building a last reserve." He entered an insane asylum in his 50's at which time he declared, "I am not here to write, but to be mad!" Institute Benjamenta, the surreal film by the Brothers Quay, was based on his work Jakob von Gunten. I love the mood of that film. Very fascinating post. Thank you.

Ha, yes. Ironic, really; I originally intended this channel to be a source of deviant art, poetry, film etc, yet the "Art and Inspiration" section has turned out to be the most neglected. I will be remedying that in future. Many thanks for the kind comments.
