trev and plow...uhm sorry you are so insecure...maybe toke another one you will feel powerfulllllllll...you say you know what Paul Mc thought while playing and writing...wow, glean us all...youre the sage...lol..
really plowboys???? lol..."must of" ????? uhm maybe "must have" would work...as in "must of" is meaningless........the world gets dumber by the minute..but yeah it's a great little song...and if youre an undeducated slob please dont try to even speak for Paul M....as if you know what he liked or did musically...god help us if you have insight....
@fuzzypige222 Where did you receive your education? It''s clear that that institution taught you nothing about sentence structure, spelling or how to coherently organize your thoughts. It's very easy to discern what Paul McCartney liked and did musically: He wrote and published what he liked musically! I hope one day you will be sufficiently educated and bestowed with the insight of a plowboy.
Thank you.On behalf of those who do not know, learn and educate. Please listen to what you want,be it Thrash......but before you go..please give Paul Mc Cartney and them Beatles too a chanche.
@sdgakatbk You are so right my friend. This is rock'n'roll and shouldn't suffer from too much analysis. Everything is in the pure joy of the gibberish. You wouldn't subject Little Richard lyrics to too much scrutiny. And there is much simple pleasure to be had in the rest of the album. It's like a breath of country air.
I've always loved this right down rocker from Paul! Don't know just what the hell he's singing, but what the hell...it sounds so damned groovy that it just don't matter! One of the few highlights on this album.
MUMBO WAS A DISCO/CLUB HIT IN NEW ORLEANS IN 1971, AS WAS LOVE IS STRANGE. THE BEATLES & McCARTNEY ALWAYS HAD THE MUSIC, AND MORE IMPORTANT, THE BEAT! THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS CLASSIC DANCE TRACK BY A GREAT BEATLE AND SOLO ARTIST (W/ LINDA & WINGS OF COURSE). DAVEDJ
I hate when people criticize Wings songs and Paul's solo songs. Like this one, just because it wasn't a hit. It's still a good song. Much better than a lot of the crap songs that are coming out today.
@MyFantazmagazzle : Obviously, it's not Mozart or Bach, It's only a Rock , like Blues, a basic and primitive music: just 3 chords. For McCartney, just a minor song.
@JapaninArmeija Are you talking about the 1993 remastered CD? Oh yeah....it sounds like CRAP! I traded mine in and bought a near mint vinyl copy, the original with the picture of Paul on side one and the one of Linda on side two for the labels. I couldn't believe how bad the remastered CD sounds! "Wild Life" is getting a lavish reissue later this year from Hear Music so the sound quality should be KICK ASS finally!
Great little song, I have not heard this in many years either brings back happy memories of when I was 16. Thanks for making it possible to hear this again!!
paul would do this method of songwriting sometimes. Have the music and the melody, Then figure out words some time later. He must of liked it like it was. Isn't that why it's called "mumbo" ? anyways GREAT SONG! hadn't heard this one in years. thanks, winston
ahaha i just for some reason love the "oohs" alot

Is it just me or does this song need John Lennon? It's the only song of McCartney's I would say screams out for lyrics and a better middle eight.

@8woldy8 No, I like it as it is.

I like this song. I also like Macarron Chacarron, so this should not be taken as high praise.

It cries for John's middle eight.

Possibly the worst Paul McCartney affiliated song I have ever heard. And he has had some REALLY bad songs.

This is a good rocker, but does it sound too quiet, somehow? I have the CD and it somehow lacks some 'kick'.

Yes! Thank you! I have Ram and McCartney as vinyl transfers and they do sound better than the '93 CDs.
