and Playstation. If I ever played the 3D0 version, it was a LONG time ago.
The Playstation version has a few nice effects the Saturn one was missing.
