I think my favorite dungeons in this game were definitely the Daedric ruins... SOO creepy. The Dwemer ones had a certain mystery in them that was rivaled even the Daedric dungeons tho... God I love Morrowind :)

i don't know about you guys but i played this game for a few hundred hours before oblivion came out. when i heard they were making a 4th elder scrolls i almost had a heart attack and i couldn't believe that bethesda managed to make the greatest game in existence. the last thing on my mind was "well if i told people i liked morrowind more they would think i am cool because old games are cooler than new ones." well let me tell you guys something: Morrowind=Oblivion

Morrowind has to be the best RPG ever made in my opinion but playing the new games such as oblivion, crysis and modern warfare makes morrowind feel a bit stiff and you have a harder time forgiving the games flaws. I played morrowind for over a year and the game just got more fun as the time went :D Love the dam game!

@drowmetal Try the game stock the first time around. Eventually, if your rig is up to it, get MGE and some other crucial mods. Just one modder's suggestions.
i think why people love morrowind more then oblivion is because morrowind where the first RPG that where that big with that many options and a danm good grafic of its time.. but playing oblivion is like alot of RPG's its not as new and fresh as morrowind where. i loved morrowind. and played it abit to much if ya ask my friends :)

I disagree, Oblivion had multiple climates too- Snowy Bruma, Swampy Leyawiin, Forested Chorrol, Anvil's epic coastlines etc.
But yeah I agree about the cultures- in Morrowind there were quite a few cultures- ashlanders, Telvanni, Hlaalu, Redoran, Temple worshippers etc. Then again Cyrodiil is generally a more mixed and cosmopolitan place so there are less cultural boundaries (In Morrowind a lot of the factions stayed seperate due to them hating each other).
There will be a never ending debate of which is better, MW or OB.
MW is an amazing game. It wins in atmosphere, storyline, modding community ( because of their ability to produce high quality quests which cant be done as much in OB due to the need for voice acting.)
OB is a great game because of the combat, its a TES game , and is geared to a wide audience.
For both of them, quality mods enhances the game immensely, the dev's knew this would happen, thus the construction set.
Ah Morrowind :) Back When Deadric and glass were rare and places were dangerous until you leveled. Such great story with, lots and lots mystical creatures and places. Comparatively speaking oblivion is a pile of shit :)
Great video and music! Morrowind was (and still is) an awesome Elder Scrolls game, worthy of play today, even though Oblivion is available. I'd recommend people to buy the combo back that includes the two expansions with it. It's cheap today, so you should definitely pick this up. Kudos to Kaseven!
The planet is called Nirn, the continent is called Tamriel and Morrowind is one of the nine provinces of Tamriel. So yes, of course Tamriel is way bigger than Morrowind.
Just Google "continents of Nirn" and you will learn what the other continents are. Did you know that one of the other continents (Akavir) is going to play a huge role in The Elder Scrolls 5 (Skyrim)?

eh i might as well comment, even though I didn't read most of yours. I think oblivion is amazingly awesome, with so much improvement over morrowind. But oblivion just doesn't have as much exploration involved. It doesn't have the obscurity and the amount of un-guided treasures and stories to find. The majority of exciting things were story or quest related. Over all oblivion had wayy less gameplay in it. That said, I do have an unhealthy amount of hours in that game (>~350hrs).
on a rpg more is better, it is a part of what makes morrowind a epic rpg, make it less and it turns into a noob console adventure like oblivion. more is better for hardore RPG fans, more choice,more customisation more freedom = more gameplay...simple.

Excellent video first of all. But... let's be unbiased for a moment and acknowledge oblivion as the superior of the two. While granted Oblivion lacks the depth of Morrowind, it more than makes up for it in numerous ways.
Story/Depth/Gameplay/Content were all improved, except for the story. I don't know how you can live with yourself thinking Morrowind had better gameplay than Oblivion. For one, the random combat, two, the easy to exploit glitches, three, unbalanced spells, and four, CLIFF RACERS. As far as content goes, they did remove a couple things, like some spells, and merged a couple skills together, but they added horses and physics, which make up for it, IMO.
Bah...any of the few things Oblivion did right, they did because they saw it modded into Morrowind. And if by chance Morrowind modders missed something...well, it was added into Morrowind after Oblivion came out.
You're just buying into Bethesda's weak "No! We took out things players liked to make it BETTER!" propaganda...that or you work for Bethesda. Either way, there's no point in discussing this further.
REAL fans of the Elder Scrolls know that Oblivion was absolute fail.

It doesn't look as good even with all the mods, and it runs much slower. I agree though, that the PC version is better, but I have Morrowind and Oblivion for my computer and modded-Morrowind has much more trouble running than plain Oblivion.

I've never really been a Morrowind player, mainly since I didn't really know that much about the Elder Scrolls series until I started hearing about Oblivion started getting kinda close.
I played through Oblivion and absolutely loved it. I've did almost every quest in the game and still like to play it.
But watching videos like this and reading other people's comments really shocks me that Morrowind is viewed as such a better game. I'm gonna go out soon and buy a copy for my 360
Morrowind was so great because of the pc community, Bethesda provided the skeleton, and the amazing story line / world & hundreds of quests.. But in combination with TES III Construction Set, And Morrowinds PC community.. Thats what made it amazing

Morrowind has to be the best RPG ever made in my opinion but playing the new games such as oblivion, crysis and modern warfare makes morrowind feel a bit stiff and you have a harder time forgiving the games flaws. I played morrowind for over a year and the game just got more fun as the time went :D Love the dam game!

Seriously people what's with the Morrowind vs. Oblivion comments? Both games were made by Bethesda, both are very good games and stories of both games revolves in the same planet and continent! And those comments like Morrowind is better because the main quest is more interesting and there's more stuff to do and Oblivion is better because of the graphics... seriously. So f***ing what!? Both Morrowind and Oblivion are amazing games and unique in their own ways. Both has pluses and minuses.

i think why people love morrowind more then oblivion is because morrowind where the first RPG that where that big with that many options and a danm good grafic of its time.. but playing oblivion is like alot of RPG's its not as new and fresh as morrowind where. i loved morrowind. and played it abit to much if ya ask my friends :)

I disagree, Oblivion had multiple climates too- Snowy Bruma, Swampy Leyawiin, Forested Chorrol, Anvil's epic coastlines etc.
But yeah I agree about the cultures- in Morrowind there were quite a few cultures- ashlanders, Telvanni, Hlaalu, Redoran, Temple worshippers etc. Then again Cyrodiil is generally a more mixed and cosmopolitan place so there are less cultural boundaries (In Morrowind a lot of the factions stayed seperate due to them hating each other).

There will be a never ending debate of which is better, MW or OB.
MW is an amazing game. It wins in atmosphere, storyline, modding community ( because of their ability to produce high quality quests which cant be done as much in OB due to the need for voice acting.)
OB is a great game because of the combat, its a TES game , and is geared to a wide audience.
For both of them, quality mods enhances the game immensely, the dev's knew this would happen, thus the construction set.

Ah Morrowind :) Back When Deadric and glass were rare and places were dangerous until you leveled. Such great story with, lots and lots mystical creatures and places. Comparatively speaking oblivion is a pile of shit :)

Great video and music! Morrowind was (and still is) an awesome Elder Scrolls game, worthy of play today, even though Oblivion is available. I'd recommend people to buy the combo back that includes the two expansions with it. It's cheap today, so you should definitely pick this up. Kudos to Kaseven!

The planet is called Nirn, the continent is called Tamriel and Morrowind is one of the nine provinces of Tamriel. So yes, of course Tamriel is way bigger than Morrowind.

eh i might as well comment, even though I didn't read most of yours. I think oblivion is amazingly awesome, with so much improvement over morrowind. But oblivion just doesn't have as much exploration involved. It doesn't have the obscurity and the amount of un-guided treasures and stories to find. The majority of exciting things were story or quest related. Over all oblivion had wayy less gameplay in it. That said, I do have an unhealthy amount of hours in that game (>~350hrs).

on a rpg more is better, it is a part of what makes morrowind a epic rpg, make it less and it turns into a noob console adventure like oblivion. more is better for hardore RPG fans, more choice,more customisation more freedom = more gameplay...simple.

Excellent video first of all. But... let's be unbiased for a moment and acknowledge oblivion as the superior of the two. While granted Oblivion lacks the depth of Morrowind, it more than makes up for it in numerous ways.

Story/Depth/Gameplay/Content were all improved, except for the story. I don't know how you can live with yourself thinking Morrowind had better gameplay than Oblivion. For one, the random combat, two, the easy to exploit glitches, three, unbalanced spells, and four, CLIFF RACERS. As far as content goes, they did remove a couple things, like some spells, and merged a couple skills together, but they added horses and physics, which make up for it, IMO.

Bah...any of the few things Oblivion did right, they did because they saw it modded into Morrowind. And if by chance Morrowind modders missed something...well, it was added into Morrowind after Oblivion came out.
You're just buying into Bethesda's weak "No! We took out things players liked to make it BETTER!" propaganda...that or you work for Bethesda. Either way, there's no point in discussing this further.
REAL fans of the Elder Scrolls know that Oblivion was absolute fail.

I came to this video because I like Morrowind, and I am just trying to defend Oblivion, because I always see people hating on it. I usually hang out in the obscure/old gaming circles, so I don't get the feel for Oblivion fanboyism like you guys do, so I realize now I have a different perspective. I try to be neutral, though.

I would like to fully urge anyone who wants to get Morrowind on Xbox, PLEASE DONT. The modding community out there is great and produces definitely up to (and in some cases, beyond) Bethesda quality. Plus, with all the graphics mods, you'd be horribly missing out on a game that can look as good as Oblivion.

It doesn't look as good even with all the mods, and it runs much slower. I agree though, that the PC version is better, but I have Morrowind and Oblivion for my computer and modded-Morrowind has much more trouble running than plain Oblivion.

I've never really been a Morrowind player, mainly since I didn't really know that much about the Elder Scrolls series until I started hearing about Oblivion started getting kinda close.
I played through Oblivion and absolutely loved it. I've did almost every quest in the game and still like to play it.
But watching videos like this and reading other people's comments really shocks me that Morrowind is viewed as such a better game. I'm gonna go out soon and buy a copy for my 360

Morrowind was so great because of the pc community, Bethesda provided the skeleton, and the amazing story line / world & hundreds of quests.. But in combination with TES III Construction Set, And Morrowinds PC community.. Thats what made it amazing
