I'm afraid they're not. Those guys wearing balaclavas are members of MEND (the Movement of the Emancipation of the Niger Delta). They claim to fight for justice for the Niger-Delta region. In reality, they're a bunch of criminals (ex-political killers, cultists, and illegal bunkerers) responsible for the deaths of soldiers, police officers and innocent civilians (including a family member of mine). With all due respect, they're NOT part of the Nigerian military.
there are no official nigerian special forces, The pirates you refer to are a cult a paramilitary unit similar to MEND, they are at war with the military.

The 1st picture is not the nigerian army, the second picture are niger delta militants a terrorist group, F148 frigate is south african navy, the guy with the m16 is not nigerian but liberian, the last picture are militants from MEND a terrorist group. The Nigerian army goes back further than 1956 to the RWAFF Royal west african frontier force. Check the Nigerian army website
What Nigeria has for military might has always been shrouded in secrecy. Even most defence websites can only give scanty information or guesses..As for S/A wipping Nigeria, i heavilly douth it..... thanks 4 d clip.
