My problem was that it was trying to open it on a drive that couldnt open it, in my case a mac drive (E:). How I managed to do it was to search for problems on the E drive with Macdrive making it temporarely unavailable on the pc, and then the Net Framework installer ran without problem. If you have any questions just text me back. If this was not your problem at all I hope you manage to solve it.

thank you so much. I tried so many things before I watched your video, all suggestions from microsoft and sony did not help at all. After using the clean up tool I was able to install framework 3.0 from microsoft and then install sony vegas. Thank you again!!!
